“Some challenges respecting YouTube vision learning, It was necessary for me to reactivate (backup one level of learning) every time I wished to progress to the next session. Other than that, I was impressed respecting the overall content.”

“The 7 modules were easy to understand and therefore making it comfortable taking the course. The quiz after each module helped on knowing what is needed for your boating license. The exam gave you the opportunity to test that knowledge on the modules. It made it easier on taking the exam knowing that you still had other opportunities of being able to take another exam if not making the 80% requirement.”

“It was all clear and easy to understand. Good to see that the coarse is a pretty good length so it's not too easy cause people need to know how to safely operate a pleaser craft.”

“Modules were repetitious. Some information was not relevant. This is just a money grab by our government. The Boat Smart card should be geared to the length of boat that one will be sailing. Example:Big difference between a 20' boat versus a 50' boat. Our boat will not be sailing in Lake Ontario orthe St. Lawrence.”

“Easy lesson plans from start to finish and great website interface! The fact the website allowed you to save your progress and come back at a later time (since it took be almost 4 hours total to complete) allowed me to break it up a bit... so for me this feature was very helpful.”

“Although State age law exempted me from having to take a boating course, the Boatsmart course was a helpful refresher to me since it’s been over 30 yrs since I’ve owned and operated a boat.”

“I was able to complete the certificate in one day. I think I should have received credit for my 65 years of serious experience. I think the steady statements were a little simplistic for my boating experience, but good for someone new to boating. I also think I should have been able to transfer my Boat Smart Canada card to qualify for California card.”
