“Returns policy shocking - happy to take your money but just because a flimsy piece of plastic broke from the tag so the label is not attached they won’t accept the return and this is sneakily advertised on a small sign by the til knowing full well no one reads it. Conning poor PE shooters out of money.”

“My mum has ordered a top from here and has got nothing in return. It was ordered over a month ago they took her money but never gave the goods. I would like to know what is going to be done about it!!!”

“Clothes poorly made and dont hang properly when wearing them, this is the third time i have experienced this porblem with bonmarche clothing so it is obvious the quality is poor”

“After contacting customer services on 3rd January I returned a pair of jeans as they were faulty and sent proof of postage as asked too .I was told my refund would be by cheque and take two weeks .Never arrived.Contacted customer services by email twice and phoned three times .After saying all cheques had been returned by the post office I was assured another one would be sent out to me .Its now March and still NO Refund.Absolutely terrible service!!!”

“Again I have been caught out by paying through PayPal and then found out returns can't be taken back to the store. This is ridiculous as other retailers allow this. Why are we not warned about this when paying for online goods. Not good customer service Bonmarche.”

“Still waiting for someone to contact me about a refund I sent items back to them ages ago! Been more than 14 days and I know it’s been Xmas but no update. Says it’s been delivered on tracking but now says TikTok shop! Tried customer services on fb, contacts page on their site and still nothing! All because I purchased through PayPal! Horrible service never again I’m guessing Iv lost out on my refund unless they find the damn thing! Would not use again.”

“New branch is Blackburn Lancashire…I purchased a fine knit sparkling thread top in mauve…I wore it once and the threads were damaged in various places after being worn once…I took it back and complained about the fragility of it…the staff would only let me choose something else in replacement…there was nothing else I wanted, …they wouldn’t offer a credit note or a refund…a very hard faced manager…I’ll never shop there again…on my way home I threw it in a bin with the receipt.”

“Not happy. Bought elderly Aunt a Christmas present, skirt and top. Unfortunately she became poorly in her care home and is now bedridden, palliative care. Christmas present no good now . Wanted a refund but as I bought it end November I am out if 28 day and the Christmas policy only gives exchanges. Most shops offer christmas refunds up to a week after xmas! She is not needing any clothes! Very distressing time.!”

“Its a complaint about dumfries bonmarche eindow. Its been smashed since march. Im a customer nd i bdlieve its been smashed since march. Its been repeatedly reported. Nothing has been done. Poor ladies cant even put up a xmas display in window. Could someone please help them in dumfries branch. Thankyou”

“Customer services are rubbish cannot answer a simple question with regard to my return. Do not seem to have the information that it is back in their warehouse. Talked over me asked to speak to her manager told he was not available but then put me on hold to go and speak with him. I have requested a call back from him and 2 hours later still waitin. Shoddy service and will not buy from them again. Need to change their return process”

“Items were very cheap and nasty so returned to shop for refund, or so I thought. Because I payed by the safe option PayPal, returns have to be posted back to Bonmarche for a refund at my expense. There is no mention of this when order was placed only when you read the returns section of your delivery note. I should have read the reviews, all complain of poor return service. It has been a while since posting with Royal Mail, I will just have to be patient and wait even longer for a refund. Will not buy from Bonmarche again, I have learnt a lesson.”

“After placing my order in July and paying for the postage. It didn't arrive. I have emailed 4 times to what they call customer queries/customer services with only one reply thanking me for my patience. My patience have well and truly past. I am disgusted at the ignorance of Bonmarch staff and would like to receive the goods or a refund plus an apology. But I won't hold my breath 😡.”

“Really disappointed with bon marche return policy. Paid for postage to be delivered. Now at to pay for parcel postage to be returned. So wrong won't be ordering from them again. It doesn't help that they don't have a shop in the town centre any more the nearest one is miles away from me. Really hope I don't have to wait ages for my refund”

“Company returns policy is absolutely awful. I received a top that was marked as a size 12 on the packet but inside the garment was actually a size 20. Customer services told me they do not offer a free returns and that I had to pay the postage to return it, then send them the postage receipt and they would refund. Had an email today to say they are sending me a cheque!!! After having to drive to the post office and pay the postage to return the item I will now have to drive to the bank in the nearest town, pay car park just to bank a cheque for £3.30. This will leave me well out of pocket for a return that was the Companies issue not mine. I will not be purchasing from them again!!”
