“I visit the London showroom. The advice is very good and has improved in recent years. The staff are well informed and helpful, but not over pushy. There can be a wait to see someone, always the way when advice needs to be detailed.”

“I bought my equipment online and I originally put the order in my mrs' name but then deleted the whole order and resigned in and when I re ordered it came back up in my mrs' name and this couldn't be changed. my order came and even though I ordered next day delivery and it was a bank holiday I got my camera as expected but the memory card wasn't available so I had to make 2 journeys for the one order. However I was offered to have the memory card posted but I felt more secure collecting in person from the store. The staff are knowledgeable and professional and I would recommend Calumet.”

“Despite the increase in shopping online, when you need something in a hurry there is no substitute for being able to buy something there and then when you need it from friendly and approachable staff. I've always found products in stock which is a really important advantage.”

“Camera received in very good condition and prompt. However would have scored top marks if a body cap had been included to prevent dust entering main body. Also no desiccant included which I have fpund most other suppliers include to soak up any moisture during transit.”

“Over all good service, there was a mix up and I was sent a Nikon fit lens rather that the Canon one I ordered but it was resolved pretty quickly, the incorrect lens was picked up and the correct one arrived the day after”

“My order online for a Nikon lens was for pre 9am delivery and the courier let us down. Calumet staff were really helpful trying to tract down the package and resole the issue of getting the lens re-delivered at another time. Very impressed with the committed "personal" service which was delivered. In the world of online purchasing customer service does not always rate very highly in some businesses, but I was pleased too discover that is not the case with Calumet.”

“Staffs are friendly and helpful. They gave me practical advice to me on how to use my new canon 50mm f/1.4 lens. As somebody said, choosing your first prime lens is harder than choosing your first love. You need a little bit of advice”

“The purchasing process was very straight forward, and the product is just as described - perfect. However, I ordered the item with plenty of time to qualify for next day delivery, when I was available to wait in all day to sign for it, but it did not arrive until a couple of days later, when I was no longer available. Thankfully, FedEx have a handy delivery re-schedule tool so I was able to rearrange for a time that I was once again free.”

“Service was pretty poor. I asked a member of staff who was taking my payment on a purchase how much the CF cards where including VAT, he didn't tell me and I asked him twice. He was very preoccupied in looking at some of his colleagues dealing with other customers and failed to say hi or engage in the slightest with me through out. I left feeling a bit miffed to his attitude and basic manners especially after parting with £220 worth of goods. It was the end of the day and it seemed that it had been a hard day and there was lot going on so thats what I put it down too. Thats the first time i've had service like that in any of your stores.”

“Excellent service and help in store, the advice and suggestions I received were very much appreciated. I ordered a set of LEE ND soft grad filters, a filter holder kit, and adaptor ring, and this was all very easy. I had to wait a long time as I understand that my filters were made to order, so I had no problem with the longer waiting time. My only small criticism was in the level of contact with the store whilst I was waiting. I sent a couple of emails to ask how things were progressing after waiting around two weeks, and unfortunately I had nor reply at all. I do understand that things take extra time for more specialist items, but just a quick look through the system and a brief reply would have been sufficient. When I popped into the store after about 4 weeks, a very kind and helpful staff member checked through my order on the system and I could see the stock had left the warehouse, so it was a shame they couldn't have done this for me sooner with a quick email. It was a shame as when you are spending a little more money on something, it is reassuring to know that everything is in hand. Despite this, I have always received great service every time I have visited the Edinburgh store, and I am very happy with this particular purchase. I hope my comments might just be something to think about for other customers in the future. Many thanks for your help!”
