terrible service trying to buy a fridge freezer I have ordered lots of things over the years from curry's this time around its been dismal never ever again, from the customer service, their website not working, and now letting us know the morning of our fridge delivery its going to take another three days NOT GOOD ENOUGH we should of gone to John Lewis. I bought a gift card for the value of £700 in store with cash so we could browse fridge freezers at home, I bought a tv and with a extra charge to have fridge fitted '£40' we were told in store it was £25 but never mind, anyway I used my gift card total came to £903 so there was a extra amount to pay , however when it came to using my debit card their website would not process my card or my PayPal details so I was left with no choice but to start the order again, however once we got to the gift card payment option it had disabled the £700 for 24 hours I was unapologetically told online chat with customer services, as we were desperate for the fridge, I ended up buying the entire lot on my debit card with the view they would refund the gift card it being their fault .... a long long long wait on the phone to customer services line told me they don't refund gift cards, instead they will cancel the order with the view that when the amount went back on the gift card I could start over however I was advised to order it in store, obviously they have no faith in their own website either, reluctantly I agreed by now this entire trying to order a fridge online saga had gone on in total for 35 minutes, now I was told they cant cancel order as their systems were playing up ring back tomorrow, I then hung up I was that annoyed. Next day my partner rang them to confirm the delivery for Sunday this was Saturday, I got a text saying from 9 till 1pm, come 8 am Sunday, I get a phone call to say its not in the warehouse some dribble like that and it wont come till Wednesday... RIDICULOUS please if your reading this GO TO JOHN LEWIS it may cost slightly more however the customer service & professionalism pays for its self , unlike these clowns...

Currys Norwich seems to have reneged on its obligations as a retailer. My elderly neighbour bought an electric double oven cooker at the end of May. The small oven doesn't work. She notified Currys about this problem almost immediately. It seems they have refused to replace it, apparently telling her that "it's too late", which cannot be true when she'd had the cooker for less than a week at the time. She's on her own dealing with this and because she is finding it very stressful has decided to accept the faulty cooker. That concerns me because I wonder what else could go wrong with it. I feel that Currys Norwich is taking advantage of a vulnerable person. I want to let potential customers know about this shoddy service so they can buy from a more reliable and honest trader. Based on the way Currys has reportedly dealt with this matter, I wouldn't even give it one star if that were possible.

Front line PR personnel, dont have a clue what they doing.. Let alone what they saying.. And when you show abit of upper hand knowledge, they put the phone down on you!!... And its cost, £6 odd to have the liberty.... Its disgusting and disappointing for this day an age! Get away from Currys/pcworld.... Find someone else.... Please?!!

What an experience!!! We have been paying £8.99 for over 8 years for a cover plan for our laptop, which has been accidentally damaged. We have just found out that the damage “exceeds what the technician would expect” and damaged laptop has been returned to us!!! Almost £1000 spent on a monthly plan plus the price of the laptop!! leaving us with even more to be spent on a new laptop WHICH DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE IN CURRYS!!

Currys PC world won't replace TV that they have damaged – Cover plan Currys Pc World – Team know How /Cover plan – Buyers be aware – my experience – unfair practices! Outcome /facts • TV collected for repair for technical fault , repair returned , however TV damaged from drop in transit leaving cracked screen and bent frame surround + screen was covered in scratches and stains , not new parts . • Team know how refused to replace even though they damaged the TV and insisted that they repair covered in terms and conditions. No terms covered the eventuality that Currys/PC world had damaged customers goods in transit so default terms would be to repair.

Appaling customer service! Purchased a product which developed a fault (it happens with electronics). Contacted the manufacturer and spent a whole month trying to convince them that it was faulty. Eventually they agreed for me to contact the retailer (Currys) for a warranty exchange. I thought finally! in a few days I will get a new one (wrong!). Nearly two months later, I still haven't received my replacement. Lots of inaccurate information provided and false promises. Imagine the amount of time I have wasted dealing with this incompetent bunch. I felt like asking for a refund but the product was purchased when it was on offer so I won't be able to get it at the same price plus, after having spent 3 months trying to get it sorted, I feel like I do want a replacement at the same price. I have spent thousands of pounds at Currys in the past but needless to say, I will never EVER spend a single penny with them. Disgusting!

Paid £199 for a hoover and opted to have it delivered which they stars would be within 2 days. 11 days later and absolutely no correspondence from them I have not recieved the item. I called customer services and am being refused a refund at this stage even though they admitted that the tracking still shows the item with delivery company. I have paid for goods and they are aware they have not given me the good and refused a refund. Fraud.

I purchased an oven from Currys (online) and chose to add the following service for £15: 'Remove and recycle your old appliance To save you the hassle, when we deliver we can take away and recycle your old appliance, along with any packaging your new one comes in. Just add Let’s recycle on the Basket page, charge applies.' The bottom of my invoice also stated: 'What will be done for you? We’ll unpack your product and dispose of the packaging for you. Before we leave, we'll make sure you're happy with the work we have done.' The delivery staff did take our old appliance, however they refused to take the packaging from the new one - as promised on Curry's website and confirmed on my invoice. I thought Curry's would be keen to rectify this ... I was wrong. I phoned their Customer Service Helpline and was put on hold, then cut-off. Several emails later, Curry's promised to refund the £15 ... this never materialised. When I got back in touch to query this I was told: 'Removal of your new item is part of the installation service and looking into our system I can confirm that you only requested a Remove and recycle your old appliance and not the installation service. Our back office team have refused the refund of the £15 Remove and recycle your old appliance fee due to these grounds.' This is clearly a case of misselling. Both their website and their invoices are evidence of this. When I got back in touch (again) I was told that they'd send a delivery team to collect the packaging - 20 days after they should have taken it. This is clearly not practical or acceptable - but they are still refusing to refund the £15. PLEASE, if you value honest selling and good customer service, AVOID purchasing from Currys.

We bought a cooker from currys pc world delivered today few scratches told the driver to take it back. I was showed at what he did, I spat on top and rubbed it with his t shirt how disgusting. I said that is unhygienic what you have just done, he said sorry no scratches and spat again. The other delivery chap just looked at me and shook his head and said sorry. This is very bad if only he would of asked for a cloth. Not spread germs from his mouth. I hope head office does something about this. This is dam disgraceful and filth

I had a washing machine delivered from the High Wycombe store. The delivery company caused hundreds of pounds worth of damage to my kitchen floor, and I now can’t get any response from Curry’s customer service in regards compensation. I will never use Curry’s again.

Recently bought a new Samsung washing machine from Currys, which so far is working OK. On installation Curry's contractor made two deep scratches about 6 foot long in our expensive Amtico floor. We immediately contacted customer "services" and were offered £50 compensation, which we did not accept, as to replace the damaged area of floor will cost several hundred pounds. Currys then sent an extremely rude and ignorant man to inspect the floor, and shortly afterwards we received a letter saying the contractor was not responsible for the damage, and Currys would not offer any compensation. The letter implied we were lying and stated the scratches were already in the floor prior to installation of the washing machine, which they were not. Customer services did not return my phone calls as promised on several occasions when I tried to contact them to pursue this. I have since been promised someone will call me in 3 - 5 days, in reply to several emails, but I am still awaiting a call, almost one month later. We thought Currys were a reputable company, prepared to accept liability for damage caused to our property by their contractor, but this is very apparently not so.

If I had read these poor reviews before ordering a washer dryer I would not have used Curry’s. Delivery missed the first day and subsequent delivery slot not kept. Had to wait in 2 days with numerous calls to the call centre to find out what was going on. We were told that curry’s over book and this is a frequent occurrence. Have been left with a small leak where plumbed in. Have had to pay for my own plumber to sort it out as tenants move in tomorrow. Has ended up costing more. Use a reliable firm not Curry’s.

This is the worst company I have ever had to work with. They were supposed to have delivered and said that they delivered a freezer and then took weeks to deliver it. Once we got it, it was running warm and then goes warmer to now it is +15°C--warmer than a fridge. They will not return it or fix it although it should be under warranty. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!

They Delivered a faulty Logik Fridge Freezer and wouldn't replace, sent out a repair guy who said I needed to balance the Fridge as my floor was off in his report but failed to mentionin the report that he also said it could be the Fridgemight be off centre or hinges not put on properly, I did level the Fridge only to be told there isn't a fault so I sent a video click so there still wont replace never mind refund but will send out a crew to inspect the Fridge. Totally lost all respect for this company and will never buy from them again, I was about to buy a cooker, Dyson handheld and a Condenser but was having problems with my back sending out a clearance code for my money to be transferred, I just wish it didn't work in the first place, so I'm still waiting to see what the final out come will be, I will update as soon as I get the final message from them. AVOID AT ALL COST but from AO or John Lewis, fast response and great customer service from both.

purchased a samsung55in tv im march 2018 with a 5 year extended warranty for a total £728. we have just started to have an issue with the screen, we have large purple patch on the screen. went into the telford to ask advice. I showed an image of the screen to a member of along with the receipt. His reply was that the model of the tv we have was stock left over from black Friday and that they were cheap stock. he said im not a repair guy but it looks as if rear lights gone.... I can sell you a new one. I don't call £700 cheap and was quite annoyed how dismissive he was. I am also even less impressed how a tv just over 12mths old is in need of repair. So on the way I spoke to knowhow help desk. The young girl looked at the receipt handed it back and said bring it in to the and it will be sent away for assessment. I don't know who is responsible for training within the telford store but the attitude of staff leaves a little to be desired. its no wonder high street retail is ailing. in the mean time im watching a tv with more purple rain than prince ever had.

Worst place to buy products and terrible customer services. If this is how Currys treat customers who spent about £1000,what is it like to someone spending less??! After 9 visits Currys still couldn't get it right. Never to shop at Currys again. Orders will be canceled.

How difficult can it be to buy appliances from Currys ? And Currys making same mistakes after about 9 visits?! 1st time they came to deliver a dryer without washing machine. And an oven that they claimed was a wrong product even after explaining to shops about it. Biggest joke was the customer services who were extremely rude on the phone, having spent about £1000 with the company!! 2nd time after shop manager talked me out of canceling the products, and after 3 more visits to the shop to make sure they WILL deliver all 3 appliances TOGETHER, they managed to turn up without the oven!!! How bad can Currys service be?? I am canceling the order now. Never will I shop at Currys again.

Ordered an American style fridge freezer. It's a big unit and they knew it when they sold it. Paid for the delivery, installation and recycling of my old unit. Nearly £2000 for the lot. Delivery guys show up, realise that it's an old Victorian tenement without a lift and refuse to get it up the stairs for me. They offer to dump it on the downstairs landing instead. The cheek! I tell them to bugger off and take the fridge back where it came from. What's the point of me paying EXTRA for installation if they're not actually planning to install it? Not even get it up into my kitchen?! 15 minutes on hold with customer service only to be told to call back later if I want a refund. No apology. Made me feel like it's my own fault that they don't deliver large fridges when there's stairs involved. NOWHERE in their FAQ nor when I was ordering was it EVER stated that this would be the case or that they are unable to arrange for more manpower to complete the task. This is blatant misselling. To say that this is unacceptable and unreasonable doesn't even begin to cover it. Will never buy anything from Currys as long as I live.
