“the help i received to download my temporary card was good. some of the questions on the quiz are misleading, for example changing names of the ends of the rope attached to the boat and anchor. the questions should acknowledge the correct terms with accurate recall, not confuse with incorrect similar information. the recall of information by the person being tested should be encouraged not negatively reinforced. the test answers should reflect what is known , not seek to confuse.”

“Excellent Program! The video courses didn't always come up right away. Sometimes the video played but there was no audio. It was easy enough to re-watch a section, but for the most part, the narrator was reading words already on the screen. We were able to just follow along in most cases. The narrator seemed very slow at times, and we often found ourselves wishing they were speaking a little faster, and in a more normal tone. The information was fantastic, and laid out perfectly. There are a lot of different sections, but we were glad for that. Make is much easier to take breaks.”

“It was good.Only problem is people shouldn't have to wait 24 hours to re-write the test maybe 12.. other than that I would of went. Overall Rating "VERY GOOD" Recomendation "10"”

“I felt it took a bit too long to go through the modules, but also like the way you're forced to watch every module. Our company operates small craft in the Polar Regions and would be very interested in talking with somebody who could customize a module or two to fit out operational environment. “I found Boat smart to be very informative and helpful when doing the final exam. The only thing I didn`t like about it was that if you didn`t get 80% in the module part you had to watch the video`s again which is to time consuming. Overall it is nice to be able to get your boat smart boating card online. Thank you....”

“Very comprehensive and a good informative study, the only downside/disappointment I had was when I did get a wrong answer I didn't know which one was wrong. When I called chat I was told to look up the one(s) that I was unsure of. Well that's great but I was sure that I had all the answers correct so what do I look up ? I hope the wrong answer was not a critical one that will come and bite me later. Sincerely, Jim Stenko”

“The course it self was easy to follow and manuver through. I just wish the government or powers that be, who decide what you need to know, would spend more time on actual boating or pwc "on the water" info, instead of when the laws were written or whats the name of the place that you send paperwork to. A person taking the test, should only be asked questions about being safe! Drive home the point of wearing your life jacket!! not when a law went into afect that will not help when your in the water!”

“This is a great learning tool, but I found it annoying that I had to wait through the minimum duration of a few topics that I already knew about. Overall though, I would definitely recommend this site to anyone looking to get their PCOC.”

“The course was good - It covered a lot of material. I have already put some of my knowledge to use by towing a stranded boat & crew to their dock. They said out of approx. 5 boats that went by them, I was the only one that stopped to help. Thanks BOATsmart.”

“All in all it was pretty good but found it discouraging as all I need my boaters license for was to use my seadoo just out on the lake at the cottage. The information I had to learn about the bigger waterways was unnessary in my opinion.”

“Very good course, also bought the book to study I found it easier to study and go easy on the common sense as there is only common sense if you have done something wrong then you learn not to do it again then you have common sense thank you”
