“Thanks to CARFAX my son didn't make a huge mistake on buying his first car. He saw his dream car at a local small dealership in our town. It was a Mustang. Car looked pretty good and the price seemed good and was in his budget. A friend of mine told us we needed to use Carfax to check on the car. Once we did we knew to stay away from that car. It had 8 previous owners, had been in 5 accidents with the 5th one totaling out the car. None of this had been mentioned by the car dealer. ( he said as far as he knew it had only been owned by 2 other people and didn't know of any accidents and seemed to be a great sound car).... Well 2 days later my son found what is now his 1st car and he loves it. It is a Mitsubishi Eclipse and the Carfax report came up with everything GREAT on the car. Thank you Carfax for saving my son from losing all his hard earned money he saved up.”

“CarFax was a good investment for me. I needed a car in Florida and the best-looking car I could find of the needed make and model was in Indiana, nearly a thousand miles away. I had some photos of the car, but I needed to know more, so I eschewed the website's proffered history check and went with CarFax. Even though CarFax cost a bit more, it was worth it because it had more records. CarFax shows the car had been well maintained but also that it had a recent minor rear-end collision. Nevertheless, because the photos showed repairs had been completed, we bought the car and had it transported to us. Now that we have the car, have inspected it, and have driven it, we know we made the right choice. It is an excellent car.”

“We were looking at a used car that looked great, but the dealer did tell us that they had no intention of looking over the car as they were going to send it to another dealer. We ran the car fax and found that it had no accidents, one owner, and was recently in for service for new brakes and tires. We bought the car and were able to save over two thousand dollars because we did our due diligence and the dealer did not! Thank you Carfax!”

“I was about to buy this 1998 Nissan Frontier clean title on Craigslist it only had 98k miles which was really low miles for its year. I decided to carfax the car and I am glad I did. It turned out the car had over 200k miles and the car was slavage title. I grateful for carfax because I would have made a $9,000 dollar mistake. Thanks carfax! ! !”

“Well Mr. Fox ! you have proved yourself , as my husband was in the process of purchasing a used vehicle with low miles, thus we checked with your info and the facts were true it REALLY did have low miles on the records. “I would HIGHLY recommend that anyone who looking to buy a used vehicle to sign up for CarFax. It is so easy to use. Once you find a used vehicle that you are interested in, you can run a CarFax report using the vehicle’s VIN#. These reports include valuable data on the vehicle’s history. There were two instances where I spoke to different dealers and they said it was a great deal to purchase their vehicle. Once I got the CarFax reports (which are available within minutes), I found both vehicles were in accidents where the airbags were actually deployed. These are vehicles you want to stay away from. “hi ,I was looking for kia Sedona 2006-2010, the owner of the car told me it has no accident but the car fax shows it had sever damage in the rear end, car fax saved me from parched damaged car.”

“I bought a truck that had been in an accident. I should have been less impulsive and payed more attention to the carfax. The truck has electrical issues because of accident that weren't immediately identified. Car fax tried to warn me.”

“I recently was looking at a 2008 Honda Civic to purchase for my daughter. I ran the VIN # through Carfax and to my surprise it had a shocking history of being stolen in late 2008 and recovered damaged and repaired. Then in 2012 the car was totaled by the insurance company due to a wreck that crushed the car and bent the frame beyond repair. The car ended up in a junk yard where this person bought it at salvage and rebuilt it with the intent to sale at a premium price to an unsuspecting person thinking it had no negative history. All I can say is thank God for Carfax. Without them I probably would have bought the car for my daughter. I will always be a Carfax user with any used car I am looking at.”

“They take your money even when you didn't even use carfax one time...it is not fair and poor business... I will never use them again.. Autocheck.com is a better place to get history on your car”

“My wife and I were all set to but a 2010 Chevrolet Truck. The dealer had advertised the truck as having " low miles". The odometer even showed low miles! We decided to check the car fax on the truck. We were shocked to see the truck actually had over 230k miles on it. We are so glad we decided to check the car fax! Thanks Carfax! Josh B.”

“I traveled to an Auto Mall dealership. They seemed to have the car I wanted, a 2011 mid sized SUV. The test drive was great : the vehicle was cleaning looking, one owner. I asked for a CARFAX Report. They gave me different report which stated the vehicle never had a problem. I said I'll take it if I get a CARFAX Report which confirms. The salesperson told me that there is too much detail it the CARFAX report. I was able to get a CARFAX Report which indicated, in the details, that the vehicle had 5 major repair trips to a dealership in 2012. I ended up buying an SUV from a dealership that gave me an up to date CARFAX Report as part of the sales process.”

“I was negotiating with a private party in Florida who said they had the car and would ship it to me in California once i put the payment in escrow. i ran carfax and found that the vehicle in question was sitting on a dealer's lot in Texas. i called the dealer and he said he was looking right at it. i'm sure i am not the first person they have tried to defraud in this manner!”
