“Great store with friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic staff. I've attended a couple of the training events too and they were very worthwhile. The store is well laid out and full of stuff Currys etc. would never stock. I would like a little more breadth in the range, but I realise in a store that size there's no way to carry the range of stock available on line. Overall I really like Calumet, and appreciate the patient, friendly way the staff deal with customers.”

“I phoned store to confirm item in stock, assistant was very helpful and agreed to reserve item for me to collect that day. I called at store to collect item and the assistant was most helpful friendly and knowledgeable so I would definitely recommend Calumet to anyone.”

“Calumet Bristol is a vibrant photographic store catering for all photographers at all levels, they are unstintingly helpful allowing you to browse or inspect products at your own time or helping when you ready for help, this is a rare treat in todays "get the money in the till" attitude of so many stores. Staff are very knowledgeable or if required will get the information from the manufacturer so that every customer feels he/she is getting the personal service Calumet are so good at providing. Prices are competitive with other retail outlets and all in all they provide an excellent purchasing experience.”

“Staff at Calumet Belfast Store are very helpful well up on the specifications of the different equipment and a great attitude making you feel like they care what you purchase. Would take a lot to make me pass them up on future purchases.”

“Unfortunately not a great experience. The items I bought had to be back-ordered, which was fine, but each time I called for an update and was promised a call back, no-one phoned. Every time. Also, making your customers pay at the time of ordering, rather than when items are dispatched or collected, puts you out of line with the best of your competitors. Could have been so good, but in the end, quite some room for improvement.”

“Some time in Early December I ordered 2 lots of Kodak D-76 Developer powder 3.8 litre size, possibly on special offer with free delivery. I was contacted by telephone some time after this and told that delivery would be delayed because of the collapse of CityLink courriers and time would be needed to find another courrier. I was given the option of cancelling the order but decided to keep it active. On 21/01/15 I received one package of D-76 developer, not 2 as I'd originally ordered and was charged £5.83 for hazardous product delivery. Even if the standard delivery charge applied, quoted as £4.99 on the Calumet website at present, I've still been charged too much and have received only half the goods I ordered in the first place.This has made ordering the item most uneconomical and I'm therefore requesting a refund for the carriage charge.”

“I have phoned both the Edinburgh and Glasgow branches and I have to say, - they could not be more helpful. I have made a few purchases now and will continue to return every time I need equipment and good help and advice. Excellent!”

“I used the Glasgow store on few occasions after a recommendation by a friend , staff have been happy to take my money and give advice. I went in today to return a faulty trigger and buy a secondhand D700 and had a very poor experience . The staff member was condescending from the point he released it was a return and not a sale. I had told him the exact problem being the off and on switch did not work and the trigger would on occasion keep the shutter open till disconnected . His answer was they had a memo from the manufacturer the off and on switches don't work and you need to take the batteries out. The real high point was he only wanted to replace one trigger from a set despite me telling him the fault had cost me work after an exchange of words he replaced the faulty items. Needless to say I've ordered my camera else's where .”

“recently purchased items in the January sale - had to write to Calumet as they hadn't applied the "30% off all Calumet branded products" discount to an item I had purchased. I only noticed the discount hadn't been applied by chance... I emailed them and they responded promptly and refunded the missing discount. One of the items I ordered was apparently in stock but hasn't yet arrived - I'll have to call them up and track this.. I will be shopping at Calumet in the future.”

“I delt with George at Calumet Manchester as usual he was great putting to one side my desired item a Fuji X100t grip .He answered all my questions straight away and showed knowledge and enthusiasm for the products he was selling this is the reason i travel fifty miles to use them ,service that's hard to find these days on the highstreet!”

“From the start of my photography career, I have turned to Calumet for all my needs. From my first camera and lens to setting up my studio kit, Calumet we're always helpful and offered great advice. Their customer service and commitment to their customers have always more than impressed me. As with any retail chain, they are expected to have complaints. I can't speak for everyone, but in my personal experience Calumet have always been happy to go beyond to provide great service and outcome. Calumet is and will be my first stop for all my photography needs.”
