“I am glad I took this test”

“It would have been nice to retake the test without doing the modules all over again. I got 7/10 for one, with one mistake and had to redo almost an hour of a module. You should at least have the option to redo the test for a single retry before forcing a retake of the module. The other is that the timer doesn't correspond to your videos. I found myself waiting for the timer to finish after the video was done. Not sure if I'd recommend you to guys to others for these reasons.”

“I was very happy with the way the course was structured. Computer assisted learning allowed me to do it at my speed. I liked the regular quizzes, which helped me to see that I was actually learning. learning.”

“90% of the content is easy to remember and does not need to be covered so extensively, honestly the whole thing should really only tale no more than 3 hours, unfortunately because of the way its designed, it takes over 4, the system needs to be redesigned to be slightly faster to go through the modules otherwise people will give up on doing it”

“The one thing that could be changed is the fact that you have to go through whole module if you miss the mark I would recommend just the ones that were wrong that you re visit”

“The course was well layed out, easy to follow and very user friendly. The module quizzes set everyone up to successfully pass the final test. I do recommend having the hard copy course book for quick reference.”

“Longest most boring course ever . Questions are made for captains of commercial ships . I want to run a 17 ft boat on a lake not a fishing ship in the bering sea”

“I really appreciated having the live chat feature available, as I was working through the modules. Occasionally I had questions and it was so helpful to be able to just pop online with someone. I also loved the videos! They were so clear and so helpful in genuinely learning boat safety”

“Course was poorly done. The information was good and the format was awful ! The different modules were fine but the quiz format was absolutely terrible!!! When a module is completed the quiz should be open book and when you get an answer incorrect you should be informed what the correct answer is and not have to do the entire module over again. I found the entire course experience extremely stressful and way too drawn out. Much of the information was unnecessary for an average pleasure craft operator , and could be easily obtained if necessary on any cell phone with data . (Everyone) I would not recommend that anyone take the online course because it in all honesty is too hard and very frustrating!”
