“Visiting the shop in Birmingham is much better than any other way of buying. I can't really complain about the service - it wasn't outstanding but it was OK.”

“The Milton Keynes pick-up point is very convenient for me but the invoicing and payment system is archaic and takes an age. Staff are very friendly and helpful but the counter needs to be more retail oriented.”

“The item I purchased was'nt in stock when I placed my order, However it was keenly priced against other suppliers. I received a phone call when the item arrived in store and duly collected it. I'm very plesed with it. Overall happy with the service”

“Service was good. My only negative was the box that the camera bag was packed in was far too small hence it was bulging at the top and it was very hard to open the box without damaging the bag.”

“The staff were very knowledgeable about Nikon products. Being able to see the stuff in the flesh rather than just pictures online makes a big difference. I was impressed by the range of stock at the Manchester branch, even the professional equipment that is normally only available to special order.”

“Service usually depends on who you deal with. My preference is to deal with John Willis who identifies what I want, provides sound, reliable and professional help and advice and does not try to sell things to that I do not need or want.”

“I have always been impressed by the product knowledge of branch staff. In my recent customer experience I found that no attempt was made to sell me more than I needed. I would also like to see the Glasgow branch transfer to larger premises so that product lines had more floor space. A wish for the future is that major camera manufacturers demonstate more of their products and hold workshops in store.”

“Very experienced and helpful staff , the only problem I had was the camera I wanted was in the soho branch and I was in the Euston branch , I asked if the camera could be couriered over but they said this was not possible as the mark up was too low despite the fact that I was spending £2600 , but the Euston branch still wanted me to make payment there and find my own way to the soho branch , thought it was a bit unfair .”

“Very good telephone service, advice and order fulfillment. Only downside is despite asking parcel bear no company name/logo (purchase was a gift and recipient fully aware of Calumets product range) not only did the parcel arrive with emblazoned logo but I then received not 1 but 2 copy invoices complete with emblazoned company logo which gift recipient picked up. Consequence was birthday surprise spoiled:(”

“Good, friendly, open and honest sales advice. I would buy all my gear at Calumet if the bodies and lenses were competitive but alas they are not. Not expensive, but not ahead of the bunch at all. Such a shame. Still a great shop though and the sensor cleaning service is highly recommended!”
