“The bag is great, perfect for what I want it to do (carry one body with a couple of lenses, a flash and a tripod), but the rain cover does seem a bit flimsy and I managed to rip it within a couple of months of getting it whilst hurriedly trying to cover my bag during some rain.”

“I have always found the staff at Calumet to be most helpful and efficient, in the main sometimes certain members of staff inform me that tens are not available when my telephone call informs me that they are. The manager is very helpful and is a credit to the store. sincerely Marc de Henrie”

“Over the years I have spent a lot of money with Calumat and have regarded them as a one stop shop. Until I purchased a simple cokin filter. Becasue of the way the Cokin filters numbers are set up, I managed to order the same filter twice. Reading the delivery note it said the item could not be returned because it was a special order although the filter was a common graduated one. it was not mentioned as a special order on the Calumet website. I re-ordered the filter from another on line retailer, it arrived next day and was cheaper. Will now shop around. Calumet Not a one stop shop !”

“Hi there. Shopping at calumet is great, as the staff are knowledgeable and talk to customers as professionals. On a few occasions, however, I've found the same product elsewhere significantly cheaper (the Sennheiser G3 unit comes to mind immediately), which is quite irritating if I've already bought it! Still, exceptional service, and very pleasant shopping experience.”

“Purchased a product in-store. Knew what I wanted, price was reasonable and I was pleased to be able to deal with someone face-to-face. Took quite a while providing all of my details to the person behind the till which is a bit of a pain.”

“I chose to drive 50 miles to your Birmingham store because I was looking for a professional range of cameras and advice. I found the service very polite and prompt. Nice smiling people. The reason for not giving the full 5 stars is partly because there was no sample of the latest Nikon for me to compare with the D800 that I was able to look at. I was showed it on the web, but I wanted to check sizes, weight and handling. Not being able to do that, I wasn't willing to pay out such a large sum blind. I might have spent that bit extra, but went with the D800 as that is a great camera. I looked at several lenses. Each time the service was smiling. What would have been extra nice would have been a few more suggestions as to what is considered the best in the range currently, what might be best for the use that I was going to put it - I'm a wedding and portrait photographer which I said- and to make sure that I was offered the chance to buy other things that I might have needed/not thought of - spare batteries, tripod, bag etc. I was asked if I wanted anything else; which isn't quite the same. No discount was available at all and nothing was offered by way of a "thank you" for my custom. That would have been a nice touch. The store had nowhere for customers to sit down either. I think that if you had bar stools or seating area so that people were comfortable that you might sell more ...”

“Only one reservation though. Felt like it was the Spanish Inquisition in respect of purchasing a premium item. I will rather go elsewhere when purchasing lenses in the future. Not prepared to be questioned like that again. I had purchased previously and felt the questioning was intrusive. I subsequently spent nearly 70000 pounds elsewhere because of this incident.”

“I like coming to Calumet as I am able to try and feel products before I buy them and like dealing with knowledgeable people. When I bought my previous camera(5d mk2) i was very impressed. My last visit when consifering the fuji x pro 1 left me feeling otherwise. I felt the person wasn't really interested which was disappointing since i was considering a completely different system. I left disappointed but did buy from yourselves online but after doing my own research. I believe in supporting retail businesses however i think it's important that customers are helped by interested and knowledgeable people else we may as well buy online from the cheapest retailer and not one i have always considered professional”
