You have to pay to use their phone support line even if you're already a paying customer. Their internet speed is NEVER even close to being as fast as advertised. They take hours to respond to support messages, truly awful service on all fronts. NEVER BUY VIRGIN MEDIA BROADBAND!

We've had daily problems with the internet connection for almost two years. After at least six visits from engineers it's been decided we need a new cable. A team came yesterday to do the work and simply disappeared. After four hours on the phone trying to get through through and being disconnected twice.... got through to a woman who yawned her way through the conversation.... said she would phone back.... and of course... didn't. The customer service is absolutely appalling. We are paying for a service that is not fit for purpose. Is no one monitoring what is going on at the call centres???

Shocking Wifi, Shocking customer service. They have amazing theoretical download speeds but its irrelevant because the way the service is set up is bonkers. I cannot wait to move to another supplier

Awful service, no one ever answers the phone, internet goes down with no explanation for ages (8 days and counting currently). Avoid like the plague. If there was a minus stars option I would give it that.

Categories My ReviewsMy Settings HelpLOG OUT Des GordonGB For companies Des Gordon United Kingdom 4Reviews 557Reads 0Useful Review of Virginmedia Des Gordon 4 reviews A minute ago AVOID VIRGIN MEDIA Virgin media installed our Phone, broadband and tv package on the 31st OCt 2020. The phone number was not ported from Sky as requested. This is my business number. It's on.my van, stationery and all my adverts. We have spent well over 10 hours trying to get through to Virgin. The phone rings for an HOUR then cuts you off! When you do get through to someone, after waiting for an hour to get through, they transfer you and guess what, you get cut off. Nobody is prepared to take ownership and sort out the problem, which is most likely costing me money in missed calls. We now want it all taken out. Disconnect the lot of it and I will stick to freeview. For a communications company, I have never experienced anything like it, absolutely disgraceful (and they will use covid as an excuse which I dont buy at all). Arguably the worst company I have ever dealt with. Oh, they were very quick to bill and take the £98 first bill!

Internet connectivity with Virgin is the worst I have ever experienced. Signal is up & down by the minute from 0.3 to 100 & then back down again a moment later. Avoid at all costs unless you want to end up sticking pencils in your ears!

Awful customer service, awkward interface for their TV channels and unreliable cable network. Our WiFi has been down for more than 24 hours again... very disruptive when trying to work from home.

In the middle of a global pandemic Virgin Media think its acceptable to send a salesman to my house to try and "sweeten the deal" (his words, not mine) after i'd looked at their products on-line and had put my address into their webside to check if I could get connected. Certainly not now or in the future.

Terrible customer service. Yesterday I call them for moving my house. They accepted it and fixed the new contract from 28 th of this month for my new house. From today morning there is no Internet connection. When I logged in they said the contract ended. I call them twice, kept on hold for over 1 hours and cut off. As an nhs staff, we expect at least a minimum standard from our provider. This is terribly frustrating...

Useless as a business broadband. When it works it is fine but over the last 4 years the service has gone down at least twice a year and to get up and running again is a massive ordeal of being on hold for hours on end, being transferred to call centres around the world, to endless engineer visits. This last episode which prompted my review had seen our service being completely off for 5 days only to be told that I should upgrade to a more expensive bundle to get a better fault turnaround time! Against my better judgement I upgraded and 3 days later, still no service. I am currently listening to the horrible hold music which makes me want to shoot myself waiting to speak to a "customer satisfaction agent" - current hold time 1hr 22mins. p.s. they also deny their service outages which is infuriating when you call to tell them that the service is down and they say "no it isn't, we have had no reports of service outage"! Choose life, choose a different service provider for your business broadband!

TLDR: Ordered Virgin Media 6 weeks before moving into new home. On day of install they cancelled and 4 months later still don't have an apology. Ordered Virgin media 6 weeks before moving into our new home. 4 weeks prior, they came out and did a site survey. The week before install, the came and did another survey. Two days before the install, they did a 3rd survey. The day of the install, 2 hours after my install slot I got a call to let me know they were not going to install as it was too much trouble. Made a complaint, 2 months later got a letter letting me know the complaint was being looked into. 4 Months in, still do not have a apology. Just go else where, unless you want awful service, SLA's that are affected by weather and KPI's that are rarer than unicorns.

Don't go with virgin. Customer service doesn't exist I either get cut off or am on hold until I get cut off (on hold for longer than 20 minutes). I'm constantly re starting the Internet because it is cutting off all the time. We have a TV box but it was never installed like we where promised so is collecting dust instead. No one has sorted the problem out, I wish I wasn't in a contract with them. DON'T GET VIRGIN

Absolutely useless.. Not had any tv picture for nearly two weeks now! Unfortunately had to view via tv's built in freeview! Cant get through to customer services. You can be on the phone for hours to customer services and then get cut off before you've even spoke to anyone! They soon want your money though, which incidentally continues to rise on a very frequent basis!! Take my advise... Don't sign up to Virgin Media. EVER!!!

Impossible to report a fault with the landline. Online service status checker says there are no faults in the area, but calls are going to another house in our road and we cannot call in or out (this is a longstanding phone line and number, not a new one). Customer services don't answer 0345 number (and cut you off after an hour) and other advice is to call 150 from your Virgin phone (which we can't do as we can't call out). Online chat specifies a response within 24 hours ... we're waiting!! Dreadful service from a large, well-known supplier. There should be a simple way to report a fault!
