“I was informed when a change to my itinerary occurred. I called immediately to get the return flight changed, and the customer service worker said it was changed to a better time. I now checked the reservation and it was entirely unchanged and I had to pay $80 to change it myself. I would like that $80 returned.”

“The original fare was okay. But the communication between the site and the airline is horrible. They end up charging me an extra $57 with a threat of leaving me if I didn't pay. I have never been treated so badly by any carrier.”

“I was in a party of 5 paid for one bag. I gave them my name and it showed i hadn't purchased a bag. They put it in another one of the passengers name and I paid for the bag at the airport. Coming back they said I paid for airport assistance which stopped them from assigning me seats after I purchased pre check in that come with seat assignment. I therefor had to go extra early to the airport to secure seats. I never paid for assistance nor did the airline have anything on me asking for assistance. Those 2 errors were unacceptable. Especially since when I called them , they insisted that the errors were made by me”

“When you think you've purchased a flight for a specific cost, and then you get a phone call the next day saying that your flight is NOT confirmed and the price has increased, that is FRUSTRATING. I could have gotten the same rate going directly through the airline company. I will likely never use your service again. I would like to add the following: I was contacted within 24 hours of my complaint by a representative of Cheap Flights. The representative was very responsive in wanting to resolve my frustration and I was compensated fairly for my personal issue. In addition, the representative agreed to notify the company regarding the need for transparency in this business practice on their website, i.e. that a confirmed purchase on Cheap Flights is not a confirmed ticket until accepted by the airline company. When transparency of this business practice is resolved, I would change my rating.”

“I have booked 3 times through this site and all three times they have failed to secure the ticket at the purchase price. I have been called and informed the price is often $500-$600 more. I believe this site is a scam and would advise not to use this site ever!”

“I do not care for the level of professionalisum that Cheapflights offers, my father fell ill and has maybe hours to a couple days before he passes. when i tried to cancel and get a refund. They kept coming back to me about a death Certificate. i understand your a corperation. I have one too, but would never fall to that new low they set as the standard now. i was at the airport when i got the call from the hospital, on a ticket i bought 8 hours before the flight was supposed to leave. please stay away to avoid these people.”

“Bait and switch: Made reservation and got a call within a half hour saying that fare was no longer available, but lots of more expensive fares were. I resisted upgrading to the more expensive fares and just said cancel my order if they couldn't provide the original quoted fare. Two hours later, I received a confirmation for tickets for the original fare. In looking at online reviews, seems like a common tactic here. Won't use them again.”

“This company is a complete and utter SCAM!! I booked a flight with them, and a few hours later I got an email asking me to call them. I called them, and the lady on the phone told me that "ACTUALLY" there has been a change in one flight, and the new price is 90 dollars higher. I told her that I refuse, as I paid for a ticket online, and that is that. She challenged me to find a lower price online for that flight. I then went online and told her that I found one on edreams. She then made a counteroffer and told me the best price she can offer me is 18 dollars more than what I had originaly paid. What kind of a company does this?? For 18 extra dollars they were willing to go so LOW. They seem to be in the business of scamming people, and when I searched online I found that this is their MO. They do this to customers. Have you pay for a flight, then tell you after you made the booking that they need more money. I am so dissapointed that Kayak has chosen to work with this company.”

“I’ll never bought a ticket in this platform. The airline doesn’t recognize the reservation that cheap flights told everything is ok!. I called the airline to be sure that I don’t have a reservation, a they told me you are in the status VOIDED and they told me we will refund your money back (100%) BUT people from cheap flights told me they will refund partially.”

“I booked the flight on the website, paid for the flight (almost €3000) and then didn't get a confirmation via email. I had to call. When I called they said there was a waitlist for that flight. I said I booked it and paid for it so that couldn't be possible. They went away and came back and said they could get me on the flight but it would cost €100/pp each. I already booked the flights and paid so I said that I wasn't going to pay more, considering I chose those flights based on the cost and could have booked with another company that wouldn't pull me around. I was 100% convinced at that moment that this company was a scam. They confirmed the flights were fine and then I didn't get an email confirmation so I called again and finally got it - but it was a link to the airline surrounded by ads in the email so even the confirmation email seemed sketchy. There were a lot of typos on the website as well that made it feel fake.”

“You confirmed our flights then the next day said it did not go through. We lost our original flight out and had to go later in the day. This was a work trip and you caused many delays and expenses not too mention your price went up almost $500. Disgusting”

“I accidentally purchased a ticket through this website. Immediately, I received a call stating that my flight would not be able to go through and had to be switched. I reluctantly agreed and was assured I would be able to change flights if need be. The next day I received TERRIBLE customer service from an agent — first he tried to route my return flight through an AWFUL itinerary (thousands of miles and extra hours out of the way) and with a terrible, condescending attitude. (He should definitely be fired.) Now I am waiting to have my return flight booked on a comparable flight. They claim my fare will be reserved; they were unwilling to issue a refund, but claim I will be able to fly home without paying too much extra… no guarantees, though, and nothing booked. Bottom line. I ACCIDENTALLY booked through this website, and I will never do it again. It was a huge, costly mistake. The manager was at least respectful, but the agent who was so unhelpful and disrespectful truly needs to be fired.”

“I contacted the number indicated in the email several times to cancel my reservation and the people didn't care and kept calling me and I was left like a ball from hand to hand and no one resolved anything. I was answered in English and Spanish and the attendants don't care about what you need, they don't care about you. The email says that I have the right to a refund if I cancel before the date and the attendant already told me that I don't have the right. This is not my fault, I bought a ticket with an early cancellation and refund policy. I think this is a huge disrespect for people's money. If an airline flies like this, poor passengers. Very disappointing, I won't be back but you can be sure.”

“I set up a flight on their website and paid. Received an urgent email to call back. Upon calling I was told my flight wasn't available. Was told I could upgrade to main cabin for several hundred more. I did move forward as I need the flight. After further review same day I found the flight was available at other competitors site and directly from American website. Called back well within 24 hours and was told I could get a refund minus several hundred dollars in fees. I also was told that the prices that I found much lower were not accurate and felt like the agent was saying I was lying. I was looking at American site and said he was also and he said I was wrong. Ended the call with him and called back in demanding a full refund. They eventually gave it to After this agent kept insisting I let him try. I kept saying no. I now have our flight scheduled through American and and almost 500.00 cheaper. Stay away from this company as they say one thing and do another. Happy today we are all set. I will always go directly to the airlines website first and stay away from 3rd party like this company.”
