“I was not pleased with the service at the Birmingham Office , especially from the Manageress. But the rest of the Birmingham Staff was excellent. I approached London Office and it was an excellent Service. Overall good.”

“Helpful staff that are knowledgeable about the industry, backed up by a good range of in store products to take away on the day. And generally if they don't have it in store they are able to order it for you to pick up, with a really quick turn around. Difficult to find fault. Would recommend them to professionals and none professionals alike.”

“Helpful staff and usually have what i need in stock. The website is a little clunky to use, it could do with a few more filters to select items. For example with film putting in categories for 35mm or 120, slide or negative, BW or colour. The same could be applied to other equipment. There a good range of stores and easy for me to get to.”

“Ordered a light stand and Calumet Umbrella Adapter with Hot Shoe . Placed the order on Sunday and they were with me by Tuesday morning. Both products are Calumets own brands, well made and fit for the job. I'd certainly have no hesitation in using Calumet again in the future.”

“Overall the visit to the store went smoothly, although I was quite disappointed to fins out that your Glasgow store doesn't offer studio services on Saturdays. For a student it's really hard to find a whole team of creatives to work days other than weekends, so to find that out after buying the student pack I was shocked and disappointed.”

“On my most recent purchase - I responded to a flash sale of a Heavy Duty Background Support System. Great - I managed to get the Heavy Duty one for near the same price as a standard one. However, whoever thought the flash sale offer up did not think what else a buyer might need and did not include any accessories. So..... I am still looking for some further cross bars and, the other thing I was considering when I was looking at the standard background system was the option to buy it as a posing set including stool and table.... thus I still need a stool and table..... If an enticement was available at the time I may well have bought all together whereas, now I am looking at all the alternative suppliers and comparing prices.... Oh - and one last thing..... when the set arrived and, of course, I needed to set it up to make sure it all worked....... I did not know from the web site listing whether I had actually received the Heavy Duty or the standard set..... I looked again later and found the Heavy Duty set extended the supports higher so I am relying on memory that indeed it did look that high. I think in actuality you used the same picture for both sets Richard”

“easy to use website, customer service a bit mixed, as tried to sort out finance problem on many occasions without a proper outcome, but eventually got through and spoke to 1 gentleman who actually sorted the problem out and even got my items delivered the next day too. excellent service from some of the team but looks like some need extra training to get them up to standard. all in all a good experience but could have been an excellent experience. Very pleased with items purchased, would definitely shop again.”

“Nice shop. Knowledgeable people. This was my first visit. They had what I wanted. I wish there would have been more camera models to choose from; at least while deciding which to get. It would be better to be able to compare working models side-by-side. Pretty decent prices.”

“I bought a Canon 7D MkII at the Photography Show from the Calumet stand. Unfortunately, when I unboxed it the following day and started to set it up, I discovered a piece of dust/grit in the viewfinder which could not be removed by cleaning or by using a blower on the inside. I contacted Calumet straight away and thankfully, after originally being told to follow the returns procedure, they subsequently arranged for a courier to collect it from me that day, which I was very thankful for. A few days later I contacted Calumet again to try to find out what was happening and was told that the warehouse had received the camera but that it had not yet been looked at. With Easter in the way of things, I left it a full week before contacting Calumet again. After some time on the phone it was established that the camera had been sent back to Canon. I stated that that I had requested a replacement, not a repair for something that had been sold to me with the problem in situ. Thankfully, the customer services person arranged for a next day (morning) delivery of a replacement from their warehouse. I was able to finally relax and breathe a sigh of relief. So, in essence, I found that the lack of any communication between the time the first camera was collected from me and the time I phoned over a week later to be frustrating. I'm glad I did phone again in the end because it was the only way I found out that the camera had been sent back to Canon. Had I not phoned, I might never have got a replacement delivered. This lack of communication in my case is why I give only four stars. On the other hand, I found the Customer Services to be excellent on the phone and able to make decisions that (in my case) definitely put the customer first.”
