“Paid for Car Fax, never got the report, yet it showed used and couldn't get anyone to answer emails, Twitter yelp etc... to receive immediate help. Had to open a case on Paypal for refund to get it resolved. Toll free number would help, if something goes wrong you don't have weeks to wait to get it resolved by then the deal is over.”

“The first car I chose was shipped to Carmax. I accepted delivery. I took the car to my mechanic who discovered some issues I didn't expect so I decided to return the car. I fully expected the run-a-round using the 5 day money back guarantee. Carmax accepted the car back and competed the process within 10 minutes! WOW. Didn't see that coming. I ordered a 2nd vehicle to be shipped from another store. It arrived and passed my mechanic check with a 10 out of 10 rating! Very satisfied with the Carmax process.”

“Looking to buy a 2017 dodge at upscale dealer in chicago. Carfax said it was one owner executive driven so i bought the car. FBI called me a few weeks later and said car was stolen. Thanks carfax for a great job. Your guarentee says u will pay for the stolen car( your mistake) so pay up😩”

“This is not fool-proof. The report said that the truck I was looking at had not been in an accident, that does not mean that there wasn't damage. After I purchased the truck I found out that the front fender had been replaced and painted, the hood and tail gate were re-painted. I am a laymen and I could not tell. Even though the work was done well (not great) the truck had been in an accident or such. The moral of the story is... bring the vehicle to a high end body repair for an inspection, the report might not be 100% accurate!”

“Carfax did not list any accidents but when I had the car inspected before purchase, I found out it had been in an accident. The owner confirmed she had hit a deer.”

“I would have purchased a Lincoln MKX. I used Carfax. I found out that the oil had only been changed every 10,000 miles. The dealer told me that all the maintenance was done on the vehicle at dealerships. Carfax also let me know that was not true. Also the mileage was not accurate. Carfax kept me from making a very bad purchase. Thank you so much. I live on a fixed income and cannot afford to make a mistake like that. I will continue to use Carfax anytime I look at a used vehicle. Thanks again Donna”

“You refuse to change false information posted about my car. I have offered proof to no avail. If you are to be gospel the information needs to be correct, or I need to be given a space to refute or explain. Bad business not to listen or provide explanation with documents.”

“I bought my first SUV recently. Knowing nothing about this type of vehicle, I asked my dealer for a Car Fax. He got distracted, how convenient. Therefore, I got my own repirt. It confirmed my impression th at it was going to be a very good buy. Three previous owners, all in the region. Mileage at each sale confirmed. Few repairs in 170K miles. Good background an educated consumer.”

“The CARFAX service was exactly what I needed to help close the sale. The information is much more in depth than the old start her up and kick the tires method. The price value from the CARFAX report helped knock a few hundred dollars off what the seller wanted, bonus! The report instilled additional confidence needed to purchase a well maintained, used truck at a fair price. Definitely worth money, great job!”

“Was looking at a 2008 Honda Accord. Noticed that the hood didn't close all the way and you could see the weatherstrip. The lady was asking a little more than I was willing to pay. When I got the carfax info, it showed 2 airbag deployments in one year. I offered her less money and she refused. I informed her of the information. She was the 2nd owner. She was not aware of the previous damage.”

“Besides you raising your prices too ridiculous level. I recently learned that the carfax report I pulled for a vehicle I purchased over a year ago now has an accident history on it well over a year later after it occurred.”

“Carfax told me I had “frame damage” on my vehicle and they gave me a low ball price. Took it to an auto body shop and had the vehicle inspected. The auto body technicians said they could not find any signs of damage or repair to the frame. Sold the vehicle myself in two days for $5500 more. Don’t waste your time, they will try to low ball you and they definitely don’t know how to inspect a vehicle!”
