What a thoroughly shambolic, depressing, lazy, under invested, and uncaring company. Been out of the country for a few years and we had to buy a washer dryer and dishwasher. 2.5 hours in the shop watching the staff coach each other in how to override their IT system which they all say doesn't work. And then to top it all when the goods are delivered the delivery guys wouldn't install them even though we had ordered it. We regret ever stepping foot inside Currys and will never ever go back.

I went into Currys to buy a television. When I asked to purchase my chosen TV the assistant told me "you don't want to buy that its rubbish". I asked her why do you sell it if it is rubbish and of course she blamed head office. I was then told by 2 other colleagues that it was rubbish and they tried to sell me something that was £125 more expensive. I left without buying a TV and went to Argos and bought it there. Very poor, unprofessional customer care, staff should be fire

I ordered a tumble dryer via their website. £350 was taken as payment when the order was placed. One month later I had heard nothing about delivery of my order although had received emails asking me to review the item. I contacted Currys customer services and was told that they didn't have the item in stock and had no idea when it was due back in. I cancelled the item and ordered it elsewhere. No communication from Currys in a month.

if anyone decided to use currys don't, they will not exchange damaged goods after 48 hours, then blamed me for not reading all through their policies about refunding/exchanging goods, what she did say however was to make the delivery people unpack every item they deliver!!!! I said I shant be using them again so that wont apply.

Purchased a White Knight Spin Dryer on 12th June 2015. After 3 weeks it started making an horrendous grinding noise. I intended to to take it back but suffered a slipped disc and was laid up for 4 weeks. Tried to phone the repair line 13 times! and was cut off each time after answering long tedious questions. Next step - email to customer services.. Sent 5 of those - just got automated responses - no phone call or human contact. Eventually put the dryer in the car and drove a round trip of 40 miles to my store. Manager said he couldn't do anything because his phones were "down" eh? Eventually got on to Currys repair agents who phoned me 4 times to ask what type of TUMBLE dryer it was. No one seemed to know what a SPIN dryer was. They booked appointment for engineer to call then cancelled it because they didn't have the parts for my TUMBLE Dryer !! Second appointment made for 2 days ago. Time off work (unpaid) waited in only to see engineer drive at top speed straight past my door, out of the village and disappear back to the motorway. I called the office to complain and they rebooked for next week (13th Oct) however this morning they called again to say they haven't got the part for my TUMBLE Dryer - and they might have to send an engineer to photograph the appliance. UNBELIEVABLE ! Wont be using Currys ever again - you get my vote for the worst after sales service in the UK. Congratulations.

Tablet broke after 5months returned to the shop, assistant very abrubt and matter of fact, told would have to be returned to manufacturer and would take 3 weeks. Complained about her attitude. No notification of return after 28 days rang customer service twice and the went to store, said the tablet had been picked up by courier and the would ring when back in store. Visited store asking where tablet was they couldn't find it but said it had been repaired. Spoke to the manager saying we were within our rights to have a refund or replaced, his attitude was" It has been repaired within 28days and your not leaving this store with a new one". And blanked us. Rang CAB next day to check on our rights, rang back customer service was told a load of rubbish. I asked Customer Service to email the store what CAB had told me and that I would give them till the following Monday to come up with the repaired Tablet. Within minutes the store had rung me to say they had found the tablet under some boxers (Whatever) I asked to speak to the manager but was told he was busy. The issue with the tablet fixed returned is not an issue to me now it is the appalling Customer service. Infact I'm tempted to see the manager when I collect it and smash it up in front of him to make my point. Never again continue to buy online.

I bought a laptop from them with a sticker on it ''plays well with windows 10'' when I installed windows 10 the mouse would freeze and the laptop was lagging. Brought it back to the store and said that laptop is underperforming they agreed to exchange it. I paid £100 extra for the ''better performing'' laptop. After using it for a week the screen just went blank while reading an article. It wouldn't function at all. Brought it to the store. The guy recovered it and told me sometimes new laptops do it, but if it does that again I should bring it to the store because then there would be a fault with it. After a week or so it did it again and laptop wasn't functioning. When I brought it in the store a girl with an attitude said I wasn't taking a good care of my laptop that's why it broke. Said I returned it twice, they'll exchange it again but If I bring the laptop in again then they've got a problem with me. They said they have never had this issue before insinuating that I broke the laptop all these times. Now, I am a very careful user, who only goes to email, word document and facebook. I felt really intimidated by them. Tried to explain that I didn't break it but they wouldn't take it. Seems that a customer is always wrong there. This made me really upset

Purchased fridge freezer requested removal of old appliance and door reversal. Delivery driver was very rude and said I had not paid for either the recycle or the door reversal. He also refused to remove packaging even though the paperwork said that is what their drivers will do. Spent ages trying to get hold of a customer service which was nigh on impossible. When I did complete waste of time in the end cancelled the door reversal. Take my advice never ever use this company - I won't again!!!!

On Friday 13/09/15 went into local store and looked at on display Dishwashers. Selected Beco Model number DFN05X10W not for price but for internal dish holding size and having had Beco products before where the after sale service was excellent. Delivered free of charge at approx 19:00 hrs on Friday 18th of same month, free of charge,. Good so far. Next day I plumbed in. Went to use but one of the soap dispensers would not stay shut, called Customer Services. Was asked "Would you like a replacement Dishwasher", if yes please call the engineers number he will come out and determine replacement/repair. We made several return calls that day to Customer Services, stating that this machine was delivered not in full working order. They insisted that as it was not plumbed in by a qualified engineer, would we contact the engineer. It was finally agreed they would contact engineer and have him call us/attend the next working day. Monday 21st no call or visit, even though a day off work. We called Customer Services again. We were requested to await for call from Engineer. We waited and waited tentatively. On Tuesday 29th received a letter from Engineer, please call to make arrangement for access. Engineer did not have our number, although two were given To Customer Services on several occasions. First call from engineer Monday 30th, 11 days after complaint to confirm access. He arrived as scheduled 07:30 am 1st October and changed the dispenser (very nice man). On leaving he stated "Why did they not replace your machine, after all it was only a day old when you reported, came out the box that way I suppose? Is that why you asked me why I was repairing it?" He was INSTRUCTED to REPAIR it, even waited for parts. There were no instructions, passed, even though we had called at least three times on the 19th, making it clear we were not calling an engineer in and we wanted this machine REPLACED. Through the years, having been married 40 yrs, myself and family have spent thousands through Curry's NO MORE. The extended warranties are a rip off, Please wait till your Manufacturing Guarantee runs out. Register your purchase with the Manufacturer and they will offer you a competitive deal prior your guarantee expiry. Do not fall for the sales pitch and SEEK alternatives. I have been doing that for years now. As for your Customer Services Curry's..........A Joke. Cannot pass on simple phone numbers or correct information. Don't darken my doorstep and won't darken yours.

my apple laptop broke 2 months after I bought it. First I was told I needed to return it to the branch I'd purchased it from. Which was 180 miles away!, Then I was told Currys had Apple approved engineers who would assess my laptop. I was informed my laptop was repaired and ready for collection. When I got it home I found a letter saying the repair was not under warranty and it was still broken. Apple have informed me Currys are not an apple approved repairer and apple never received my laptop for assessment! I also bought a fridge freezer and the water dispenser did not work. Curry sauce refused to let me return the product. Do NOT use currys to buy ANYTHING! The customer is always wrong!,

If only I had been on here before making a purchase I would have avoided this company like the plague. I purchased a washing machine and 14 months later it stops working. very suspicious that it is just outside of the one year guarantee. Coincidences happen though so as long as it gets fixed I would be happy. All parts are still covered by a 5 year guarantee. When I call up everything seems OK. Yes we can repair it and yes you have a 5 year guarantee. Perfect......until I am informed that I still need to pay for a call out charge for the engineer to fix it. So parts are covered but we are going to sting you for a call out charge....of £120 which is half the price of the washing machine in the first place! What a con. I need my clothes washed so I fork out the money, then the fun really begins. "We can send an engineer out on Tuesday if that suits?" Their engineers work from 7.30 am till 6.00 pm. Well I do have a job otherwise I wouldn't be able to afford your poorly made product or the rip off fees you are charging me to fix said product so can you make it from 4.30 onwards? Oh no says the rather poorly titled "Customer Service" agent in a mocking tone. It would be ridiculous to think that you could actually choose a time which works for you! We will give you a three hour window. "We can't guarantee any times" Well I can guarantee I will be at work till 4.30 so there is no point sending anyone round before then. So they agree to "Put a note in". You guessed it they send the engineer round at 1pm. I start again with calling the "Customer Service Department" 2 and a half weeks, 6 phone calls, 6 engineers visits while I am at work later and I still have a broken washing machine. I fear we are going round in circles. Albert Einstein once said "insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results". Knowhow simply do not listen to anything you have to say, it's exasperating. They have expressed regret and apologise for the "negative impression" yet continue to compound this impression further. Apologies are not going to fix this problem so they are useless to me. I do not need another empty apology I need my washing machine fixed. I think I understand their game plan here. They plan on doing this same dance with me for as long as possible. Making bookings which are impossible, me replying barley able to contain my anger at their incompetences. Until I have no clean clothes left and get the sack from my employment for being a smelly Bam thus leaving me at home all day and at the beck and call of their engineers to swan in whenever suits them. There must be an easier solution. What Customer Service do they actually provide? "Customer Service" All interactions between a customer and a product provider at the time of sale, and , thereafter. Customer service adds value to a product and builds enduring relationships. That sounds wonderful doesn't it?. Here is how I see our "enduring relationship". Two divorced parents arguing about times for visiting our slightly overweight emotionally damaged son. It's the kids who suffer.

90 year old father made to wait 30 mins plus in store for a £90 refund - fitter refused to install his new gas oven, so refund owed for installation cost plus the recycling charge. We took advantage of respite cover for my mother to visit the store at the first opportunity. Firstly, it was said due to the time delay, payment should be either by means of a gift card, or to a bank account. Pointed out that the transaction was in cash, so we wanted £90 cash. The docket from the fitter indicated that no service was provided, but we were asked if the old oven was removed- our answer being no. Check was then made with the that this was the case. I was mightily offended that our word was sought, then ignored. We were about ten minutes in when this confirmation was recieved, and I had already indicated that the time this was taking was totally unacceptable, and that we needed to be somewhere else (which was the case). Second lady took over, I thanked the first for her time and effort, this being totally ignored. Made it clear to the second that we wanted our money and us gone, totally unacceptable etc, to no real effect. I don't swear as a rule, but swore on this occasion. She said she could get the manger down if I wished, although she "was nearly done, and if the manager came, it would take longer". I requested the manager did come, so she got on the phone. We were there for 10 minutes plus, with no manager putting in an appearance, but we got our money, which implies that she wasn't "nearly done" when she had said so. All this was about following Curry's processes/protocols, and absolutely nothing to do with providing decent customer service. At one point it was a caseof " I have to follow the process, my job is on the line". Wonderful - detaoined at Curry's pleasure for 30 minutes plus.

Brought a tumble dryer from currys store in Taunton. It arrived as planned a week after purchasing it and worked once. After discussing this with currys they sent a hot point engineer to look at the machine and told us the circuit board was broken and the machine was not repairable. O.k fine these things happen albeit very inconvenient as my wife had to take a day off work to wait for the engineer. Currys then still will not give a refund until they pick up the machine and state I could try and sell it on after getting a refund so I have to wait another week or take another day off during the week to get it collected then get my money back. Sorry but trying to sell a completely faulty machine which does not even turn on would be difficult at the best of times but to be treated as a potential fraudster to a company who were happy to take my money before delivery sums up there disregard for there customers. This is the last penny I ever spend with these people and hope Argos offer a better after service if it's needed.

i ordered a rangemaster cooker on line to be delivered eight days later when it arrived it had the glass in the door smashed. I refused to accept delivery . Nine days five phone calls two hours on hold and i am still waiting for a call to tell me when / if I will get my cooker no one rings back and the word sorry never uttered. This is the last time we shop at currys as we had problems before, so do yourself a favour and shop anywhere but currys.

I received a damaged fridge freezer, took two days off work to accommodate the original delivery and the rearranged delivery of the undamaged item. No compensation offered and extremely unhelpful poor customer service. The staff in the complaints call centre clearly do not care about the customers.

AVOID CURRYS !!!!!!! Shocking company that refuses to give refunds for faulty appliances. Not the first time I've experienced this with CURRYS. I will warn everyone I know to buy from a major supermarket as there is never any problem with them, £250.00 faulty tumble drier two days old and they expect you to contact hot point

AVOID CURRYS !!!!!!!! SHOCKING. I warned my daughter and everyone I know not to purchase from this dreadful company after buying a camera that took yellow pictures ! Was refused a refund and told that is the design of camera ???? The assistant even took a picture in the car park to prove it had a dreadful fault but was still not reimbursed. My daughter stupidly bought a tumble drier on Sunday, tried it out on Monday to find the filter fills with water. She returned to the store to be told she now has to deal with hot point directly, after phoning hot point they told her as it is only one day old it is CURRYS responsibility, after spending twenty minutes on phone trying to speak to someone on their awful automated voice recognition number the line went dead, my daughter has been in tears trying to sort it out. She works hard and has two young children, she shouldn't have to be making calls writing letters etc. should have bought from tesco they refund without any problem whatsoever
