I had one conversation with the Provider. I was prescribed medication. I fill out surveys, but really what for? No one has spoken to me in over a month. I had the impression this was more interactive. It took 10 days for medication to arrive by mail when I asked for it to be sent to a pharmacy.

It is simply too expensive for me to maintain.

I just don’t feel anything different than when I first started. I’m still feeling all the same symptoms

Accessible and was there when I needed which is great (and I’ll always appreciate) but the pricing is ridiculous. Reiterates why I and so many need health insurance. Before the pandemic I was meeting weekly with someone for the same price you’re charging to meet with someone monthly. Crazy! Med help has been great but the longterm therapy help is lacking.

Messaging is cumbersome without an app. Sending notifications via email causes delay and requires signing in every time I get an email notification. The first psychiatrist I was assigned was only available between 7:30-9am and I could only see about two available days in the coming month. She also made a mistake with the dosage of my Prozac and that caused me additional distress when i was taking 20mg instead of 40mg for 2 months. I’m so glad I asked about increasing my medication again or I may have not known for longer. I also found it difficult to align my schedule with the therapist I was assigned. I have since been transferred to someone new who is full time so hopefully that problem is a thing of the past. I have not been getting the treatment I’m paying for because of schedule unavailability. It’s frustrating.

I have manageable anxiety and depression, and I’ve been receiving various types of treatment for years. My concern about Brightside is that my provider has NOT asked enough questions about my side effects and how I’m feeling. Not only is this not worth $95/month, I am concerned that it could be dangerous for people with more severe mental health issues. I am hoping to transition to a different provider as soon as possible.

I understand that at this point I am really only paying for a doctor to write a prescription. Honestly, I find it odd that a treatment for an emotional condition is boiled down to a handful of questions and given a 'score'. I have not been overly impressed with the thoroughness of my treatment, again, even if it is really only paying for someone who has the ability to prescribe. My interactions with my doctor have been brief and scripted. I do not feel like there has been any real depth to anything we've discussed. Today I took a follow up assessment after a month of treatment, and now my score states that I am within normal limits for both depression and anxiety. I do not feel that this is even remotely correct. The questions that are asked seem to heavily focus on your more traditional depression symptoms, like sadness. While sadness is most certainly a key indicator of depression, the underlying mechanics of depression are based on lack, such as lack of happiness, lack of motivation, lack of peace. Sadness is a symptom of depression, not depression itself. The questions I saw today did not seem to account for this at all and appear to be geared towards someone who has little to no understanding of what makes depression tick. I may be severely depressed, but not ever describe myself as being sad or lonely. At the same time, I may suffer from extreme anxiety, but never describe it as worry. I have endured a lifetime of struggle at the hands of both depression and anxiety, and only recently have decided to seek medical treatment. This decision was largely made due to the fact that regardless of how much effort I put into positive tools and relationship, there was an underlying medical issue that CBT would never be able to fully correct. I'll sum this up by saying this. Not everyone that seeks treatment for depression and anxiety is going to fit the cookie-cutter profile that seems to be catered to here. You need to put more effort into questions and care, so that they truly dig into what is happening in your patients lives and mind. I plan to continue treatment for now, but I have written a similar statement to my prescribing doctor in the hopes that they will take my treatment and symptoms more seriously.

The medicine is not working

The cost of this program is too expensive especially if the customer has insurance. Brightside should offer psychiatric evaluations for multiple issues including anxiety, ADHD, and stress disorders instead of only depression. The doctors should be more personable and specifically knowledgeable about that clients health problems for an accurate diagnosis. It’s smarter to find a psychiatrist who can evaluate everything about you all in one.

For the money, I would not recommend it. You're paying over $100 a month to answer surveys, doctors do not respond in a timely manner, and insurance is not accepted. I was told in one email I would be charged a certain amount, but I was charged twice that much because the person responsible for answering the email didn't look into things on their end. Very disappointed that the charges were not reversed seeing as how I was given misinformation. I will be canceling as soon as I find a local doctor.

SO far NO! I am currently having a problem that I need to speak to someone about and email is taking too long to a response the ultimately a conclusion. As soon as I get my issue resolved I will change my review.

It’s going okay abs the meds are helping but I do not appreciate the lack of communication for $100 a month. I have insurance so will be discontinuing this website soon.

It was very easy to get a prescription and I very much enjoyed talking with my doctor - however it's been really hard to get in contact with anyone to help me with my prescription issues.

Just don’t feel like the medication prescribed is working at all. Feels like I’m paying for nothing really.

My provider is cold, uninformative and misleading. Not to mention I have to wait several days at times to get a response back. Now my new work schedule makes it so I can’t have a consultation with him because he doesn’t work on weekends or after 5. I’m very disappointed and feel like I’m massively overpaying for service I would expect from McDonald’s or Walmart.

The meetings with my therapist have fallen through 4 out of 5 times becauae of technical difficulties with the site... and the website doesn't let me reschedule after 4 sessions. I basically paid 100 dollars for 1 session and 3 attempts. At least the doctor and therapist are trying their best, but it'd be easier to zoom with a doctor's private practice. Also, the lessons seem like very basic summaries of mental health and don't help with any of the complex situations I'm going through. All in all, the website seems filled with unnecessary quizes and forms and the process of getting help feels slow and clumsy.

I have medical insurance so the fact that Brightside doesn't take that into account makes me not want to continue. It's too expensive having both.
