Car Fax was a tool I used to buy my 2007 Saab. Very helpful in checking the main facts of the car - miles ,history, service , title etc. Based on this info I selected my car among many. Very happy with my mint used Saab. Thank you Car Fax!

I was in the market for a ford f150 4x4, I was driving to work one day and saw the person putting a for sale sign on a 2005 model, I made a u turn and stopped to talk to him. I thought the price and mileage were to good to be true. I purchased a carfax 5 package and after getting the results I bought the truck 1 hour later

I am a courier and drive over 100,000 miles a year in my own vehicle. Needless to say I need something reliable. I had bought a 2005 Hyundai Tucson in June of 2011, I used Carfax to find this vehicle. I loved this car, had the timing belt replaced at 100,000, and knew when I hit 225,000, it needed to be done again. Unfortunately I waited a little too long to have it done and of course it broke, bending all 24 valves inside my engine. After spending $1500 in parts, $1500 in labor and $1100 on a rental car while the work was being done, I finally got it back! I had it exactly 6 days when I was in an accident and they totalled my car. I wanted to cry to say the least. Anyway I knew I wanted another Tucson, so I started my search. I bought the 5 car carfax deal, and when I had it narrowed down to ones with the options I wanted and in my price range I started running carfaxes. All the vehicles that I was interested in all had between 60,000 - 90,000 miles. After what I had just been thru with the last car I knew that the timing belt was gonna need to be replaced as soon as I bought one, because chances were, the last owner didnt do it and then get rid of the car. Of the 5 vehicles I had narrowed it down to, 1 stood out among the rest. The CarFax contained information on every oil change the vehicle had over the last 6 years, more or less every 3000-4000 miles, not only that but this one had even had the timing belt replaced at 75,000!!! I knew this was my car! I bought it a few days later and I LOVE it even more than I did my first Tucson. If Carfax hadnt listed all the detailed information that they did, I may have never even looked twice at this car. Thank you CarFax!

I was in the market to purchase a 2011 Chevy Camaro. I was really set to buy one that looked like a great deal, but the Carfax showed me it was involved in a front-end collision with airbag deployment. I just happened to save the VIN from my searches and 2 months later re-ran it for fun. Turn's out the vehicle was purchased and put in the shop for major repairs a month later. Sooooooo glad I checked the Carfax.

I was looking for Toyota Truck for my son-in-law and signed up for five Carfax reports, it was extremely helpful uncovering issues with vehicles that the owners were unwilling to disclose on their own. After three vehicles and with the in-depth knowledge that the Carfax report provided, we were successful in negotiating a much better price and purchased a Toyota Tacoma truck. I would never buy another car without this service. It was easy, accurate and very helpful. Thank you for a great product and service.

I was looking for a f-150 truck and found one at landmark ford with the engine and transmission that I wanted. The truck was in excellent shape and had no damage on the car fax report so that made me go ahead with the purchase of this vehicle.

My husband and I were seeking a replacement vehicle for our beloved Chrysler Pacifica that had just been totaled. We fell in love with a low mileage Lincoln Towncar with loads of bells and whistles, without a scratch nor dent, drove wonderfully, with only a bit of stiffness in opening and closing the passenger side door. However, out of habit, we ordered a CARFAX Report Package. Thank God we did, as our Lovely Lincoln turned out to be the best rebuilt wreck imaginable. It was reported as having had 3 accidents, and declared ?totaled? after the last one! The next car we were impressed with was a low mileage Chrysler Pacifica Touring, with even more bells and whistles, and a perfect CarFax Report; so we ended up with a better model Pacifica than the one we had before our accident! We are thrilled, and very grateful for CarFax!

My Young Family and I recently migrated here from Fiji, and were in desperate need of a vehicle to get about, the temptation of just buying the first vehicle I saw was immense, such was our desperation. My Brother suggested getting a month subscription with Car Fax, and man did it pay off, of my 10 shortlisted vehicles, 6 were immediately scratched off our list (including what looked like a dream buy 06 Honda Civic) after viewing the vehicle?s history, and that left 4, after test driving the vehicle?s, I settled for a 2002 Toyota Camry, that runs smoothly. Thanks to Car Fax, we made the most informed choice.

We were recently looking for a car for my wife. Wow was I glad we had the Carfax! Three of the cars we test drove ended up being re-built titles. In one, the owner claimed there was only 87k on the car...turns out there was 187,000 on it. Yikes! We eventually narrowed our search to two cars, both with clean Carfax reports. Thank you!

I was looking for a car for my son, a BMW 300 series or 500 series. Thanks to CarFax, it showed me so many salvage cars on the market and led me to a one owner 328 model that was cared for. Thank you CarFax.

After searching quite a while for cars in my "affordable zone," I finally started finding vehicles, mostly in Albuquerque. Since that is about a 2-hour drive from our home, I could not waste time looking at cars that were hopeless, so I invested in the five-Carfax package. The very first vehicle I checked, a nice-enough-looking Ford Ranger, turned out to have been a shop vehicle for a car dealer after starting life as a rental, and it had been through two accidents and six owners. I passed, even though the owner offered me a price $1,000 less than the original asking price. Two more Carfax reports turned up questionable histories on cars I was looking at, and then my fourth report came up clean and recommended a price above Kelley Blue Book's. The Carfax report's last reported mileage was off by 100% (this car had 132k instead of the 65k Carfax reported, and that probably accounted for the price recommendation), but the vehicle had been driven the last several years by a student attending a local college, and its interior had a harder life than its mechanicals. After looking at and test-driving the 2002 Hyundai Elantra, I purchased it for $250 below the asking price. It needed tires and a new axle and tie rods up front, but it had been mechanically kept up pretty well, and it wasn't leaking any fluids except around the torn axle boot. In the month since I've had the car, I haven't had any problems except for a squeaking and probably in need of replacement serpentine belt. The new tires cleared up the vibration I experienced at highway speeds, and the new axle and boot restored steering to its normally quiet and smooth operation. The 5-speed transmission and the radiator had both been replaced, so the car is in many ways ready for the long haul. The lack of serious accidents and the no-lemon guarantee, plus the buy-back warranty from Carfax, gave me some welcome peace of mind when buying this car. Thanks!

I have always wanted a convertible, it is my dream car, well finally at the age of 47 I found a beautiful E320 Cabriolet with is going to ne a collectors item by the way. To my surprise the seller was asking way below book. Well you know the old saying if it is to good to be true then it isn't true, well I ran a Carfax to my wonderful surprise and my husband was totally shocked, cause he is one if those skeptics. Well I ran the Carfax and it came back with the most awesome news about the car and gave us a money back guarantee if it was a lemon then they would refund the amount we paid. So after the Carfax was ran we went to take this beauty for a drive and bought it on the spot!!! Thank you Carfax for the wonderful information that you provide and for helping by my Dream Car, and for making the old saying not true!!!

We were looking to replace my Jeep Grand Cherokee with another SUV. I was looking for a Ford Escape AWD. The last two cars we have purchased I went to Carfax prior to my search. I will never buy a used vehicle with running Carfax first. I went to one dealer that had what I was looking for spoke with a Salesman told him what I wanted and he assured me the Escape was what I wanted. It was raining and I told him I would be back the next day unknowing to him I got the VIN. Went home ran the VIN through Carfax and found the Salesman was not being truthful needless to say I never went back. On the Carfax website a Ford Escape came up described exactly as I was looking for. We went to the dealer test drove the 2011 Ford Escape and it is now parked in our driveway.

I always rely on your reports before buying a used car. Your reports are always perfect and right on . I supposed you do not know the DEALER SELLING the car. This dealer in CT. is a crook, sold me 2004 Lincoln Town Car, would not give me my money My wife found 50+ repairs on this dealer on line all bad. He would not take my insurance companies INSURANCE BINDER, clearly showing I was insured and had vin # on en used car I was buying. I was simply transferring insurance from by other car that car been totaled in snow storm. The insurance covers 2 cars I own and paid entire year in advance. They made me buy Progressive insurance just to drive car from CT back you NH. I even had my plate with me. SEE email reference # 00610696. This is in no way your fault nor do I blame you and will always will use you. It's too bad no one ever told you the "air Ride was removed. Error message came on 5 miles down road and I turned around said fix it and call me. They kept it for a week, then told it had been air suspensions had been removed. Also in way home dashboard Instrument cluster went black. It's going to cost $665.00 to buy + labor., Cruise control does not work. Got a flat tire in 50 miles. and many more. Maybe you could provide info line that we could write who car dealer is, and get info that they are good to bad! Richard Pupi bosen@msn.com

I was very satisfied with the Carfax service. I am new in the US and i wanted to get a used car and if it wasn't for carfax service, I would have ended up buying a car with a bad history. I would recommend used car buyers to use the service of carfax so that you are well aware of the history and to gain insight of how the car has been used or maintained.

I called about a car for sale by owner about 2 hours from where I live. It was a fairly low price for a car that appeared to be in great shape. I had a few telephone conversations with the owner and I was about to drive out and make an offer. I called one last time and requested the VIN# so I could run it through car fax. That's when he decided to mention the car had been in a flood once. I didn't even have to run the report. Saved me a long drive and quite possibly from purchasing a huge lemon. Thanks.

I found a car online. The seller (private party) was claiming to be original owner and that mileage was under 100K, and there was no accidents. I quickly carfaxed the car, and found the last reported mileage was 261K, the car was originally a rental vehicle then had thres owners, Also there were two reported accidents, and title actually was salvage! I think carfax really saved me from buying a junk.
