“You can't tell the quality of the customer service until something goes wrong. Calumet cocked-up my order by sending me something different from what I ordered. We all make mistakes, but the effort made by the chap in the Manchester store to put it right was above and beyond and most appreciated. A replacement lens was sent for pre-9am delivery the following morning was sorted and delivered as promised. Over the years we have spent 10s of £1000s with Calumet. Long may it continue.”

“I was served initially by a very rude man with white hair and glasses, not Alex, who is doing nothing for your business. When I suggested his customer service skills were not up to scratch and I'd like to be served by someone else, he shrugged and said whatever!”

“I buy all my gear at Calumet - they won't be the cheapest but the guys know there stuff and the aftersales service is brilliant. You get what you pay for. I pre-ordered a new Canon L series lens and it arrived with me the day after global shipping started. Cannot fault.”

“The service I received was excellent. I ordered an item from the website which was delivered very promptly. It turned out that I had ordered the incorrect part number and after visiting the Hagley rd branch in Birmingham they exchanged it without any fuss what so ever. Would definitely recommend that people use Calumet Thankyou”

“I paid for the item instore and was told that delivery would be within a week. If the item didn't arrive I was to contact calumet. A week later nothing arrived, so I called. I was told that the item hadn't been dispatched and that I would have it next day. Two days later still nothing, so called back. I was told again that hadn't been dispatched. I was then told expect within 5 days. To my surprise it arrive within two. However at this time of year there were supposed to be two free gifts, these were not included.”

“Not impressed so far. The equipment I bought had to be returned as I was advised incorrectly over the phone by your staff as to which piece of kit was suitable for my camera. The piece has been returned and your returns form completed online but I've still yet to receive the correct replacement item.”

“Well priced boom arm for general lightweight day to day use. The arm requires assembly, which is not too taxing. Using an allen key (included), it is only a matter of minutes to fix the three sections together. The arm is then clamped to a stand with a universal swivel joint which fits the common industry sizes. The three sections allow a degree of flexibility, by using only two of the sections you can use it in confined areas - useful for product photography. The counterbalance weight allows for a light strobe and small softbox, any more than this and you will need to add an additional sandbag. In fairness you are then outside the recommended load. Ensure that the flat on the spigot is aligned with the screw lock on the strobe head to prevent rotation during use. Once finished with it can be broken down for storage or transport in a four foot bag.”

“The "over the phone Assistant", was good, and I am still waiting for the outstanding piece of equipment. What dismays me is that a basic piece of equipment ( K2 Yellow Filter for Black and White photography), was not available off the shelf, and tha's what I am waiting for. Someone will justify this by saying " Oh it's old film technology", but I also shoot digital images and still use a film camera as well. It doesn't seem too much to hope for an off the shelf supply of basic range filters.”

“It was a good experience going into your store in Birmingham. The lady (South African) I dealt with was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The arrangements made to supply the goods I ordered was smooth and simple and everything arrived on time as promised.”
