“The airfare booking went smoothly, however the car booking did not. I recieved a call that my car rental did not go through. When I spoke with the attendant - first, he sounded like he just woke up, he was not friendly in the slightest, actually, he was quite rude - Just be FRIENDLY. Second, he told me the booking didnt go through becuase it didnt convert the euros to dollars correctly, and the new price for the car was double!! That is not a conversion issue. Then he told me that this was the only offer in germany becuase of a lack of competition: I travel to Germany twice per year, I rent cars often, he was either ignorant or lying, because I have never paid over $30 a day for a car and there are several rental agencies to choose from. As I was speaking with him, I looked up renatls and found several for under $30/day. He then made it difficult to cancel my registration ("i have to run this by my supervisor" what?!?) and told me he would send a confirmation and never did. I had to call Cheapflights back to find out if my resv. was actually canceled. I thought maybe I was scammed.”

“I would never book from here anymore . I booked @ one price and later got called saying that airlines didn’t update the real price in the site so I will have to add money as that price has expired . They won’t confirm your ticket unless you add more money . I was being badle scammed .”

“Booking through you was the worst experience I had major surgery a few days before my flight My doctor gave me permission to fly out to my dads so that they could take care of me I booked 2weeks but somehow the system put in for only 1 week, which my doctor did not want me flying that close together I called and everyone refused to help me adjust the return flight, cheapflights kept telling me that only the airline could change the date and the airline kept telling me that only cheapflights could change it So I went to leave for my destination and someone cancelled my flight and did not tell me I had to rebook the day of and the charged me sooo much more money and refused to give me back the money they already too off my credit card for the original flight I will never use these guys again”

“In Case of Cancellation: Unethical Tactics & Hidden Fees On Tuesday, June 18, 2024, I purchased a one-way transatlantic flight (5 months in advance!) on the "Cheap Flights Fares" website, flying with Aer Lingus from Toronto to London. Unfortunately, the very next day, unexpected things happened, and I needed to cancel this flight, taking advantage of the widely known airline policy of "Free 24-hour cancellation". Because the "Cheap Flights Fares" website didn't respond to my login attempt to manage the booking online, I called customer service directly to cancel the flight. There were still over 8 hours left in the 24-hour window to cancel without penalty. Oh boy, what gimmicks they tried to use to get some money out of me! First, they said I couldn't cancel because the air carrier is from Europe and has a different policy. Then, they tried to tell me that the 24-hour cancellation time window wasn't recognized due to the difference between European and North American time zones, claiming my time had already expired by European time (!!!)... When I insisted on proceeding with the cancellation, they said I could only do it if I upgraded my economy ticket to economy plus for non-refundable $99 USD. When I hesitated, they offered me a $25 USD discount coupon and said they would cancel for non-refundable $75 USD. Ultimately, when I threatened them with "Google Review" and possible legal action, they agreed to cancel for a full refund. However, when I checked my credit card statement, it showed they still charged me a $20 fee for... who knows what?! Dealing with this company was a very unpleasant experience, feeling like I was being unfairly charged and taken advantage of when life made me vulnerable and somewhat desperate. This company presents ZERO professional ethics and ZERO respect for rules and policy, at least in regards to "cancelations". Be careful!”

“Revision: I was contacted to remedy the situation below. While the associate on the phone was very kind, nothing has still been resolved. I would still NOT recommend this company. DO NOT use their travel insurance policy - it is an absolute scam. They charged $140 fee just to change my flight, this fee was not communicated to me while on the phone with them changing my flight. Additionally, they charged me for the cost difference between my new flight. WHAT WAS THE PURPOSE OF YOUR INSURANCE!!!! I rarely take the time to write reviews- let alone scathing ones- but this company should not be aloud to operate. It’s obscene.”

Then I was told they could only refund about half, even though the terms clearly state free cancellation for 24 hours. “Very misleading when I was checking out it said Alaska when I got my email it says Delta.. We always fly Alaska as we're military and our bags are waived and they allow us to board earlier.. I called cheapglights and was told that a not true.. Mind you we fly Alaska every 3months.. The customer service is absolutely horrible.. Oh and we have two children and non of is are together we can't get assigned seats til the day of “ Maybe “.. The stress of booking with cheap flights is crazy…”

“I’m very upset with the results from cheap flights. My wife was declined to get on the airplane when she got there with two hours of anticipation and they do not let her board the plane I called cheap flights and they totally wash their hands off the problem and did not help me at all. We had to pay an additional $99 to be able to change the flight for tomorrow so I will never use you guys again due to the fact Not our fault And the company for chief flights completely ignore my request. I’m trying to help me with this. I called cheap flight. Still have about 40 minutes before the flight departure and they still went ahead and said that they couldn’t do nothing.”

“First I got an email saying to call due to a change in my fare. I call and apparently the price of the tickets increased and I had to pay the difference. Giving them the benefit of the doubt I approved it and paid the difference. I then asked to add mine and a friends babies (under 2yrs old) to our flight itinerary. They said the fare was free for the children but we needed to pay the taxes which doesn’t make any sense. It was going to $150 to add two lap children. After fighting with the lady on the phone I pretty much had no other choice at the time but to pay the amount. After all was said and done I had to pay an extra $300 over my original booking price. This website is a scam, I will never use them again. Oh and on Deltas website you can add a lap child for free of charge, but cheapflightfares won’t refund me what I paid. Lousy company!”

“BEWARE OF THESE CRIMINALS!!! Not sure who I should direct these feelings toward! I bought a flight 2 days ago from cheapflightfares then I get a call the next day that my flight was canceled. Very odd! They didn't give me a refund! When I asked why they canceled the flight they said the airline company said it was due to technical difficulties! The flight is 1 month away! When I went directly to the airline website, the same flight was there for more money. Maybe cheapflightfare undersold their flight. Sad day!!! I don't know what to think anymore. I was called by someone to try and fix this review and was offered a $50.00 Credit voucher. Well then I go online to see other reviews and this company is a SCAM! How awful! I also wasn't given back my refund. They will get sued and I will be pressing charges. My family all work in law. YOU are dishonest and you are criminals. I WILL MAKE SURE THAT I GO ON SOCIAL MEDIA TO EXPOSE YOU, ALSO THEY HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO BBB!”
