“My first psychiatrist ignored me and did not show up to our follow-up appointments after prescribing me meds. When I was given a new psychiatrist she claimed my former provider put down my age as 16 when I’m 18 and Brightside claimed they could not help or do anything about it. Absolute disappointment and playing with people’s mental health is not okay.”
“The insomnia meds that they are allowed to prescribe are not working for me and unfortunately the stuff that might work they are not allowed to prescribe! So I’m left with no sleep at night!!! But on the other side I guess my anxiety is better!!😒😊”
“Usually the app is not not working and I’m unable to book my appointments. Or the quality of mental health care workers are poor, they don’t even listen and twice I’ve had to let them know my circumstances are different to some other patient they’re seeing”
“I’ve tried to message and set up an appointment, but I’m not getting any responses. I need a prescription refill, but I’m not sure how to get one. It’s pretty frustrating.”
“I'm on the medication plan so I get unlimited messages to/from my doctor but it sometimes takes multiple business days for them to get back to me. And with every refill, they have to give approval to my pharmacy which causes delays and I end up not getting a refill in time, causing me to miss days. Overall: Convenient but overpriced for the slow responses I receive.”
“It's ok but I don't feel like I can depend on it for long term care because my providers keep changing when I don't want them to, and I have few options to change providers when I *do* want to.”
“difficult to find a mutually convenient appointment time slot for the first consultation. not enough options for providers. medication isn’t working. nothing can be resolved over messages so you incur a copay for every meeting.”
“The only success I have had in the past six weeks is getting an appointment with a provider who could prescribe a much needed medication. She has been very thorough and accommodating, and I am having much success with the medication. However, the therapy side of the process is challenging. There were not a lot to choose from initially, and the available time slots were also lacking. I requested a change in therapists and was granted that request with excellent customer service. Then it all went downhill. I had to wait a couple weeks for an open time slot, the therapist was a no-show, and it took 36 hours to receive communication telling me I should have know after I waited online for half my session. I did not know and recieved automated messages all the way until 15 minutes before the appointment, even a threat of a no show fee. Maybe I should charge Brightside instead.”
“It's really hard to navigate and hard to communicate in a timely matter. Struggling to get a prescription refill because the therapist are not properly communicating with the Drs. Booked wrong appt. because the information given to me by the Dr. to make a follow-up appt was not clear on how to do. I ended up booking the wrong appt with a therapist instead of the Dr. and now Im stuck with no medication because I need to do another follow-up and pay $25 again when I just had an appt. on Saturday for the same thing. Really very frustrating.”
