“I like the platform and convenience Brightside provides. It’s been really helpful for my spouse so I jumped at the opportunity to join.
I had limits options choosing my therapist and psychiatrist but was able to choose from the given list. I met with a therapist and had a good experience but didn’t feel the connection I would need to feel comfortable moving forward.
The app does not have options to change therapist in app. You have to email support outside the app. The support was responsive and kind. I think it would improve customer experience to be able to handle this in the app.

“I was relieved to find a good psychiatrist, the check ins are admittedly encouraging even though eating the depression on a number line is a little funny. Overall good experience. It would be nice if I could find more payment options because I’ve been making frequent appointments to try new medication, and it’s more expensive because of that.”

My therapist was a great help, but for someone like me, i wouldn't recommend a primarily CBT focused approach. Also brightside's survey method did not capture the recent acute nature of my experience.”

“I cannot book a live session with a therapist. The site just reloads my dashboard. So, I have not seen a therapist at all since I started Brightside. Session with the psychiatrist was booked easily, and I have seen an improvement at least.”

I love my provider - I'm currently in the Medication Maintenance Plan - and I just signed up with a therapist as well. The only issue I have is that it takes a long time for Support to reply to emails. I think that you need to hire more Support people. I noticed that other clients also spoke about this in their reviews. Especially on a platform such as this - for therapy and medication - people are not feeling well. Perhaps they have just been released from the hospital - as was my case before I signed up for therapy - and they are anxious and depressed. It's not a good time to have to wait so long for replies from Support.
Also, the website is not very intuitive. AI has progressed so much over the past 10 years and the website does not offer a lot of info. ie. I tried adding therapy to my plan on the site - when I went in to pay - my Med. Maintenance Plan was shown as costing $95/month. I actually pay $45/month. The system should know that this is the amount I pay and should be updated with the correct amount.
Overall, I do like the site and my current provider is very knowledgable about medications and she is very understanding and seems to care about my progress. You guys just need some tweaks here and there in order to receive the "very good" rating!”
