“Answers were written in a way that you had to guess what was the right answer. After the test you do not find out what you got wrong. How do you learn from that? The answer you think is right could be wrong. Also it takes way to long. Driving a boat not an airplane. All in all ot is just a money grab and not there to help anyone learn.”

“On the final exam, I swear there was 2 or 3 questions that weren't covered by the course. Didn't remember the content and couldn't find it when I went back and looked for it. (It's open book) other than that, very informative. Whole course took about 4 hours including the final exam. Took me a week”

“Very easy to approch lessons, friendly thansition. I specially like the part when the website called me "captain" before i took the test. Although some part of the website is inaccessable, like shop and personal infi...? Not sure why”

“Exam is not a learning experience. As a teacher, experience has proven that you need to know what question you got wrong to learn the right answer so that you can become knowledgeable. To keep redoing modules from the beginning and not know what to improve is not very productive. I have completed this with 8 grandchildren and one is still working on getting licence and I do not find your system a good educational tool. I will be calling in to discuss further.”

“I got really frustrated and annoyed having to go through the modules again if I failed the quiz. You should change it so the second time it's not timed and they can skip the lessons a bit quicker.”

“BOATsmart did a very thorough job of explaining every aspect of boating, safety, requirements and laws that are associated with it. I definitely gained a great amount of knowledge form the course. However, I think that a 5 hour course is too long for something that is this simple. Though, I do understand that BOATsmart was trying to cover every bit of information regarding recreational boating.”

“Very easy to use, and it's a nice option to be able to read, or just listen and watch. I would like to know what I answered incorrectly after a quiz, and I don't think it makes sense to have timed pages the 2nd time around when you fail a quiz.”

“I think having persons taking a test to become boat smart is awesome but I think there should be levels of tests and certificates similar to our levels of standards for vehicle licensing.”

“Did this in 6 hours. did the government online test and printed out my temporary boat operator licence the next day. Im very happy with the cost and the method they used to learn about boating safety. I recommend this site to my family and friends.”

“I found it quite easy to learn everything I needed to know about getting my license. The set up makes people with learning difficulties to easily and understand everything that is needed to know, with the videos playing over and over again if need be. For the people that understand on a higher level, they can easily skip to the next level. I found the boat smart fast and easy, and the test was very easy and straight forward as well. Thank you boat smart!!! Definitely worth my small investment.”
