Whilst the product appears good, I ordered a beer case based on the fact that the case would be delivered within 3 days in ordered in plenty of time to give as a birthday present. Having not received my beer ordered I contacted Beer Hawk to find out what was going on and eventually received it some 12 days after placing my order. I was left embarrassed at not having a birthday present to give on the date of the birthday thanks to not sending out in a reasonable time frame. In addition to this one of the beers I ordered was out of stock. Rather than at the very least send me a complimentary replacement you simply removed the bottle from my order. Despite complaining I never received a replyh to my email dated 29th November. Very poor service!

The prices aren't any cheaper than you'd get in any craft beer shop. The whole point of the service is that it's delivered to your door. I therefore think the delivery part of the service should be spot on. In order to receive a delivery, you've got to be in. The delivery date isn't guarenteed up front and that's a fault in the service in itself. I ordered for a colleagues leaving present and wasn't informed of the delay due to items being out of stock and his parents had waited in especially. Anything that affects delivery times should be communicated and I didn't find out until I chased the following week.

Used to get really good service from Beer Hawk, not any more though. Orders now never turn up within the promised 5 working days. It all seems to stem from around the time they moved warehouses, don't know if they have grown too quickly and now can't cope. Whatever it is, very disappointed and I will now start to source my beer from elsewhere.

After a poor experience with the courier service Beerhawk use last year, I decided to give them another go this year. I ordered a box of beers as a present for my other half on the 28th November, knowing that we were exchanging gifts on 10th December. On the Beerhawk site it said deliveries could take up to 5 working days so I figured this would be more than enough time. Cut to nearly 2 weeks later and still no sign. I contacted customer services, who to be fair are very contactable and always reply, and was assured my package would be with me by Thursday at the latest (today is Thursday and still no sign). I am annoyed that they arent just honest from the start that they are suffering from a back log. If there had been something on the website with regards to a 2 week wait I would have just paid for an express delivery or shopped somewhere else entirely for peace of mind. Such a good website but they really need to just be honest!

The company need to take on extra staff if they are going to run popular deals: I ordered some beers in the Black Friday event and chose to have them delivered within 5 working days. This time elapsed and I contacted them and asked them to cancel the order as I had ordered the beers specifically for a party. A couple of seemingly generic apology emails and then radio silence. On checking the order today, I found it was 'With Courier' - this prompted me to call them and get it cancelled. The reason I'm giving them 2 stars and not 1 is the guy sorted everything out very quickly and recall the courier before they delivered superfluous beer. With so many other online beer shops, I think me and Beer Hawk are probably done...

Children ordered beer advent calendar for their dad arrived promptly but as stated in other reviews the inner carton is out of line with the outer carton making it difficult to get the bottles out , and the cans have fallen out of the holder as they are shorter than the bottles. I was also expecting larger bottles of beer for the cost of the calendar making this an expensive gift. Nice idea but not worked in practice! !!

Can I suggest you stop using UKMAIL as your delivery service, they are an absolute shambles, and as a result means I consider my experience with Beer Hawk poor

I made the purchase of a case and 3 additional beers. The experience through your site was without issue. The problems (there were a few) came with the delivery company. I believe it was postal UK. ETA was the following day but it did not arrive. It did not arrive on the 2nd day either but on the 3rd. What was more troublesome than the delays was the difficulty in communicating with UK postal service and their lackadaisical attitude towards helping provide clarity. Their website that shows what number you are on the delivery path did not update either day and on calling they told me they were running late and would be around. They did this without taking any info and I rather naively part trusted in the advice. I did speak to your customer services who on 2 occasions said they escalated the matter to management (this was on after 6pm call lines). However I only received a response after the delivery had arrived.

Ordered the Beer Advent calendar....great idea and my husband loves it! Sadly when he opened be the first door today the cardboard bottle holders have moved and without actually ripping the calendar we struggled to get the bottle out!! I feel we're going to have the same problem everyday this month! Good idea, sadly the concept needs looking at, disappointed.

Purchased the beer advent calendar and opened the first door, only to find that the bottle have slipped out of their retainers, so very difficult to pull out. On further inspection almost all of the beers are out of their cardboard retainer. Not very good design, but at least the beer glass was very well wrapped up. I think that I will not buy this item again.

Sadly like others I have had problems with the advent calendar, mine is all bashed up inside and although the beer can be retrieved the concept of the advent calendar does not work. I will contact you via email too

Hi, we received advent calendar but have given the advent calendar to my husband tonight so that he could open the first door that says to open, and there is nothing there in the first hole, as the whole lot has collapsed inside. Advent calendar is useless now as we then opened no. 1 to find that everything is half a line out of sync, and nothing can be retrieved. Useless!! Please can you urgently send another one as this was a lot of money and was part of my husband's christmas present and now it is all spoilt.

Probably the worst online shopping experience I've had. When I first ordered, Beer Hawk sent me 2 items and then after a week said that they couldn't fulfill the final item - after I prompted them, twice! After weeks of not hearing anything they didn't contact me and when I contacted them they barely apologised and simply said I'd have to wait until they receive more supplies. Within that correspondence I asked that Beer Hawk inform me when they have the item back in stock and would be sending it out to me - over 2 months after I ordered my items I noticed that the remaining item was back in stock on their website, they failed to inform me and I, yet again, had to prompt them to send me the final item. Nearly 3 months after my initial purchase I finally received my last item. Shocking communications and customer service all round - I am amazed at their apparent apathy towards customer satisfaction! In over a decade shopping online this is certainly one of thr worst and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone!

I ordered a mixed German case. Even though all the individual beers were shown as in stock, when the case arrived 40% of the beers were replacements and all replacements were weissbiers which should have accounted for under 10% of the case. In trying to resolve this, I was promised by Louise that a replacement would be sent the next day and the first case collected. This just didn't happen and after a number of phone calls I finally negotiated a partial refund. Not what I call good customer service!!!

Didn't receive the email supposed to be sent on dispatch. Only 13 bottles in the case when 15 paid for. Still not heard back from Beer Hawk regarding my missing bottles.

I've lost £5.50 worth of beer tokens, have not received reason why from customer service, my request to escalate the complaint has been met with silence. Awful service. Shame.

You claim to deliver within three days. I have now waited for eleven days. The American beers I ordered missed Thanksgiving. My email to the company has remained unanswered. Beginning to wonder if this set-up is an elaborate scam. John Allen --Order No 100104046

I have ordered a number of times from Beerhawk this year and always received first class service. I placed a beer order on 15th November, heard nothing, sent an email, got no reply so called them on 23rd, to be told that I should have been sent an email. On 24th I called again to be told that some of the beers were out of stock (it would have been nice to have been told this!) but they were expected in any day soon. Because I was a good customer I was given £10 of additional beer tokens which I then used to place a further order. Was that a mistake, I ask myself as it is now 28th and I have tried to call but without success? I see today that Beerhawk are doing a Black Monday 15% sale. I also notice that the number of beers available is drastically reduced which makes me wonder if they are having problems with their suppliers... I fear the worst even though I will keep on trying to speak to them.

They shipped the beer to the billing address rather than the shipping address. Still awaiting delivery to the correct address 16 days later.

I took yesterday off work as I had pre-ordered the advent calendar for delivery, I waited in all day and it never arrived. Payment was taken in Oct when I ordered. I emailed them yesterday (Monday), no response today and still no calendar. I have emailed again today. I await to hear the story of what happened.
