I ordered a new Indesit Dishwasher on 3/8/15. Delivered and installed by Currys 11/8/15. Stopped filling mid October (bearing in mind I had been away from home in hospital, effectively after only one months use). Since then have been locked in unanswered telephone calls with both hotpoint and Curry's - the service line (which is the same as the one advised by Curry's in their responses below) is permanently engaged, but takes 10 minutes to get there. Emailed indecent 9/12, and had a response on 18/12 asking for details of the model and installation. Answered the same day, but still no response - 5/1. Have now been queuing for 20 minutes to talk to a Curry's customer service (complaints) adviser - the appliance is not fit for purpose, customer support is not as advertised, I fully intend to insist that they remove the appliance and give me a refund - I will never do business with either company again.

Could only get this appliance from Currys. First one did not heat up and second one was so noisy. On contacting Currys initially there was a 20 min wait with the most annoying piano music and a an irritating message of apology repeated every 15 second. (obviously deliberately designed to get people to hang up) On getting through, we were in formed that the item was 'out for delivery' and he could do nothing about it and we would have to call back tomorrow; on objection the agent agreed to call us back the following day. He did and gave us delivery and collection date some 5 days hence. Delivery and collection happened and the replacement machine bumped and rattled. We called back, 10 minutes of annoying music and irritating voice; the agent was very apologetic and professional and arrange collection and a refund. A friend that works for Currys informed me that if appliances were not available for what ever reason then they send out faulty items to keep good sales record. Obviously no concern for their customers. Gave a poor rating instead of a very poor one as their delivery and customer service agent were professional. I wonder if these elements of Currys service are subcontracted.

I am so appointed in currys service,I had a double oven delivered yesterday. I paid £90 as recommended by Currys exact wording " Please note this product should be installed by a qualified engineer, such as one of our Knowhow experts.". I am sorry to say the oven was installed but left not working, The engineers comments were, Contact the manufacturer as there is a known fault with this product. They refused to take the oven back. I have spent hours yesterday trying to speak with Curry's on the numbers provided without success, I emailed a complaint and am yet to hear from Curry's. I want my money back. They left me with non working oven, no copies of delivery note, no instructions or contact number and stated they have spent more than the expected time here trying to get the oven working. and it is my responsibility to get that done by contacting the manufacturers. Why did you charge for such service!!! it is beyond comprehension. I have paid for a service that has not been delivered.

Poor customer service. I purchased a wifi mobile broadband sim starter pack to cover my lack of Internet for a couple of days. I was told that 3G of Internet useage would be ample. Total cost £14.99. I was happy with that. I got home at 2pm and activated it. Started to use the Internet successfully. By 9.03 pm the same day I received an email informing me that not only had I used my internet allocation but had incurred an over useage charge of £104. The provider who are linked to currys have been totally unresponsive to this flagrant overcharging and have refused any help towards reducing this bill. BE WARNED THEY HAVE NO CAPPING SYSTEM AND WILL ALLOW YOU TO OVER USE WHILST THEY CASH IN ST YOUR EXPENSE. Currys customer services have still not replied to my complaint after 3 days. A totally bad experience. The device is back in its box and will not be reused.

Although the staff I have encountered on the numerous occasions I have bought items from curry's have been polite and informative, I have found each and every visit stressful and extremely time consuming. I've always spent a considerable amount of money on various appliances, computers and tv's. Never bought anything on a whim and on most occasions my visit has been to replace an item that has ceased to work. I have never been approached by a member of staff to ask if I need help with anything despite hovering in the same area and attempting to catch their attention. Today was no exception. My daughter and I had decided to avoid the Livingston store thinking service at Glasgow road could only be better. How wrong were we. With a particular laptop already researched, we went to look at the product with the intention of buying if it lived up to expectations. Laptop seen, decision made, we could have been in and out within 10 minutes, product in hand. 30minutes later, we decided to reserve on line, did so and went to the pay desk. We were instructed to return to the laptops and someone would bring it to us. 20 minutes later and a member of staff appeared. 10minutes later, he handed us the laptop. I was almost loosing the will to live(a slight exageration). Said for the umpteenth time l will never be back and here's hoping I have the sense to listen to myself in future.

Outstanding service! On boxing day I ordered a fridge, washing machine, kettle, toaster. The kettle and toaster were delivered within 3 days and we were advised that as it was a 2 man job the fridge and w/machine would be delivered 4/1/16. Then got a text saying delivery between 1620 & 2020 today. Then got a phone call at 4pm to say ETA 15 mins and they arrived at 405pm. Can't get any better than that thank you!

MY Experience trying to order With Currys 29th December NEst Learning ThermoStat Ordered install date given was the 31st, Called on the 31st after taking time off work for the install to be told that they hadn't revived the nest at the depo so wont be installing rebooked install job to Saturday the 2nd Jan at 8am. After getting up at 8am i sat around until around 11am when i got a phone call to tell me the engineer had called in sick so the install wouldn't go ahead, i was at this point i was told no further install dates were available and this guy was in engineering so couldn't do anything for me .they also mentioned they only have 1 person in northern ireland that can do NEST install which is ridiculous for such a large company, i was told someone from customer service would contact me shortly, hours later i still had no contact, i then called back toward the end of the day completely fed up and just giving up. I Asked for a Refund, which i was then told i would need to go into store to get even though i had bought online, after a little too and froing i was told they would indeed now refund me and should get an email shortly. Monday Morning and no email so i called again wasting another haf hour on hold this time i was told there didnt apear to be a refund request on my account, i was told i would get a refund email in 48 hours after complaining i didnt get this last time the girl was able to push it though right away.~ i will never, ever Buy from Currys again, ive wasted so much of my time on this, i had to prepare my house and boiler for the engineer that never came, get models and references from the manual and spent soo much time on the phone to Knowhow I Must admit that the staff i spoke to on the phone Especially today were very plesent but i just dont understand how there is a complete inability to complete such a simple order and install, Know how clearly dont really have any Real presence in Northern ireland and currys clearly do not Value customers. i Wasn't once offered any type of compensation or apology for 2 failed installs in a row then the time it took to get any of my money back. no attempt was ever made to dissuade me from outright canceling and no attempt was made to attempt to complete the install or indeed try and complete as Planned by the time the second one went wrong i expected them to do anything they could to complete my install as quickly as possible nope. Infact when getting a refund i was told if i could give them back the leaflet they had posted me out telling me they were going to install it for me... i told them it went in the bin... All in all ive Wasted a Week of my Life had money held for what will be more than 2 weeks with no product no support and no apology. Althoguh i will now likely be getting my money back in "5 working days" i feel they have just taken my money for a few weeks and done nothing, the cost of calling their customer service line alone is far to much. so ive lost Both money and time on this Daft order. I Cannot Advice people enough to Stay away from Currys and Knowhow, never trust them with an install. so As it now Stands its the 4th of January I've No Product and no money, so i cant even source it from another supplier until they give me they money back.

I bought a new washing machine from a Currys store and paid an extra sum to Currys to have it installed and pick up the old washing machine. The machine was delivered and installed but they didn't change "pipe connection" and they left old one in front my door and did not pick up. Several time call them than and I went to Currys but nobody responsibility. Currys very very very poor customers services. I really disappointed from this company.

Knowhow - Currys is the worse ever company I have encountered. I purchased LENOVO C50 23" Touchscreen All-in-One PC - White + MICROSOFT Office Home & Student 2016 at the price of £578.99 on the 26th December 2015, hoping the product will be delivered next day as promised, so I could fire up and complete my Phd thesis. However, to my greatest dismay, only the computer wad delivered on the 29th, the MICROSOFT Office Home & Student 2016 was not delivered with it . Giving that the MICROSFOT Office Home & Student 2016 was not delivered, I went to their office store closer to my house to seek for a replacement of the non-delivered item so I could start typing my thesis. The lady at the store said she would phone their online store before giving me a replacement as I had purchased the item online. She phoned the online store and they advised her not to give me any replacement item till they have investigated what happened to the shipped one. I was so annoyed, I got home phoned Currys online store myself, the person I spoke with promised that the item will be delivered on the 30th December, alluding the item was at dpd depo closer to my house. I patiently waited, till the 2nd January 2016 yet the item was not delivered. I went on the phone once, this time phoning dpd delivery company myself and enquired what had happened to the item, they told me that my parcel must have been lost in transit and advised me to contact Currys. This time I phoned currys and complained about how I have been ping pong, the lady I spoke with noted my complaint down, promised they would either replace the item or refund my money. I asked her to send me a copy of the complaint she noted to my email address so I could have an evidence of it. She claimed she had sent it, however, to my greatest surprise I checked my email address which I am pretty sure she had the correct one and there was no email from her. So till date I still have not received my item and my money have not been refunded. I am now behind my Phd thesis schedule... I will advise anyone hoping to buy from this company to stay away!!

I wanted to email to let you know what an amazing member of staff you have. His name is James Hughes at your Aintree branch and when I went today to buy a TV it was a pleasure to have him advise my husband and I. His product knowledge was fantastic and he was able to guide us through the myriad of deals and offers advising what the technical detail actually meant. His level of customer service was brilliant and I would highly recommend any friends I have to visit and ask for his help.

Received a coffee machine for Christmas which was scratched and dented, I went back to Milton Keynes and was initially sent to the wrong desk for a return. Not a good start. We waited 40 minutes to be told none in stock but they had a different colour which I didn't want hence why we asked for a white one for Christmas. We then asked if we could order the product and collect at our local store in Loughboroguh, this wasn't possible. Visited the Loughborough store today and it took the girl 15 minutes to even acknowledge me standing there which annoyed me. I had to ask her if she was serving to which she replied 'what is it you want' I replied saying I wish to exchange the coffee machine so she said to go and find the correct one, I then returned to the desk and said I wanted to open the box to make sure there was no dent or scratch on the machine. She looked at her collegue a young girl who was equally useless and unhelpful and replied if you open the box you have to buy it. This is absolutely disgusting, so she is basically saying that if if was dented I would have to take it home with me! She then tried to charge me the new price which I couldn't believe because it was an exchange. These staff need some people skills and customer service training and not to be so rude and unhelpful and it wouldn't help to smile and look they they give s*** about the customer. I spoke to the manager and he said he would be having a word. I shall never buy anything in this awful store ever again.

Bought an integrated dishwasher and paid for installation. Engineers arrived but unable to install as it had a plug and old one was wired directly into wall. Phone rep was rude, telling me I should have read the product specification but the specification said nothing about the plug. New engineers arrived several days later and installed but forget to fix to kitchen unit, therefore when I opened the dishwasher door the whole unit came out. New engineer arranged for a whole week later. Called to say he'd be at the house at 0815 but arrived at 1715 but we had left as I had advised Currys we were out in the afternoon. Re-arranged appointment for another week later when they eventually came and fixed it in. Totally unsatisfactory service. Wrote to Currys requesting refund of installation but they have refused. Would not advise anyone to use Currys installation service and will never use them again.

Reserved an item online but when I went into store the next day I was told there would be a 10 minute wait before some one could bring my items out. Why did I reserve oline when it would have been faster just to grab one off a shelf. There seemed to be a few people waiting on reserved items. To top it all off when I finally got my item and left all the alarms started to go off as they had not deactivated the security tag.

good with taking faulty / unsuitable equipment back but staff are not too well informed about product, one particular sales girl gushed about the dual port / band whatever on a device, when I asked her what that meant see just looked blank and admitted that she didn't know, I go there because I'm lazy it's my own fault I suppose.

Extremely poor service, appalling customer care and insults from staff. I've paid for a new 50 inch Samsung TV and removal of my old TV. The job was supposed to have been completed on 21 December but I'm still waiting for removal of the old TV. Currys have now failed to collect on 3 occasions. The new TV has been left propped up in its box against the furniture in my lounge. It takes up to 30 mins to get through to the contact centre, who frankly can do nothing as the distribution centre seems to be a law unto itself and will deliver or not depending on the whims of the drivers. They came this morning and failed to get out of the Lorry and just drove straight past. They promised they would come the last job and this hasn't happened. Don't trust this company, they don't deliver and don't care.

I ordered a washing machine and paid for recycling. It was delivered on time but the delivery van said it had no room to take the old one and that Curry's would phone me the next day to arrange a pick-up of the old machine. I had to phone them, taking over 15 minutes of my time as their customer service does not have enough employees to deal with queries. They gave me a day and time to collect it and even texted confirmation, but it was not collected. Now I am trying again to have it collected and have been waiting over 30 minutes to speak to the correct department. Will it be collected this time? I doubt if I will ever go to Curry's again for a purchase. JH Stockport
