“We were looking for a used first car for our daughter. We found a great looking, reportedly clean and clear Toyota Corolla from a private party that we were ready to purchase. We decided to record the VIN and run a CarFax: The car had been in an accident requiring towing and major repairs! You saved us from many possible future problems. Thank you CarFax!”

“I had been using public transportation for the past 3 years in order to save enough to buy a vehicle. I originally had my mind set on a used PT Cruiser. The owner seemed nice enough and the vehicle looked and seemed to run good. I decided to splurge and get the CARFAX for the vehicle and was able to determine that in a period of 5 years there had been 6 separate owners, none of them keeping the car longer than a year; and the vehicle was originally a rental vehicle. That made my decision easy and I decided not to but the car. I finally found a KIA Amanti in the right price range and again bought the CARFAX. The couple selling the car were the original owners and they had maintained the car regularly and kept it in amazing shape! I bought the car last week and am in love with it! And I have the confidence of CARFAX report and the CARFAX Guarantee on my side!! Thank you for "steering me" in the right direction to my new car!”

“My daughter had her first job, had saved her money, and was ready to buy her first car. As her dad I wanted to be sure that she spent her money wisely, so I signed up for one month of CARFAX. It was a HUGE help! Kate decided she wanted a compact SUV, and we found a Jeep Liberty that she liked. We checked the CARFAX and found out that it had been taken to a repair shop twice in the last three months to have the front suspension looked at, but that no repairs were done. A few days later we heard that it needed major repair work. Thank you CARFAX! So Kate kept looking and I kept running CARFAX reports. All we needed was the license plate number, and almost every car ad shows either the front or the back bumper well enough to read the plate. Then we found two different Honda CR-V's on two different used car lots. They were the same year, had almost exactly the same mileage, and about the same price. They were essentially identical. We ran a CARFAX on both cars. One report showed regular service at a dealership with all scheduled maintenance performed on time and no major repairs. The other had almost no information so we didn't know if it had been properly cared for. Guess which car she bought? After this experience we will never buy a used car without a good CARFAX report!”

“I have purchased carfax a couple times already. Every time I looked up a car there was something I found wrong with the vehicle that the current owner did not mention or lied about. I am grateful to be able to use carfax because it has saved me from purchasing the wrong vehicle.”

“Great information I was able to receive from CARFAX. One instance thinking the vehicle had only 150k miles when CARFAX was able to show two years prior the vehicle had a smog check with 199k miles. Another experience thinking I found a 1997 diesel vehicle which would be smog exempt, when it was a 1999 model year vehicle a non-exempt year.”

“My father passed away a few months ago, and all my mother had to buy a used automobile was a small amount of insurance money and the cash she got for his old truck. Total, about $10,000. She had never purchased a car before. Dad was the car guy in the family. So when she asked me to help find and determine a good buy, I knew I?d be looking at a lot of cars, so I immediately purchased the unlimited CARFAX package. I wouldn?t even consider a dealer?s vehicle, if they didn?t provide a CARFAX for free. By my experience, most of them use CARFAX or other similar services, so if they don?t offer it willingly, I walk away. We found an amazing deal on a late model Camry with low miles from a private owner ? almost too good to be true. But I checked CARFAX and found a long, up-to-date history of excellent maintenance on the vehicle and Mom couldn?t be happier. She?s never had such a nice ride and I am secure in knowing that my Mother is safe and comfortable in a reliable vehicle.”

“People want to see proof that the car they?re buying was cared for properly. In fact, after we gave one customer a Carfax Report that showed the vehicle was well-maintained with regular oil changes, it literally sealed the deal for him. “carfax has saved me from making the wrong decisions I would have made with out carfax information. I find through reports on the vehicles I request and that makes my decision to buy or pass knowing the full information I had received. Carfax is a true value in purchasing any used vehicle.”

“Carfax helped us NOT buy a lemon. We had made plans to drive 3 hours to get my dream car and at the last minute I coughed up the money for a Carfax. What I found was that the car had been in several accidents, had more owners than we were told, and actually had 80,000 miles more than the owner claimed and odometer showed. Obviously, something wasn?t quite right, so we dodged a bullet, thanks to Carfax.”

“I bought a 2005 Chrysler Town and country touring van. I registered as the new owner and within days I received a post card telling me about the recall. Subsequently I received a letter regarding a different recall. for both things I took the van in for service on two different ocasions and both times the problems were fixed to my full satisfaction free of charge the head lightssand on the same day. one was for a light sensor wherethe headlights would go off one at atime and not turn on again. Fixed!. the other one was or the ac line, Fixed!. the only downfall was they did not refill with gas, but that was it. overall, very satisfied. Happy with my van!”

“Carfax didn't help me find a car but helped in finding my recently bought used car's history. It was very helpful in detailing the car's visits to the dealership and helped me figure out what services the car needed regarding maintenance being that the car has a high compression diesel engine.”

“I met a gentleman at the local carwash and we started talking about our cars. He said he had a ?95 Corvette that he bought new that had 25Kmi and had decided to sell it. I was the first person he told that he was ready to sell. I always wanted a Vette and I was very anxious to see it and yes it was like new. The Carfax verified the low mileage was correct! We made the deal and now it?s all mine.”

“I spotted a truck from the street on i driving on . It was what i was looking for but it was on a used car lot in a part of town that had a lot of car lots and the reputation of these car lots lets just say buyer beware. I went in talked about the truck and it had high miles on it for that year excessive miles. Took it for a test drive and was really surprise at the performance this truck did. Told the owner I would think about it and wrote down the VIN # went home that night and ran a car fax report turns out the high mileage was due to the previous owner driving from southern Calif to mid east Ohio a lot. I bought the truck and there is nothing wrong with it and made a good deal to boot. Never would have given that truck a second look with that many miles on it except, car fax exposed the fact that they were interstate miles and not stop and go there is a huge difference. Thanks car fax”

“My husband and I were looking to buy a clean small used car with low miles, but just couldn't be sure about the history the ones we shortlisted. So we bought an unlimited CARFAX package and ran as many cars as we wanted through the process. All we needed for a report was the license plate number, and there were 5 VIN-report options too; so it was breezy. Before getting CARFAX, we had almost made up our mind on a neat-looking Toyota Camry which turned out to be reported as a total-loss, a fact that the owner conveniently kept back from us! Needless to say, we went on to check other cars after that. We finally chose one of two almost identical Honda Accords that we test drove, the CARFAX becoming the ultimate deciding factor again. The one we ended up buying showed regular servicing with all scheduled maintenance performed timely and no major repairs, while the other had practically no information. So thanks to CARFAX, we are now the proud owners of a 'good, clean' car.”

“Recently I found a Dodge pickup on an internet classifeds site. I purchased the multiple CarFax package which eventually resulted in the purchase of the pickup. Not long after that, I was searching the same classified site in order to help my mother find a car, I found a car, ran it through CarFax which resuled in the purchase of the car. Thank You CarFax!”

“Hi. I was almost ready to buy grand caravan of 2009. Seller prided me with auto check report which was clear with no accidents. But wanted to get it more clear for myself and I bought 5 carfax report for 47$ . and I found that there where two accidents this car involved previously. I saved more more paid just small amount to carfax that to go to court and try to resolve this matter later. Thank you to carfax .com for the accurate information provided to people”

“Carfax is the only report I have trusted. I have bought multiple cars including the recent one based on the carfax report. I was looking for a used Honda Accord. I contacted a lot of individual sellers, who did not provide the correct information for their car, but carfax did. Also, the dealers do not reveal all the details of the car, but carfax does. Carfax report definitely helped me in choosing my Honda Accord, which I bought few days ago.”

“Unfortunately I was involved in a car accident a few weeks back where the other driver neglected a Stop Sign totalling my Honda Civic. Thankfully no one was injured, however as a college student that needs to travel and has a busy schedule, I needed to find a replacement vehicle within a week, as the insurance company gave me a rental car for short term use. I was able to use CarFax reports to accurately verify the four cars I was looking into and helped me finalize a decision quickly with confidence. I also avoided falling for a car with a lot of maintenance issues that the owner did not cover. Now I'm happily driving a 2003 Audi A4!”
