Carfax help me a lot to check the history of my new car. I was worry about the milles that had my car because it was lower than normal for that year. But, with the carfax history I can proved that the milles was real and that the seller did not change them. I can check that my car was a car lease for that reason has low milles.

Carfax helped ease my mind. I was worried because I purchased a used car with only 30,000 miles. It is a 2003, so I started thinking this sounds to good to be true. So I purchased my Carfax report after I purchased my car. I know that is not to smart. When I got my report I felt better knowing that the mileage had not been tampered with. I really lucked out because nothing bad had ever been reported on the car. The previous owners just didn't drive much at all. But I will be sure to get a Carfax report before I buy another used car. The reports contain a lot of useful information in them. Plus you can't go wrong with the buy back guarantee. I wish I would have purchased a report for the two previous used cars I got burned on. So I highly recommend that you get your Carfax reports before handing over any money. Like I said I just happened to luck out this time.

I went to the dealer to buy my car and asked for a carfax before I purchased it. To my astonishment the salesman kept telling me heres the car fox, and kept mumbling about a double rainbow and tears of joy that never felt so sad. It was like they were speaking another language. I kept insisting that he had the option of giving me a car fax maybe. Well After I got home I ran the real carfax on it and it showed over several Major accidents and a salvage title. It makes sense now how the grill, tail lights, both doors and hood don't line up well. Also I finally know that the water stain line on the headliner wasn't a factory installed option like the salesman said. I called them Monday to complain about the "speed stain lines" and salvage thing. They told me it was most likely caused by a "loose nut behind the wheel" I don't know what that has to do with any of my concerns but they advised me to take the car to a specially trained 4 cylinder flcks capacitor shop. I have been calling around and have no idea who specializes in these. I guess its a very complicated vehicle because all the automotive shops I call (that don't immediately hang up on me) just sit there on the phone and laugh for 5 minutes straight and wont answer any of my questions. I called my dealer back and they said the ones furthest away are the ones i need to go to. Specialty shops aside I know they must be out there because I see a few of my same car on the road from time to time. I should have bought the less expensive model instead of the "Leymon Steemer performance package" as the sales man told me. Nothing about this car feels like it has any performance package. Id sure hate to be stuck with the standard base model though. This car creeks, sways, and wanders aggressively enough even with the suspension package. I feel sorry for the owners of the base models I see on the road. They don't even have the "semi slick willy" speed tires (slick on the inside and tread on the outside) pretty cool. (inside also has speed grabber lines showing through) I wish I did the car fax sooner.

Never used Carfax before this endevour to buy a used car / suv. Found it quite helpfull as long as the car was maintained at a dealership somewhere. Not much use if it was not since apparently not many independent mechanics input to car fax. I used my truck as a test bed , bought the 5 pack offered for $59.00, and used it for checking mine and 4 others before I bought one at a dealership. The info on recalls pending and done was worth the cost alone and influenced us away from the first car we searched for along time to find due to the recalls that were doen and pending. A good service but perhaps a little misleading in your advertising on the TV. Joe Sampietro

I was going to buy the 2005 camry and checked carfax and found that carfax report turned out very well even compared to carproof. And I also checked carfax reports for a couple of my friends and found there are some cares with rebuilt status, that reduced huge potential for us, thank you CARFAX!

Awesome way to check if the car you're thinking about buying has a title, or anything you should be concerned about!

Carfax helped me buy a used 2005 BME 325i. Without Carfax, I probably would have passed up the deal, and missed out on the opportunity to get a great car.

Make me confident of buying a car from private seller. But, it is expensive, and only 1 month service. Overall: Good!

I was about to buy a SUV (Hyundai) that was priced quite reasonably. However, I found out that the vehicle was damaged in the Katrina Hurricane. Carfax really saved me some heartache.

CARFAX helped me determine the choice of my most recent car purchase. Being able to see the history of owners, maintenance and potential issues of the vehicle made me feel more at ease of buying it. In my particular case, the maintenance records in the car's factory booklet mirrored the CARFAX report (5 owners, all recorded maintenance, no damage, and no tampering.) The small charge for the CARFAX report is well worth the peace of mind you get. I would highly recommend to anyone that is in the market for a used car to get a CARFAX report on it before making his/her decision.
