My car was totaled in an accident so I had to purchase another car. I wanted to buy the exact same car because I loved my car, Honda Element. After looking at many adds and finding the same car, make, model and year with very different prices. 1 car was $17000, then the same year, model car was $11,000. This made me wonder how it could be so cheap or so expensive. Being a lady on my own with no one to consult I decided to buy 5 package of ?Car Fax? What I found out was amazing to me. The cars that were to good to be true, were! The really cheap cars, that I was drawn to had RE-BULT TITLES. I had no idea what this could be. I kept checking cars on my ?Car Fax? and asking questions. I found that most cars with re-built titles were in very bad accidents that showed on ?Car Fax? Through ?Car Fax, and a few honest people and my insurance Co I found that these cars were purchased at auction from a junk pile and repaired to make a whole car but this car could not be insured with full insurance. Well why would I spend $15,000 on a car that I could not insure. The few people that actually owned a car with a re-built title were desperate to sell, I almost bought 1 myself. THANK YOU ?CAR FAX? I finally purchased a 2011 Nissan from a private party, 1 owner with very low miles. I love my new car, fully insured and paid for in cash. Thank you again ?Car Fax? DO not buy a car without it!!!

My Son and I were looking for a good used car for him on craig's list and I used Carfax to run license numbers and any VINs that the owners provided to get the histories on those cars before we drove to see them. As luck would have it we ended up buying from a dealer who also provided us with carfax before we bought the car. We got the car we sought and hardly drove any distance at all before we purchased. We knew it was a two owner car that had regular service with only minor hail damage, and it had been repaired perfectly to our satisfaction. Carfax paid for itself in gasoline savings.

carfax has saved me from making the wrong decisions I would have made with out carfax information. I find through reports on the vehicles I request and that makes my decision to buy or pass knowing the full information I had received. Carfax is a true value in purchasing any used vehicle.

I totaled out my old car and was looking for a used Subaru Forester. I found one that looked great, was in good condition, and was at my price range. I was still hesitant about buying the vehicle because it was an 01. My girlfriend suggested that I carfax it. Upon looking at the vehicles history I immediately purchased the vehicle. I felt confident that I was buying a vehicle that was well taken care of and wouldn't give me any major problems. Without the vehicles history I may not have bought the Subaru.

I was looking to buy a Subaru Outback and used Carfax to check titles on several. One thought one was great deal, come to find out it was salvage title! My next vehicle I found seemed to be the right car, low miles, ran well. I made an offer pending a good inspection. The inspection came out ok, but noted some oil leaks. I was ready to sign the papers, thinking it was minor. I re-reviewed the Carfax and it had noted which shops the car had been serviced. One appeared to do most of the service. I called them, they remembered the vehicle then told me the motor was bad! Carfax saved me $1000s! Carfax directed me to a local dealer where I finally got a good car in good shape.

I bought a 2000 Silverado pickup that appeared to be nice and clean. I forgot to do my Carfax before buying...bad mistake! It had an odometer rollback and had been severely wrecked. Always do your Carfax! Do it before leaving your house to buy a vehicle so you won't forget.
