The delivery was prompt and the beers look fine. It's now ready to be given as a Christmas Gift. Describing it as a 'hamper', with misleading pictures, is false advertising. We were disappointed with the presentation: a cardboard box with beers in it. Bearing the above in mind, it works out as very expensive to include delivery to N Ireland etc. We wouldn't have minded the expense if it had been presented as a hamper/gift.

Didn't have all the beers in stock, so replacements were chosen and sent by Beer Hawk. Would have preferred not to have paid for beers I didn't order as they were quite expensive. I was happy with the beers I ordered though.

I ordered a case of beer and a couple of glasses as a present. The beer arrived quickly, however when I came to open the box the glasses had not arrived. After contacted customer service they informed me that the glasses were out of stock and offered me a refund, which was processed the same day. I must say I was a little disappointed that the glasses were out of stock as it did not say this at any time whilst I was ordering, on my email confirmation or on the shipping manifest included in my parcel (which gave the impression they were in the box). This was annoying and is why they only get a normal rating as it is not difficult to monitor stock and avoid such situations arising and indeed to initiate contact when it was clear that the glasses would not be shipped in the original consignment - I generally don't think I should have to follow up with to get an explanation in such circumstances. That said I will definitely be ordering some beer from them again... and have half and eye on the beer club.

Andrew, yes huge apologies for this, the warehouse gremlins had been shuffling our glasses and we thought we had more than we did. There should also have been a notification in the box that there was something out of stock. Glad you liked the beer though and hopefully we can tempt you with our beer club!

I ordered two American craft beer gift boxes on a wednesday afternoon. One box arrived that Friday. On calling Beer Hawk it turns out they left one of the boxes in the warehouse and would deliver it the following Friday, which was no good as they were a present required on the Saturday. The overall selection of beers was very good, they let themselves down with delivery.

Only problem was the dozens and dozens of texts I received (2 per minute, for 45 minutes, until I blocked sender) from 0500 am on the day of delivery, to tell me to expect my order in 2 days time.

The product is 1st class and good value for the money you pay. My lower rating is a result of dealings with the company, on the few occasions that I have had cause to email them - namely non delivery of product and an issue with delivery itself, I have had to wait an unacceptable amount of time for a response.

Wasn't too impressed with the product. It was a present for a 30th birthday and felt the message printed on the invoice was poor. Over priced and bad delivery

Disappointed with the delivery of the beers. The delivery company claimed they had attempted delivery when they actually hadn't. Really disappointed.

Goods were delivered promptly, but the package was slightly damaged in transit (outer box only). Not all beers have yet been sampled, but a couple of those I have tried were not up to speck - cloudy or hazy at best, with some disappointing flavours coming through. Others were perfectly fine though. I would have to think hard before committing myself to a similar purchase again - I only went for this on the back of an apparent CAMRA recognition.

Hi Stephen, Sorry if there were issues with any of the beers in your case. All of them were finalists at CAMRA's Champion Beer of Britain this year, so they should have been outstanding! If you believe there were any that were faulty though we will of course issue a refund on that beer and also be able to let the brewery know so they can rootcause any issues. Thanks Louise

Allow 8 working days for delivery. That was my experience.

I don't think l will use this again.the time frame for delivery was just to. Great before the day .You cannot ask anyone to wait all day if you're at work.

Hello thanks for the comment. Sorry if you had waited in all day for the delivery, usually the couriers will email or text you to let you know of the time that they will be delivering. They will also leave the item in a safe place or with a neighbour if requested cheers Louise

Good website but slow delivery and poor communication - I was told me order was being prepared and it didn't leave the warehouse for another 3 days!

Thanks for your comments and our apologies for the delay with your order. 95% of our orders are going out within 24 hrs but candidily it looks like there was a packing error with yours and it got delayed. There's nothing else to say really apart from it's a fair cop, we messed up. We'll be processing a refund for the delivery charge as an apology

Absolutely no quibbles with beer itself - obviously top-quality. Delivery arrangements are surely less than perfect. It was entrusted to a courier - Citylink - who tried to deliver twice, but did not/could not leave with neighbour as requested. Since I did not have a clue as to the approximate time I might expect delivery, even if I knew the likely day, it was something of a long shot that I would be at home. All of us are busy getting on with our lives, not suspending them for the whole of a working day while waiting for an untimed beer delivery. I can see why it is advantageous to the delivery company not to be tied down to a specific time or even a time slot, not so sure that I can see any real consideration for the average working customer here. In the end, I had to spend an hour's time & diesel to retrieve the purchase before it was returned to sender. This is a basic flaw with such purchases by single people who have no on-tap at-home backup team to provide signature/access. The beer is great, but I would think carefully before entering such a scenario again.

The product was very good and my son really pleased, however, I asked if it could arrive by Friday 15th for his birthday (I realise you state that it takes 5 days but speak to you and you will try to deliver by a specific date) and my order was not placed until the Monday but I phoned twice and was promised an update via email later in the day but nothing was received and the tracking number didn't work - it arrived on Monday 18th. No big deal I guess but better communication would have been appreciated.

I so wanted them to be brilliant - they sound an exciting company, doing something I'm really in to (unusual beers). And the website is really good. But I think I was maybe unlucky. First order was apparently damaged in transit, so never received. I got an email promising "replacements to be sent out today for delivery tomorrow". But in fact it took a couple of days to arrive. And when they did, four of the beers weren't actually what I'd ordered - but had been substituted for something different. Will think I'll try elsewhere for my next order.

First parcel was damaged (never actually arrived) so they re-sent it - so some delay in delivery. Main worry was that the payment part of their website was classed as "insecure" - I emailed to ask them about it - but never got an answer. Also, they substituted a beer without asking - as they were all carefully chosen as a gift that was frustrating. The website has an interesting collection of beers. If I used them again I'd order by phone unless they can guarantee secure payment on-line.

Our website has an up-to-date SSL Certificate provided with Commodo secure, and so should always show https:/ on every order and checkout page. We have not been able to replicate the issue that you have experience, but if you could provide your browser details our technical team will investigate further.
