“Product knowledge and helpfulness of staff is excellent Prices are a little high, for the big stuff it's worth the 100 mile round trip to give me the comfort factor of buying quality with guarantees and seeing the product, for smaller stuff , too expensive to justify trip / web purchases with on line competition”

“I visited your Wardour Street branch, just off Oxford Street. It is a small branch that allows for a close up, more personal approach. I have bought a monopod, flash modifiers, and film from this branch. Their service has always been good.”

“Interestingly, I've always had fairly poor service at Drummond Street - so much so that I would either buy online or go to the Soho store, which I have always found to be faster and more friendly. Somehow, the sales team at Drummond Street never really felt like they cared - I've been kept waiting for ages even when it's not been busy, and there's always an element of feeling like I'm being talked down to. I even left the store on one occasion in frustration - a shame, as I've actually spent well over about 10k with Calumet over the years. Anyway... On this occasion, I was served by a young guy (whose name, unfortunately, I didn't get). He helped me choose a Manfrotto tripod and head - taking a long time to demo it, explain its features and give lots of personal advice. It was a really welcome change to find someone friendly, not patronising, who actually took the time to help me. Given I spent over £600, it was the sort of service I appreciated.”

“Excellent service by knowledgable staff, but add an extra 30mins plus to your 'shop' as this is how long you have to wait in the queue to be served. - even on mid week mornings. Every time without fail!”

“1. The new queuing system in your Drummond Street store is a great improvement. I used to stand for what seemed ages while the staff talked among themselves or just wandered around. Now they know that someone is waiting and seemed to have been trained to respond accordingly. 2. I came in to purchase a Genesis Powerblock battery pack to replace my deceased Quantum Turbo and was recommended a Powerpoint Duo 1000. Very good unit, works well with my SB800 but sadly it does not support my aged Nikon SB25 unit. 3. Excellent post-sales support when I raised this problem and brought the unit into the shop. For the record, the new Quantum units do still support the SB25, but neither Genesis product does.”

“I called mid afternoon, product wasn't in stock at our local branch as I would have gone and picked it up as we needed it quickly, but the telesales guy (Paul J) was really good and very helpful and got what we needed sent to us overnight. we had it by lunchtime next day and we are in Scotland.”

“A good place to stop if you need something.. The car park is a massive bonus. But the service is too slow i find. And some of the older staff after all these years are still too moody for my liking. I have good money to spend but they couldnt care less. I have complained about this before. they are in no rush to help even when the store is empty.”

“The point of having a camera shop is to go in and try new tech. Everything you go into the Belfast shop there is hardly any tech that suppliers have put on the shop floor to try out. I was considering buying the new Sony A7s, but even at the Calumet open day there was no Sony gear to try. Poor”

“I have been buying from Calumet for some time, both online & in their London store. I always find their service to be very good. They stock a good range, and cater for everyone from those starting out in photography, to full time professionals. On a negative point, they do need to watch the price they charge for SOME of their equipment though, as I have found some items to be very uncompetitively priced at times. They do however normally match those charged by competitors to be fair, although this puts the onus on the customer to do their homework before buying, rather than instilling confidence that they will alway receive a highly competitive Deal. Calumet will continue to be a main supplier of my needs, but for this reason, not my sole supplier.”

“I had my sensor cleaned while I waited, it took all of 5 mins, apparently a partial sensor was completed (no idea why). I wasn't charged full price but it was still a bit expensive. Thanks”

“3 items ordered 2 arrived very quickly the 3rd one was out of stock and that arrived a week later no complaints really just a gripe that on the first delivery note there was no indication why the third product had not been delivered. I had to check with calumet but overall good service.”
