“It amazed me how many cars listed for sale have been involved in accidents! Carfax gave me that information, some maintenance records, along with info on any remaining warranties on the cars I looked at. Carfax is a very valuable tool!”

“Used car-fax and appreciated that it indicated the vehicle which I was planning to purchase had no odometer issues. Immediately after purchase I realized the odometer in my vehicle in fact did not work. The reported mileage was one of the most important factors informing my decision to purchase. If I had not used Car-fax I suspect I would have been more thorough vetting the vehicle. I was lulled into a sense of comfort and trust by Car-fax that did not serve me well.”

“I was looking to buy an suv, after checking here and there, I found a 2003 nissan murano on Craigslist, very good condition, good price and low miles, so, before buying it, I checked the record on CARFAX, it really helped me to take a look of the car's history, it was a clean title car, no accidents at all, 2 previous owners, who drove the vehicle very low mileage average per year, besides all the maintenance record's... I have almost 3 months with my car with zero problems, Thanks to CARFAX! I'm glad I checked it out before buying a used car. Hector”

“I was in the market for an Infiniti G35 and was about 5 minutes from buying but the carfax on it was a little sketchy and I just couldn't do it. I ended up getting a Subaru WRX for way cheaper way better condition and a clean carfax. Carfax is great and I really wouldn't buy a car without looking at it. -Rob”

“CARFAX greatly helped me in my last purchase of a Prius. The Prius was located in another town and the owner originally purchased the vehicle from a dealer in the SF Bay area. The seller had since moved to NYC, leaving her father to sell her Prius. The information provided by CARFAX was timely and instrumental in connecting the dots to validate all the important information I was looking for. Great source of information!”

“I went to a dealer 250 miles from home, looking for hard to find truck. Get there they show me auto check and carfax vehicle decent, put deposit on vehicle. Get back home look at paper work and vin# didn't look right for what I put deposit. Well easy check put credit card #in and got my own carfax. Vehicle had been flipped on its side in wreck. Thanks to carfax I was able to stop payment and find good vehicle. Car fax honestly saved me thousands of dollars. Devoted user now. Thanks carfax. Sincerely Mark Van Blaricum.”

“With Great Honesty, I have been looking for cars for over two months and trying my best to find a good used car. With the help of CarFax , It Basically saved my life. Because with out ordering the unlimited package for a cheap $50 , I would've bought a car that has been in a massive accident , or it has been rebuilt , or anything that could cost me a lot of repairs and spending thousands of dollars to be able to make the vehicle Safe. I didn't buy a car and still looking because I'm kinda afraid from being Scammed by many dealers or private sellers. SOOOOO I'm very Grateful and an Extraordinary Tremendous Thanks to CarFax and everyone who works their. With out you guys I would've spend all of the Money on fixing cars instead spending them on my college tuition since I'm student at FSCJ. So Thank you.”

“In 2009 I was looking for a used 1 to 2 year old Lincoln Town Car. I found a 2008 model in Cleveland, Georgia that was a year old, with 10,000 miles on it. When I looked at the CARFAX report, it told me date that the car had been purchased, that it had never been wrecked, that it had been serviced and that it had been purchased by a rental company and used in their rental fleet. The knowledge that the Town Car has been in a rental fleet allowed me to insist on and receive a much larger discount when I negotiated for the lowest purchase price I could get. The information that I found on the CARFAX report saved me approximately $4,000. Thank you for providing this great service.”

“I spent a good bit of time looking at various cars trying to find the right combination of features as well as one with a good history and CarFax helped immensely. I learned one particular car had actually been declared a total loss and then rebuilt and in another accident that would have made it a total loss, none of which was disclosed and I think some of which the current owner didn't know. In the end it was very helpful to be able to go look at a car and essentially know as much about it as the current owner. I was eventually able to find the right car and knowing the history that I did on the car was able to better negotiate a fair deal. I would never buy a used car without CarFax.”

“I how to tell you how car fax saved us from buying a bad car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My son was looking for his first car. A neighbor brought him to his brother in laws garage. The car was a beauty. I felt uncomfortable saying to this good neighbor. I hope you don't mind I need to run a car fox on this. Well turns out the car was a salvage car! It could not be registered. My neighbor felt awful , but I know his brother in law would have took the money & run! He never disclosed that as my son looked dreamingly at this car. I would never buy a car without your service”

“Carfax saved me $500 - $1,000. Found what looked like a clean, low mileage, low priced Hybrid Honda Civic. The seller played dumb saying he wasn't aware of any problems. Then I ran a Carfax on the spot using my mobile phone. Glad I did. It hadn't passed a recent emissions test.”
