The item I purchased still had the security tag on it and a small rip to the stitching, returned by post and had to pay postage, so all in all with delivery and postage charges, the purchase was expensive. Will think twice before using Bonmarche again for online purchases

Ordered some items online. Never again, had to return some and my only option was by post with quite high charges. So will never order from them again

Horrendous customer service in the Bolton store. Extremely rude staff who humiliated an elderly woman and left her in tears. Would never go there again.

Wished I had read the reviews on here before I had ordered. Rude unhelpful store staff, initially told couldn't return items online that were paid for through pay pal (my daughters christmas gift to me) but if debit card presented would be able to. Daughter took debit card, staff took the card out of her hand and looked at it, then told she couldn't have return as the it was her name on the invoice (which it wouldn't be when she sent it to me) but if she took my debit card she could have the refund (not my money). So after the cost of 2 trips to a shop, decided to return by post at the additional cost of £4.20. Now 3 months on after items return, have only just received some of the amount owed and I am awaiting to see it the rest is going to be refund. Never shopping there again

I wish I had read the reviews before I bought my items online. Sent one item back and had to pay for the postage. Shan't shop online with Bonmarche ever again. No store near me either anymore so lost my custom that's for sure.

I was in Castleford store with my mum in law on monday and I saw a staff member shouting at another staff member in her face . The girl that was getting shouted at was only small and I felt really sorry for her as all this was in front of staff and customers. I don't think this is professional at all infact I think it's disgusting. I personally will not be shopping at your stores again and my husband and his mum will not be either even though she has shopped with you for years . Some staff should not be in customer service!

Returned trousers 5 weeks ago.. paid return postage.. no refund and rude uncaring customer service agent who said I need to take it up with Royal Mail !!! This isn’t the first time and I’m still awaiting my refund

I would never buy from this company! Their courier broke my letterbox and I have been waiting months and months for compensation promised. No reply from last enail so called and was assured a call back… nothing This company will leave you will a hole in your door with only a carrier bag to cover it.

Purchase jeans wrong jeans were sent so I had to pay to return them Still waiting for refund for jeans and postage complained to head office was asked for more details which I replied this person called Trish has completely ignored me I will think twice about ordering again

Bought items online, had to return one item, lost returns slip, so drove from my home to nearest store which is about 10 miles, to be told In store as I didn’t have full invoice that they would need to phone customer service dept, which is closed on a Saturday!! So could only offer a credit note, or wait till Monday, come back and they would phone, or I could phone customer service myself. The item was in original bag with all tags in tact, so would be back on the rack as soon as I left. I had to take a credit note and have no idea when I will be able to use it as can only be used in store. Absolute joke of a company, will definitely never buy from them again

Brought 3 pairs of jeans at the beginning of April had to send them back as I needed a bigger size. Hermes came and collected them to returned to the company. I’m still awaiting a refund of £54, when I contacted customers services the member of staff said that PayPal were bouncing the refunds and that a manager was trying to sort out the problem. I contacted PayPal and apparently this isn’t the case the problem is Bonmarche so I have now had to open a dispute to get a refund through PayPal. Won’t be using the online service again with Bonmarche if refunding people is going to be such a problem, such a shame as I always trusted this company. Looking online there are many customers who are also experiencing problems with getting refunds. Very poor and disappointing

As you haven't seen fit to publish my review even though you sent me an email requesting one I thought I would submit one direct to you on here. Your utterly incompetent carrier Hermes lost the item I had ordered with next day premium delivery. No offer was made to redespatch the item and I simply got an email five days later to say the item was lost and I would be refunded. This was extremely annoying and disappointing as the item was a present.

Ordered two tshirts and two trousers . After week they called and said that they don’t have the trousers which I chose. But they will send the T-shirts. Haven’t recived my order in two months. When I call to the office, they say that they can’t do the refund. Very bad experience.

I have been a customer with Bonmarche for a number of years and have always considered them a good company to deal with; that is until my recent returned parcel to them, has been undelivered by the post office. Happy in the knowledge I had a post office proof of posting receipt I rang Bonmarche helplin e enquiring about my refund and the representative there made a note and said she would action the steps necessary to refund my money. In order to put the matter in writing, I wrote to customer service and outline what had taken place, only to be told a different story, that Bonmarche are not like all other companies I have dealt with, inasmuch as they won't refund, until my parcel turns up at their warehouse, leaving me to pick up the tab of £74 for goods I don't have and which I have returned to them and have proof of postage of doing so. I am a 75 year old pensioner who cannot afford to lose almost the equivalent of a week's pension because Bonmarche has a policy of not accepting proof of postage to reimburse me for goods I have sent back. To be honest I am shocked at the way I have been treated. This isn't what loyal customers deserve or expect in my opinion and I am very saddened and disappointed that Bonmarche thinks that this insensitive behaviour is acceptable to their elderly customers. I have a lot of friends who feel the same and are as disgusted as I am.

Worst customer service ever, keep items that don’t belong to them , ignore emails, and make you pay for items you don’t have, don’t go near this company if you don’t want ripped off.

Walsall Store Visited today (25/10/2019) during my lunch break to collect an on line order so was pushed for time. Tried on & kept 3 of the items but wanted to exchange the 4th for another design. Both female assistants (especially the blonde one) on the till were unprofessional and unhelpful saying the exchange could not be done unless I paid a further £3.60 for an item of the same price, which should have had 20% off. They then offered me my 10% bonus off instead but but then said that couldn't be done either. The manager was called and completed the transaction without any delay even though the blonde assistant kept saying you won't be able to do it!. Unprofessional, rude staff. They could do with some customer service training. Manager was the opposite so, thank you to him. He was calm, professional & treated me with respect
