“They set a price and then charge more to be able to give the reference number”

“I booked and paid for $75 one way flight earlier in the day 9/11/23. Later that evening someone named “EDGE” called 714-782-7106 from Anaheim in Orange County CA. He called to inform me they overbooked and the airfare had gone up and I needed to pay an additional $30. I refused and told him no, and he put me on hold for 3-4 minutes and said they would issue a $30 credit to offset the increase. I said great and we hung up. Later that evening I noticed a $74 charge I did not recognize. I called the next morning to my credit card and they confirmed it was from Cheap Flights. I told them it was not authorized and that I had problems with that company the night before. I had to cancel my credit card to avoid the charge and now go through the hassle of getting a replacement while traveling. Cheap Flights are scam artists and up to no good. I will not use them again. Found them through Kayak search engine- beware!”

“A little harder to use their app, but they have a phone number, and they actually answer the phone with a real person. Don’t confuse them with cheapflights.com which is just a clearinghouse for other search engines. I’ll definitely come back and try them again.”

“No disclosure of possible increase in fare price after purchase made. Received email asking to call back to complete purchase just to be advised additional money needed due to sold out seats on a non national carrier?! So much non disclosure and no transparency before purchase. Could not refund either due to carrier so stuck with paying more or losing money!!”

“I wouldn’t Recommend and do not plan on purchasing from this company again . I purchased a flight for 85 dollars and received and email saying that my purchase is on hold and I need to call them . Once I called i was told that the price on my flight went up and i needed to pay an additional 92 dollars . He managed to bring it to an additional 62 dollars on top of the 85 i already paid . It was pretty upsetting that the original price couldn’t be honored . I was told my Total was 162 but my bank statement says I was charged 174. REVISED **************** An agent called me due to the review and offered me a 25 dollar flight credit . He said it’s important for customers to have a positive experience”
