“My web order was for unknown reasons rejected by your website which I found very poor. I was then cut off whilst talking to a member of staff trying to sort it out. In the end I placed a telephone order for which the sales staff member was very helpful and understanding. So 5* for your sales team, 2* for the website order. Impossible to rate with the above, I have just given average overall i.e. neither good nor bad.”

“Nice to go to the Calumet store in Belfast as i know i am getting the best advice from people that know photography and that means all the staff. Its a no pressure environment as the customer comes first. On my second visit to the store i was surprised to be recognized as having been there before, good to see a personal touch.”

“All my dealings (purchases and replacements) have been very efficiently and politely dealt with both over the phone and in the Manchester shop. I like the fact that they are prepared to price match with any other UK company and I would very happily recommend Calumet to all.”

“First, I had my concierge call Calumet to see what selection of lights they had in stock. No one picked up the phone, so my friend and I took a short cab ride, as the website posted they were open. When we walked into the store, there were twoclerks, who were assisting customers. I had to wait about ten minutes to get assistance. During that ten minutes, the phone rang, and despite one clerk standing near the phone and not directly engaged with a customer, simply let the phone ring. We laughed and realized that this was their standard protocol. When I jokingly mentioned it to the clerk, he acted as if he did not hear me. Somewhat of an overpriced, and below average service, but I got what I needed, so I will not rate them "poor", which is truly what they deserve.”

“Used to be a great business, wide range of stock, rapid delivery, good prices. Then came changes to the on-line login which never really worked for me - unable to pay on line. At the same time the website was 'updated' and has become almost un-useable. In particular the search function does not work and it is no longer possible to search for your requirements on the site. Calumet still has a good range of products at a good price but now, if I want to purchase from them I must do so on the 'phone. Even this has slowed down as I get the impression that the on-line services do not work for the staff and they often take an inordinate time to find items, prices etc. Needless to say I am now looking elsewhere more and more and suspect that unless the on-line site improves dramatically I will find other suppliers and leave Calumet after a considerable time as a customer.”
