After my order arrived I discovered that some of the cans were damaged and one of the beers I'd ordered was out of date. I emailed Beer Merchants concerning this as well as a couple of pictures I had taken of the out of date beer and they didn't even bother to get back to me. Definitely won't be using this company again. Bad.

One of the bottles in the pack leaked which meant my package was sent to the post office and not delivered as the box was soaked. The item was a gift so I retrieved it a day late. Over all was happy with products but disappointed with the postage and packaging service. The items weren’t secure at all. And out of 6 bottles I was let with only 5. Yet paid a lot more for them compared to over retails. Not sure I’ll be reusing the service - I’ve left email regarding the order as it’s so close to Christmas and I just don’t have the time. But I was advice by the post office to return the box and claim a refund.

Shipment seized by Revenue! It is illegal to import beer unaccompanied into Ireland, had I known that I never would have purchased from them! Why they offer shipment to Ireland, and I paid extra for this service, is beyond me.

I was very dissatisfied with the delivery of this order and your customer service support around it. I ordered on the 2nd December. On the 4th when I checked my account it said it had been delivered. I hadn't received it. I wrote twice to customer service with no response and tried to call twice with no answer. It finally arrived 6 days later out of the blue. When I opened it I found it had been badly packaged and the cans were all shaken up and several dented. I wrote to you about that and all I got back was a very vague apology, no acknowledgement of responsibility and an overt blaming of Royal Mail for not not handling the package properly.....Ummmm what about the customer in the middle of this. Appalling.

Extremely disappointed that the black Friday discount was not applied to my order. I missed this input by mistake and email customer service within minutes of placing the order to advise. My email was completely ignored and the 'customer service' was thrown out the window. Advertising a discount to get you on the site, but then not wanting to actually apply it. I would have to reconsider ordering from Beer Merchants again in the future.

Order arrived damaged so I refused delivery. Despite ringing up immediately after to organise a new delivery, there has been no communication of any kind a week later. Not good enough

Won't use them again unless they stop using parcel force. Had to wait a week to find out why my beers didn't arrive, parcel force had smashed them all.

Appauling. Buy elsewhere. This company is a joke. After waiting for a week i still hadnt recieved my order as oarcel force had it lyong in there warehouse and hadnt delivered it. Asked tbe beer merchant to chase parcel force up. But instead they took upon them selves to cancel my order without asking me to confirm a cancellation etc first. Absolutely disgusting way to treat a repeat customer. I will never shop here again and i recommend nobody else waste there time with beer merchant either

I preaume this review request email is automated. You would not manually send this (surely) after our receny exchanges. I ordered a simgle 75cl of beer plus 2 mixed cases of German beer which were headlined as containinh 10 nottles each. What arroved was 15 bottles not the expected 21. 4 of the missing bottlea were forwarded on a second delivery following a couple of calls taking the total receoved to 19. The remaining 2 bottles were the subject of further calls and emails. On your website the headline read 10 bottles but within the 'what's inside' tab the beers listed totalled only 9. I was offered no compemsation for my teoubles and short order despite pointing out this was a mis-sale. I have since noticed the error on the site has been corrected. You tell me what score out of 5 that sorry story should attract (as I'm forced to give at lesst 1 to post this message). David Randell

Poor communication this order. Ordered 3 X Braekmans hazelnut jenever and not delivered. no notification apart from saying goods despatched. received email saying refund from paypal. no idea what happened to my order.

Disappointing. Second time in a row they sent me out of date beer. No apology, no compensation, didn’t even refund without re-collecting, so further inconveniencing. Would avoid as others offer better service.

Truly awful service. It took me several phone calls and over three weeks to get my delivery. Was also overcharged. If I hadn’t chased them, I wouldn’t have got my refund or my beer.

I was disappointed by the way my beers were packaged. Parcel Force may be partially to blame for the state of my parcel but the initial packaging was poor. There was a large hole in the side of the box below the hand grips. Anyone could look into the box to see the contents. There was only one strip of tape holding the top of the box closed. This had not been put on straight so was barely keeping the box closed. The bottles of beer were poorly packed so were rattling around in the box. No bubble wrap of extra protection used. Poor response to compliant. No reply on twitter and no offer of compensation.

Hi Mark, Really sorry about this, the handle has definitely been ripped in transit by the looks of it. From what we can tell this looks to have been carried by just one of the handles which has made the entire contents of the package move. The issue has already been raised with our account manager at Parcelforce. The Beer Merchants Team

Ordered on Tuesday 25/12/18. Still no delivery as of Friday 04/01/18. Totally unacceptable, refund and cancellation of order requested. Won’t use again. Very poor service.

I ordered beer on 20th December for Christmas and it arrived on 28th which is pretty poor considering that Brewdog manage to get it all the way from Aberdeen pretty well next day!

Hi Michael, Apologies that this order did not arrive in time for Christmas as you wanted, but our guaranteed delivery cut-off was the 19th Dec. We always try our best to get everything placed after this cut-off point but it is not a guarantee. Apologies again, The Beer Merchants Team
