When Carfax has incorrect records for your car, it is near impossible to get them removed. You can send in the form, but there is no number to call. They are basically unresponsive and really don't care if the records of your car are accurate or not.

If you have a billing problem / They will not call you back . Shut my business down in Mid- 2019 Due to cancer and they started billing me for two accounts. Can not get no one to call me back. D. Knapp 208-888-1100 . I will keep giving them bad reviews until we get this settled. Don Knapp 208-888-1100

Some dangerous improperly repaired front suspension work that my car had done before I bought it, that I had to make the used car dealer repair under warranty (and then have partially repaired again properly by an authorized dealer after the used car dealers warranty ran out because the used car dealer used poor quality aftermarket replacement parts), were not listed on Carfax which listed no problems for the car.

I found no value in the Carfax report. I thought I purchased and individual report and was charged for multiple. History is inaccurate. Overall I would not recommend this service and it’s questionable information.

I require assistance from the team and was ignored. I am quite disappointed with the service from CARFAX and therefore didn't purchase another one when buying a new vehicle.

I emailed Car Fax about an issue and they researched it and made changes to the Car Fax report. I purchased a 2018 Nissan Frontier from Steve Landers Crysler Dodge Jeep in Little Rock, Arkansas on 12/05/2019. Come to find out that it was a former Avis rental vehicle and a vehicle accident was reported while it was a rental car but never showed up on the Car Fax. Steve Landers of Norman Oklahoma purchased it in a car auction out of Dallas. Steve Landers Little Rock stated that they serviced prior to my purchasing it and they also reported it serviced on the Car Fax when in fact the car was never serviced through Steve Landers Crysler Dodge Jeep Little Rock. I contacted Car Fax and it is currently under investigation. They have removed the service on the Car Fax. Steve Landers of Norman, Oklahoma has incorrect information on the Car Fax as well.

Carfax has very poor customer service team. I have contacted Carfax three times about a refund because they charged me more than what I should have been charged. I have been fighting with the state of Illinois over a car that I purchased from Lux Motor's in Evansville, IN that apparently was a flood car. The state of Illinois is wanting to issue me a FLOOD title. I purchased one Carfax to see if there was anything on it about the flood for $39.99 and Carfax charged me $99.99. Would never recommend them to anyone.

My car was slightly damaged in a hit and run accident. The trunk lid was replaced making the car just like new. There was no accident report due to the low dollar amount for the repair. The police department, insurance company, and repair facility strongly denied any interaction with Carfax. Somehow the minor event ended up on the Carfax report and when I tried to sell the car, the offers made by online car buying companies were lowered by $1000 specifically because of the report of a repair having been made, without any specifics. After I repeatedly insisted, Carfax identified a "repair facility" as the source but the facility defended themselves and said that their reputation would have be severely damaged if it were known that they gave out such information. When I contacted Carfax for more proof of the source, they then denied that "repair facility" actually meant "repair facility" so I could not take any further action. This has happened to others. Essentially, anyone who gets a minor scratch on their vehicle could lose thousands of dollars in value to their vehicles without any real value being lost. Carfax acts irresponsibly and I hope that a class action is brought against them in order to stop the harm they are causing to innocent people.

As a dealership who has done business for several years I would NEVER RECOMMEND CarFax. Terrible customer service and no consideration for their customers. It’s just about them and they are never wrong.

I called Carfax to get membership for my dealership and a rep transferred me to regional rep, I left a voicemail to call me back, after couple of days I didn't hear anything so I left a message on carfax's Facebook, still after a day no one has called, the only thing happend they replied as first response and got all my information. They have the worst customer service.

Paid for 3 reports but got only one. So watch out in little tiny fine print it says only good for 60 days from original purchase. So got screwed over.
