“Always friendly helpful and knowledgable staff. I came in and bought a used Canon 300mm f2.8 . I'd checked all over the Internet but it was Calumet who had the best deal. Plus the 10% off was a sweetner too. Highly recommended retailer. Not like those old grumpy guys at Fixation.”

“The large FlashBender easily attaches to the flash gun with a Velcro strap, however, the press stud at the other end of the strap becomes detached too readily. It can be bent into any shape, even a tube, but although the results are softer than the bare flash head, it is not as soft as some YouTube videos would lead one to believe. Used outdoors, it is less susceptible to a breeze than an umbrella.”

“Recently purchased a Nikon macro lens from Calumet and the service and advice I was given by John was first class. Before purchasing he suggested I try out a macro lens in the shop and I found that very helpful. He also gave me tips on editing my pictures etc which again was most helpful. I would recommend Calumet in Leith Edinburgh to any enthusiastic amateur like myself as the staff are very helpful and pleasant and also very knowledgeable on matters photographic.”

“I went into the Drummond Street store looking for "small, double-ended clamps, like two bulldog clips joined by a short length of stiff wire." I'd seen them in someone else's studio but didn't know who made them or their proper name. The assistant didn't immediately know what I meant but he went to some trouble to figure it out before returning from the stock room with a Bowens Multiclip. Last one in stock. Shame they're so expensive but they are so very useful.”

“More than price, I look for a company I can trust to sort out any problems with the equipment that may occur. Calumet is prepared to do just that. Secondly, they are competitive on price and the offer of free delivery prompted me to buy lens at this time.”

“I recently purchased a CK7800 tripod and a "Large" sized tripod bag from the online Calumet store. Unfortunately the "Large" sized tripod bag wasn't large enough to host the actual tripod itself and naturally I was disappointed with this. However, after getting in touch with the very helpful guys and girls at Calumet, I was delighted to hear that they would be replacing and upgrading my "Large" tripod bag to an "Extra Large" size absolutely immediately and free of charge ! In my experience of online shopping, no other company, photography based or not, has been able to give this level of customer satisfaction in regards to a product/order issue. Both in terms of communication and resolution, I would suggest that Calumet customer service is outstanding and as a result of this experience I will be a longstanding and returning customer. Other online retailers take note. Thanks again.”

“I ordered a tripod bag and it arrived within 3 days of getting it and when I received it, wasn't damaged in any way and I am very please with my purchase and would be happy to order something on-line from Calumet again if I am looking for something camera related.”

“I visited two shops, online and over the phone, and rental and sales (in store). In all cases I was struck by a distinctly unhelpful undertone that some would construe as 'attitude'. I could see the staff were busy, for sure, and their professional knowledge was evident, however, both I and them, found the sourcing and buying process littered with cul-de-sacs and deeply frustrating. I got the sense they were not prepared to 'go the extra mile' for the company, let alone me.”

“Help in store was excellent. I bought a second hand camera which so far I am happy with, although I was a little disappointed to discover this was a French version, with French handbook and charger. I feel this should have been mentioned prior to purchase.”

“Everything was very clear and concise. You can get items cheaper on some website but grey imports coming from anywhere in the world concerned me. Guarantees and warranties would be a worry so I looked at a company who specialises in Photography. Got a great deal & delivered within 2 days. Great service!”
