“I like using BrightSide for my psychiatric needs. I appreciate my physician who listens to me and takes me experience into account. I’m very happy with BrightSide, I just wish it was a little more cost effective.”
“I’ve only just started meeting with a Brightside provider, but so far I am very pleased with the care I am receiving. I did a health check in last night and this morning I had a message that my provider wanted to meet with me based on my responses. I was able to easily schedule an appointment for tomorrow. I like how I didn’t have to wait to get into a new medical facility without waiting as can often happen. The online appointments are perfect for my busy schedule and my provider really seems to care.”
“I signed up for Brightside about a year and a half ago. My provider was habitually late to our appointments, did not remember me, and rushed me off calls. I switched to the medication-only plan as soon as possible because I didn't feel like I was getting any help or support from talking to my provider - I was just another number to her.
When it came time to renew my prescription refills, Brightside, nor my provider, reached out to me. I requested a refund for the two months that I didn't receive a service or a prescription and was denied one of the refund requests, as they said the policy was for me to cancel prior to the end of the billing cycle, however, how was I supposed to have the foresight 18 days before they did not refill my prescription, that they weren't going to so I could cancel?
When I did reach out to them, it took them 13 days to respond to me - after several emails, phone calls, and help tickets. Their providers don't care, customer service is completely lacking, and policies don't make sense. If you're looking for an online mental health company, Brightside isn't it.”
“It doesn't seem the icons above are clickable but I would rate Brightside at 4 Stars.
The service has been very helpful for me and it's good to know that providers can be available for support when needed.
The one drawback I've found is regarding the check-in surveys for treatment. For such a short survey to be able to plot a data point for Depression and Anxiety seems a bit unreliable to me.
Otherwise a great service through and through. Thank you!”
“I have had a fine time with the medication side of Brightside, but the therapist side is actually extremely frustrating. The therapists see so many clients and/or have extremely limited availability. If you want to see a therapist on a weekly basis, forget it. I can't imagine what it would be like if you were feeling particularly overwhelmed and in need of support. What makes matters worse is you get constant texts and emails telling you you need to see your therapist despite there being no appointments available with them.”
“Brightside's platform isn't very good. You have too many missed meetings, don't process admin requests within the time you say you will, and don't offer to help patients with things they legitimately need like FMLA or STD related paperwork. You also don't bill me for 2 months, and then out of nowhere tell me I have $1000 worth of bills that you immediately charged my credit card for without giving me the chance to request monthly payments. I want my money back.”
“After years of medical providers ignore what I told them about my emotions and how they made me feel I found Brightside and finally have been heard and understood. My emotions were validated and diagnosed from the comfort of my home. I can honestly say that my life has been improving everyday since my first appointment.”
“it’s fine for what it is, but as far as “accessible” depression care - $100 is a bit steep for those of us struggling with financial instabilities. i understand that it’s much cheaper than most, and for that i’m appreciative - but $100 could go a long ways to help my family.”
“They were quick in the response time which I really needed having moved from another state without establishing a medical support team .
Great to see a professional so quickly. I am grateful for that!”
“Psychiatric nurse takes an authoritative tone yet displays ignorance, is dismissive of contraindications, and cites her own limited anecdotal patient history as justification to ignore research papers. My father is a psychiatrist. I’ve seen a few in my lifetime. This person is taking a one size fits all approach and is not well informed nor is she a good listener.”
“My online mental health treatment experience has been nothing short of life-changing. The convenience, expertise, and genuine care I have received have given me the tools and confidence to navigate life's challenges with resilience and grace. I am immensely grateful for the support I've found here, and I wholeheartedly recommend online mental health treatment to anyone seeking a compassionate, effective, and empowering path to mental wellness.”
