“Brightside was one of the few therapist/psych doctors that was accepting new patients. Brightside is liking getting a tire fixed on a highway (in New Jersey) by whoever is available, but the tire should be checked out by someone reputable that you trust back home.”
“Monthly fee for medication management (95 $) is far too high and therefore inaccessible to many people. I have already had to try to figure out how to move care elsewhere because 95/month to refill a prescription at my local pharmacy that my prescription benefit covers is not maintainable.
However the provider I worked with has been good.”
“Going good so far. I would like better accessibility like an app. I don't check my dashboard as often as I need to because my email is something I don't check regularly so I end up forgetting to check in or do much on the site.”
“My medicine provider has been very helpful and worked with me. My first therapist quit and I haven't been able to connect with my second therapist yet - I guess due to technical issues. That's the main thing that is disappointing me right now. But I have noticed an improvement in my depression and anxiety so Brightside is helping me.”
“I am not super satisfied with Brightside. I am happy that I was able to quickly get a provider, however the online site is confusing and hard to navigate. I often have trouble figuring out how to message my provider quickly. The online check-ins are frustrating in that they score you in how you rate on a depression and anxiety scale, which sometimes labels you are "minimally depressed/anxious"- which is not necessarily accurate. Simply because my medication is helping my symptoms does not mean I am "minimally" mentally ill. This rating process comes off as minimizing my experience. Additionally, several times my provider has taken more than 72 hours to respond to me, and I have gone without getting a refill on my prescription, leaving me with withdrawal side effects. For $95 dollars a month, all of these inconveniences are frustrating, especially when there are many sites out there who provide the same type of service as Brightside.”
“It’s okay for what it is. I’m glad I can easily access my medication but I feel as though my needs aren’t heard or met and therapy through bright side is entirely unaffordable. Sessions with provider are also to quick to get any points across.”
“My therapist is helping me sort through my thoughts and issues. I am learning how to acknowledge certain thought patterns that aren’t working for me and make better choices moving forward.”
“Dr is great and medication is working but support staff and procedures are absolutely the worst ever. You can not get a hold of them by phone at all. So don't even try. When you contact them via email it takes days for a response if u get one at all.. Your also automatically charged every month even if u haven't seen your Dr yet. Brightside would be great if u didn't charge people u til they seen the doctor and fixed your customer care department to have them available by phone or even chat. I have unfortunately canceled my membership due to being billed unknowingly.. hopefully I can come back soon”
“I have anxiety and anger issues to which don’t seem to be addressed in current therapy and medication. I seem to be a bit too much for your help. Also, you auto charged my account when I didn’t hit the funds and it impacted my family negatively. Survival is key currently, so I’m gonna have to shelve my treatment because one: it’s not comprehensive enough, and two, I can’t afford it if it isn’t addressing all my problems.”
