“Let me start by saying I am not one to write reviews but I have never had such a bad experience with a company's customer service. I ordered a new tv from best buy on June 8, 2020 and scheduled the delivery for June 13 between 12 and 6 pm. My wife took off work to be there since it needs a signature to be delivered and after waiting around all day, nobody showed up to deliver the tv with no calls or emails saying they wouldn't make it. I log on to my account to see if that can tell me where it is and it says it was delivered even though it never arrived at my house. I called customer service right away to try and get it resolved asap and waited over 2 hours to ever talk to anyone. She told me that she submitted it for review to look into what happened to it and I would hear back in 24 - 48 hours. I wait over 48 hours with no calls so I called them back and waited another hour on hold to talk to someone. They told me that it was dispatched and still waiting to hear back from the delivery company but could not get into contact with the company. I called back every day to try and get it figured out but they tell me the same thing every time. To wait 24 hours, but I never hear back. Best Buy needs to find a better delivery company to use and hire people that know what they're doing. Nobody can actually help you there and every one of them just transfers you to someone else that is clueless and of course you have to hold for a long time and reexplain everything every time. It has been two weeks now and I still don't have my Sony 65" tv but they were quick to take my $1060. I advise anyone thinking of ordering anything through Best Buy to shop elsewhere because if there is any kind of issue with it they will not be able to help you and will make you jump through hoops to get a resolution.”
“Deserve 0 stars.... we went to best buy on Saturday and Sunday gave our refrigerator measurements and was assured 5he refrigerator would fit. We wait 5 days for delivery. They came inside measured and said it wouldn't fit. I said how the guy at the store said it would fit. The delivery guy said I deliver them all the time ot won't fit. Our options were accept it and if it doesn't fit we are stick with the refrigerator or refuse and get a refund. We refused the item. Then I had to call a number wait over 20 minutes for a representative to be told the refund would come in a check. I go to explain I didnt pay in a check form and she hangs up on me. I then call Best Buy corporate office to speak to Corie Barry CEO and I get transferred named Nick. He was far from helpful and explained the 1200 I paid will come in a form of a check and what we paid in Debit would get back as debit. I explained I didnt pay in check and they didnt have to wait 15 days for my money. He tells me that i need to take responsibility because I should of went on Best But website to read the refund policy before making our purchase. I said excuse me how about your employee selling the appliance say if something was to happen and the purchase is refunded anything over $800. Has to be issued in a form of a check. I will be contacting the business business bureau.”
“In March I was supposed to receive a 50 inch. HDTV from Best Buy through Elite Biz Rewards. Through my purchase from Art Van, I received a voucher code: 64HE5730667. This code was sent from Elite Rewards and they told me that I would receive an email from Best Buy when the T.V. would be shipped. However, I NEVER received that email and the T.V. was never shipped.
I am livid by the customer service of Best Buy as no customer associate was able to help me on the help line and I was redirected to different departments FOR OVER TWO HOURS.
I have been a loyal Best Buy customer, and even purchased three phones from you, but if this is how you treat your customers, then I will be sure to give my business elsewhere. I will be leaving negative reviews on multiple forums until someone can give me answers and provide proper customer support.”
“I spent over $800 on a tv and accessories to be installed by the Geek Squad today between 12:00 noon and 8:00pm. At 8:35, they have been a no show. I received a confirmation phone call last night of the appointment. Tomorrow I return to Best Buy for a final time to get my money back!”
“Geek squad told me to buy MSFT software I did not need and then when I tried to call and return it - twice I waited for well over an hour and then they dropped the call on me both times. I think they should think less about their stock price and bottom line profits and hire more people for customer service and improve their own systems!!!!!!!!!”
“Really deserve no stars but not an option! Purchased a freezer, picked it up Friday, set it up and plugged in Saturday and it never worked. My husband spent almost 2 hours on the phone Sunday morning. First told by one associate they did not have one to exchange, but then by another they had a larger more expensive model, and then by a third they had no freezers at all. Tried get someone from the Geek Squad out to service it,but were told that they do not service our area; we are literally 2 miles from the Best Buy in Greenfield! Told to call corporate to have it picked up and after waiting an additional hour and a half, were told that we had to return it to the store. They would only pick up for a $70 charge! What an absolute joke! Should have listened to all the bad reviews; never again Best Buy”
“Purchased a mini fridge with free delivery. Arrived damaged due to poor manufactures packing. Tried for 1.5 hours to contact someone, the best I got was a recording stating I would have to bring to the store. Poor customer service keeps you on hold, transfers you and hold again.”
“My family and I were shopping for a new 80” TV, soundbar, and woofer combo. We were willing to spend a substantial amount of money. We did not receive the customer care that we expected because Leon at the front of the store didn’t seem to care that we were customers. We were very disappointed by the customer service skills of the employees at the store, they were very nasty and unprofessional! May have to go spend money elsewhere, perhaps Walmart.”
“After spending more than $6,000+ this month for a major appliance, an expensive 55" TV, and many related products, including Geek Squad, extended warranties, etc, I would sum up the Best Buy experience as continuous hassles, glitches, screw ups, and a bureaucratic set of rules that matches your state DMV.
NOTHING went right and management was unable to solve a single issue. They just apologize politely but can's solve the problem.”
“Purchased a GE Dishwasher online and installation date was set for June 18, 2020 (Carlsbad, CA). The subcontractor installer (Excellence Install, 619-816-4923) took away my working dishwasher and installed a supposedly new one. After one hour struggle, they told me that the new dishwasher is leaking and giving error message.
I was told someone from Best Buy will call the same day to schedule a replacement.
Today is June 22 and after 5 days no one from Best Buy has called. Washing the dishes by hand and as usual a clumsy 73 year old man cut his hand while washing a drinking glass that broke.
Don't trust these suckers, so called Geek Squad for installing anything in your home. They are inexperienced/cheap subcontractors.”

“I bought a pricy laptop which has 16 MB RAM at Best Buy Clearwater. The sales person recommended that I purchase 2 additional 16 MB RAM to upgrade the laptop to 32 MB RAM. I ordered the RAM and was told to purchase Geek Squad service to install it. After two weeks I received my order, which was not the RAM but two car starter cables (?!). I went back to Bestbuy to return the starter cables and had to reorder the RAM. I lost my purchased slot at Geek Squad and when I asked them to just help me put the RAM in (which would take them 15 minutes) I was told there was a 2 week wait before I even could make an appointment. The guy there was rude and wouldn't even consider helping, so I asked for a refund on the Geek Squad service. I went to Staples instead, where they found out that this laptop doesn't even have 2 slots for RAM, just one. They put the one RAM slot into the computer rapidly and professionally, and for less than Geek Squad. So now I have to bring the unnecessary RAM back again. Lousy service, wrong products, NO help whatsoever - no wonder Best Buy is going broke!”

“The most rude staff I have even had to deal with in a retail store. The website should also state when mailing purchase with a install that the install is backed up from March! Also I received the email saying my stereo is there and ready to make a install appointment. Then I call and they say not taking appointments till all others are caught up. Rudely to I may add(Maplewood , MN location)Then I would have waited to make this purchase. Now I have to search for a install!! Thanks not so good buy! From a former loyal customer!”
“Best Buy is awful on updates as well as telling the truth. I order a Samsung TV and given a delivery date,which was delayed by a day and only to be lost in transit. I was told a reship for a date and that was also delayed. Ont he new delivery date, I received a text it was pushed out 2 more days. So I called to inquire why, then was put back into a portal and received a text that delivery date was the same day. I called again to make sure only to be lied that the delivery date pushed by both a rep and the supervisor. I called back to report both reps for lying because I would have had product on a porch left for almost 24hrs. I will not trust Best Buy to handle any deliveries and their reps the lie.”

This is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. We're currently on hold to speak to a customer service representative on two phones. One to discuss this and one to cancel our month old order.”
