“I've been a Calumet customer for a number of years buying everything from cameras and lenses to paper and consumables to my latest purchase, a calumet branded monopod, CK7108 and tilt head. Service was as usual, prompt and received the 'pod within 48 hours of ordering. It was well packaged and delivery tracked. Delivery was free as I had spent over £50 but at the price of the 'pod I'd have happily paid delivery too. The monopod is great quality and solid and I can't see any difference between this one and the Manfrotto alternative and for less money. I'll continue to buy with confidence from Calumet.”

“Hello At the start of last week, I was interested in switching in my long standing much loved DSLR equipment for a more compact and portable Fuji X-T10, but no more than just playing with the idea. Thankfully someone in Calumet gave me the information that made me change my mind. I even brought my DSLR hardware in to the store and received what I think was a very fair part exchange price. I will be back to Calumet as I found the helpful advice was friendly, refreshingly informal and light hearted and I didn't feel that my questions around the equipment was a nuisance to the person behind the counter. It really was my intention to call the store on Drummond Street to ask for the name of the person who served me, so that in writing this review appropriate thanks could be giving to the correct person, but after 20 minutes on hold listening to a message telling me to hold, the line dropped ! I wish that your lines were as reliable as the human beings working in the stores. Overall a really positive experience. I am, delighted in my new camera and lens, I believe that I made the right choice, which was made less difficult by professional advice. Thanks”

“The product that I ordered was great but I was not too happy with the customer service. The complaint I have is that I didn't get any email notifications on progress of the order. This is something that other companies I have ordered from have provided and is very helpful when you're running a business as it means that I don't have to keep logging in and checking my online account to see the order progress. This would have been very helpful as my order of 2 items arrived in 2 parts over separate days. I had no notification that this would be happening and was disappointed as it meant that I could not use the equipment that I had needed quite urgently as a replacement. I had to contact Calumet staff to find out that the order was being shipped in 2 parts from 2 different stores. If this had been emailed to me then I wouldn't have had to waste a considerable amount of time contacting staff to find out why I had only received 1 part of the order. They then gave me a tracking number then but this would have been more helpful if I had got it in the 1st place rather than having to ask for it.”

“This was my first purchase from Calumet, I am very impressed with the way the sale went, I was contact very quickly with a tracking number, there was a slight delay in delivery as the lens came from their Scotland branch and it was a Bank Holiday in England, I had an update and the lens arrived the next day. The deal clincher for me was the extra £50 off the price as part of a bank holiday offer, I'd definitely recommend this company and I will use them again, could you discount the Fujinon 50-140 lens next ?”

“RX100M3 ordered whilst not in stock using Calumet's great bank holiday discount. Expected to wait 5-10 working days but delighted to receive it within 3 days. Superb customer service with several email enquiries about my order replied to within literally minutes, even out of office hours. Item well packaged and free 24 hr delivery. Cannot recommend highly enough”

“After a huge amount of research, I decided to go for the Canon 100-400 mk ii. I could have bought it cheaper on the internet, but decided to stick with Calumet, because they are an approved Canon dealer and I could go in to my local store and pick it up. They also price matched another main Canon dealer, so the final price was not really a lot more expensive than the on-line price. I didn't have my camera body, so didn't manage to try the lens in the shop. When I got it home, I got ERR 01 (no communication) I tried it on another body and everything appeared to be OK, so I wasn't 100% sure if it was the lens or my body which was faulty. I called Calumet the following day and the first thing the sales rep said was, 'Don't worry, We will order you a new lens straight away'. True to their word, the lens arrived two days later. I went in to Calumet they checked the faulty lens on their body and same error. Calumet were absolutely fantastic in how they dealt with the problem. If I had bought the lens on-line, I dread to think the problems I would have had returning the lens, waiting for a replacement etc etc.”

“Hello - Having spent over £5,000 with Calumet (very good, knowledgeable and helpful sales staff in the Euston shop) in one go over two weeks ago, I was disappointed that not only the ProFoto gear was not in stock, but nor were most of the Calumet own brand items we paid for. Fortunately, we had a two week plus window to get the items we needed. However, we are still waiting on a number of items (Profoto and Calumet own brand), with no firm date as to when they will turn up. I also asked for all the items to be held for me at the Euston shop for me to pick them up today (7 September) as I was going to be abroad for a week a few days after the order was placed. A number of items turned up by courier - thankfully the day before I left, so I was able to take them. But this is not what I asked for and could have created issues with the delivery (which I had tried to avoid by saying I would pick them up upon my return to the UK). Wexphotographic (with similar pricing) not only show if the items are in stock on their website (all the Profoto gear was), but will ship it for the next day. I could have had all the Profoto gear within 24hrs and easily shopped for the other gear we are still in need of with them. Whilst the staff in the shop were as helpful and obliging as they could be, the Calumet order fulfilment is sadly lacking. If we can not get the items we need in the next few days we will have to cancel the rest of the order for a full refund. Sadly - It does not make it difficult who to choose on the next order. Calumet have blown the prospect of repeat business.”
