Do not buy ANYTHING from currys... incompetent & zero cust servc. So far currys have had our money for 6wks, hours of our time wasted and STILL waiting for collection of battered microwave/oven and no refund recieved. * 01/07/20 ordered combi microwave oven * recieved text delayed making delivery 5 wks * 06/08/20 item delivered with 8" dent in back * phoned cust service (long time on hold) told 8 in stock and would send replacement in a week, & conf email would be sent * offered to return and collect via store but told we couldn't as was ordered online!?? * no email recieved * spoke on webchat was told to phone cust service to arrange delivery date, and to click on conversation for transcript of chat to be sent * no transcript recieved  * phoned cust service, after 40mins on hold they hung up * phoned cust service 2x never got through  * emailed cust service, complaints, and ceo ...no reply except to say emails not monitored * spoke on webchat, confirmed replacement ordered but no date and would be contacted within 5 days to arrange delivery * no contact recieved * 12/08/20 phoned cust service, finally got a good adviser with some skill, was told no replacement had been ordered just collection without date, and they jow have no stock, no refund offered until old unit is returned. Cancelled order. * Checked website, still showing available to order online and in store. * told no refund until faulty item is collected on 15/08/20 and then takes time to be processed!!! * went online ordered same item from appliances direct, 15hrs later it is here, fine and installed. Moral of story: buy from ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!!

Currys/PC World are right up there with the worst companies I have ever dealt with. I bought a washing machine which they installed. Within a few months the screen cracked. They fobbed me off to the manufacturer but neither were interested, saying that a cracked screen is cosmetic. This is completely wrong. After all sorts of attempts to get this sorted I resorted to the small claims court. They agreed to mediation but never bothered to answer the phone or respond to the court or my contact after that. They rejected the first court date and this has been dragging on for over 2 years now. I'll put an update once I eventually get to court. I'm quite certain they won't bother turning up given their previous record. Avoid this company at all costs. They shirk all responsibility for faulty goods sold and will deliberately try frustrate the legal process to make you give up.

AVOID CURRYS PC WORLD, CORSTORPHINE IN EDINBURGH. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Unfortunately I have had to give 1 star as it is not an option to give 0. I ordered a printer for guaranteed delivery to this store. There was a rigamarole even getting this far but EVENTUALLY I got an email saying that the printer was in store. I used the outside collection, duly arrived, parked up in a bay and followed the instruction. I got the message saying I was first in the queue which I could see as nobody else was in any of the other bays used by Curry’s. Just me all by myself. I waited and waited and waited. I was reluctant to go in because of the whole point is to reduce risk etc. While I was waiting various curry staff kept popping out, including someone who looked like he might be a manager (because of the shocking way he was speaking down to his colleagues and barking orders). They came out several times, 3 different people and often all together but none with my printer and although I could clearly see them wondering why I was still waiting nobody checked and instead they got back to the very serious business of reattaching some tape to a traffic cone. After half an hour of waiting and being ignored and since other people started joining the queue by now I decided to mask up and went in. Boy oh boy! It’s really difficult to get anyone’s attention. There were hardly any customers in, I would say more staff than customers but despite this I noticed they all have the same technique, that’s is, avoid eye contact at any cost and speed up to get out of the way wherever possible. When I did eventually get someone he mumbled he couldn’t help and pointed me towards the tech desk. The chap here was lovely and tried very hard to help but I suspect his job was technical support. Initially he had the same luck as me in trying to get someone to help. He spoke with 4 colleagues, all of whom, in front of me the customer, brushed him away all whilst still avoiding my gaze completely. Same helpful man then went to try to retrieve the printer despite the fact i that he was not supposed to leave his desk. After an age and lots more unsuccessful attempts at trying to engage other staff members, one lady suddenly remembers that she had incorrectly marked the printer as having arrived but then realised it hadn’t. Apparently some mix up with numbers. Despite realising this it did not occur to her to contact me to prevent me driving from the opposite side of town. She was completely and I mean entirely and unbelievably nonchalant about it as if it wasn’t incredibly rude that, she, being one the first people the helpful guy had asked, could have saved everyone an awful lot of time and embarrassment. The helpful guy was very apologetic meanwhile the rest of the staff, including the Cone Manager, were just standing about looking uncomfortable. By the way while I was standing waiting there were 2 other people who arrived to pick things up and each of them had a complete carry on as well and were a lot angrier than me. I was told nothing else could be done and I would just need to come back once the printer arrived. They assured me they would call the next day to confirm. No prizes for guessing that of course they didn’t call the next day or the day after but they did call on the 3rd day. The printer turned out to be a late present. The gift for me though is that I will never buy from this company again. Their customer service is completely non existent. And I will, as I already have, share my experience with lots of others. I already have and guess what, it seems that the majority of people who have shopped here all have very similar tales

Sent an e-mail to review a product they did not deliver. I could have reviewed an AEG fridge freezer product but Curry’s let me down on this order. I waited 2 weeks for them to give me a delivery date, but then they sent an e-mail informing me it was out of stock waiting to come back in, then I was e-mailed to inform they were not getting it back in stock. On checking Curry’s website the AEG was advertised as waiting on it coming back in stock and the cost had gone up 150 pounds and goodness knows when that would come back into stock. Unfortunely, I went elsewhere and bought Neff integrated fridge Freezer, Curry’s loss.

Been trying to get in touch with some one from currys valet service, to organise a booking to have my oven cleaned. I have sent several messages, only to be told that they would be in touch within 72 hours. Never heard from them again. I keep trying to book using all the ref numbers they ask for, but now I get no response whatsoever. I have written several times asking for explanation and now trying to get my money back. Currys after sales experience has been appalling. I will be getting all my electrical goods elsewhere in future.

Absolutely shambolic delivery service and customer service! I ordered a new washing machine online. The delivery driver came in and initially took a look. He was very stroppy, unprofessional, and kept finding problems, without offering any solutions. In the end, we agreed that he would be able to install the new machine, but I wouldn't be able to use it until an engineer was called out, as there is a part missing from the connection. When I asked him and his colleague to put on some shoe coverings that I provided, they became annoyed and walked out, even though I made it crystal clear a few days prior that they would need to wear adequate shoe coverings. They left me with my old disconnected washing machine in the middle of the room, and all my furniture in disarray. This is disgraceful behaviour. In the end, I was forced to cancel my order, as there was nobody from customer services that could offer a resolution. I would rather give my money elsewhere. Also, the delivery drivers had no care or consideration for Covid. Neither of them wore a mask or gloves.

Ordered a fridge freezer, 4 weeks later I contacted Currys to be informed that my order had been missed. Booked a delivery, brook a half day from work waited for delivery and received updates expecting my delivery then suddenly I was told to call customer service number. B I waited for 28 minutes then Customer Service staff told me that my delivery wouldn’t be taking place as the driver ran out of hours. Nobody called me to let me know. Delivery was 4 days later. I cancelled my order and ordered elsewhere, very very poor service

Never buying anything from Curry’s again. Sold me a SMEG and ovens don’t work, spent weeks trying to get it sorted, phone numbers don’t work, don’t have one contact and they expect me to do their job by running around ringing SMEG. After using them for 20 years on 8 refurbishments never again. Customer service is no existent, don’t want to help and no apology. Situation still not resolved. Wish I had gone to John Lewis!

So my husband brought me an early birthday gift he went first thing this morning to Currys of world Gallagher retail park wednesbury. Opened my present to find a very used smeg kettle! Now with COVID 19 I find this appalling! So I’m hygienic and disgusting! Customer service manager said “ ohh just grab another one” upon returning to the store! No apology no good will gesture. I have always used Currys for all of my appliances but I will never be returning after this. Photos are what I took in store

First of all I wouldn't have given 1 star that is the only way to start. I went into store to order HOMEGUARD - 8-Channel Full HD Wireless CCTV Kit I was told they didn't stock them and couldn't order for me or answer any Questions I had. I had to go online and speak through a video call who answered the questions and told me they were in stock and I would receive it in 3-5 days. I received a thank you email confirming expected delivery in 5 days. on the day I should have received my order the only thing I got was another email asking for feedback. I then spent the following 5 days calling to get information, they could not give me any as this order was coming direct from their preferred supplier that they could not contact by phone and got no response from internal emails. I was lied to saying the order had been dispatched and twice cut off with no follow up call. In the end I had to go into the store, I did get it all explained that they had no way of tracking my order and could not give me any idea if I would ever get it. I cancelled the order in store, they would not refund me and said it would take a further 3-5 days to get my money back. I will never shop with Currys ever again, has to be the worst customer service ever with no system.

Firstly, never buy any item from Curry's that is on sale, where some brands try to reduce their prices to treat their customers to popular products out of their range or budget, Curry's only does so because of faults or complaints with the item to help reduce their stock and quicken sales on products stuck in slow traffic due to their unwanted production lines. They will even train their staff to help to purposely misinform their customers by not mentioning certain defects and low ranks of a product when advising you on what item should best suit your needs and not their wants. This, they have done so to me on many occasions (selling me a laptop with no CD drive, convincing me to buy a camera that was not even close to the profession quality that I required at a ridiculous price...Jessop's assistance is words, not mine). The repair team that most of their customers will eventually need due to the poor condition of the items that Currys choose to promote and market at the front line of their stores, only know one thing true to their name and that is to know how to be a pro at ploughing through your dough (team knowhow). I have previously had to pay to get my laptop sent out to them to assess, only to be told that repairing it would cost me more than the actual laptop itself...even though I purchased the item from their Currys store so the missing parts should not cost them more than the laptop took to produce? Having said that, I have on numerous occasions been warned about doing business with certain individuals from certain countries but have chosen to ignore these bias statements from other's experiences due to my upbringing surrounded upon diversity. However, the more I continue to interact with companies such as "Currys", the more they seem to leave me at an unease after transactions with them that only settles a need to obtain just one wish to blossom and that is a hope that their head chef would change direction with that blend of seasoning already and add some paprika to the cold servings that they like to keep dishing up since that pedigree of culture is known to be too much about their money and not enough about a great service. In advance, all potential customers should be warned that none of Curry's emails are open for communication since they have now been made inactive even though their website states otherwise. Most of the numbers that will be given to you to forward you to a more helpful department since a majority of their staff are working from home so can only provide so much assistance, will either waste all your extra credit or ring until finally disconnected. They currently only have one help line open with a one hour and an half waiting time period mostly and their in store help is no better since the managers claim to have no authority to amend any exchanges or refunds at their till points. Unfortunately they are also not being kept up to date with the communication issues happening online with their support teams and head office since they are still advising customers to seek help from an inoperative transmission line that offers no form of communication in response. Your only option is to write a letter to the main address for Currys but do be warned, there are two different postcodes of these addresses being offered, one is on their website and the other upon their customer leaflets so take your pick wisely or if your me, don't take any chances and just send it out to both ends for no excuses in reply to your already wasted ticks of times flicks on a company not even worth a penny of thought upon its tricks. p.s...one star is even being way too generous in my verdict.

Got a deliver of American fridge. After unwrapping noticed a dent. Called the customer service to let them know and see what the best remedy would be to be told there was nothing they could do and had to go back in store. I told them I was 39weeks pregnant and could not go back in store to be told I was perfectly capable of going in store to buy the fridge so I should be able to go back in now. So furious with response asked to speak to manager and would not put me through to manager. Disgraceful customer service. Very disappointed

All is well until there's an issue.. Purchased a laptop 23/05/2020 due to needing a station to work from home. The laptop had a slight fault (resulting in a bigger fault) in under 14 days of buying the product, the shops were closed so I couldn't return at that point. 20/07/2020 - the laptop is now rendered unusable, screen doesn't work properly. Took it back to the store 21/07/2020 where I was told the only option I had was to send the laptop away, despite the fact I needed it for work, and it could put my job under threat. I left the store with no reference and no information barring that it would be 7-10 days for a return, (incorporating COVID-19 delays). 24/07/2020 - I call up for an update, I had a few texts to say that the product was being picked up by HomeService, although the product was in the store (?!) So I wanted clarification on these texts. The chap at the other side of the phone simply couldn't be bothered to help, and the phone was put down on me after asking a few questions. 28/07/2020 - 7 days now passed, still no more in the light with regards to repair status, reference number etc etc. I called up and spoke with a nice chap, who said that my laptop was due to be delivered to my local store on 31/07/2020, he then proceeded to provide me with a reference number, and confirmed he would put the delivery down as urgent, due to needing it for work, potential loss of earnings & the fact my job is "on the line". Later this day I received a text with the update, stating the laptop will be delivered back on 31/07 and provided a tracking number. 30/07/2020 - no update on either the tracking or repair, still showing as "in progress" with no updates since 23/07. 17.30 this evening I received a text stating there are now delays to my repair, and it won't be delivered on Friday. It also mentioned "we'll let you know a new return date as soon as it is ready to be sent" So has it been repaired? Was there a chance it would've been delivered Friday? Did they say it to shut me up? Why did they leave it until way under 24H before proposed pick up to tell me? Did the Egyptians build the pyramids? How was Stonehenge built? I've a feeling the last two questions are easier to answer.

I selected and paid for a new TV I also paid for delivery and a fixed charge delivery slot. I am one of the vulnerable listed people on the Covid 19 Government list and when my TV broke down I couldn't go out and buy another. I figured Currys would be a good shop to buy one if it could be delivered. Upshot was that the allocated delivery time came and went and the TV still did not arrive. I tried phoning for three days afterwards, patiently waiting for someone to answer. Finally, I cancelled the order and requested my money back. I contacted a local supplier and a new TV was delivered within 24 hours. Moral of the story...buy local - support your local shops and you will get excellent service - with a real person at the other end of the phone (who truly assists vulnerable people during this pandemic).

Ordered 3 laptops on 03/07. Only 2 delivered. Called CS and they begin Lost in Transit Investigation. 7 more calls with the conclusion date CONTINUALLY being pushed back due to incompetent agents..I'm offered 10% off as good will and a new conclusion date. New date passes and another agent tells me the good will gesture has CANCELLED the Investigation so it will have to start OVER AGAIN. My new date...14/08. No one has asked me for any info or pics regarding my partial delivery. No one has sent A SINGLE EMAIL for my records. Either Currys only sent 2 or DPD stole 1 (dodgy DPD labelling on one of the packages) Either way...no one at TeamKnowHow seem remotely competent or interested. They took my money and ran. Do NOT order from this sorry excuse of a retailer.

I needed a fridge for guests coming to stay in 3 weeks. They arranged delivery for two weeks time. When it arrived it had been dropped and was unusable. I rang customer services who said I had to speak to Indesit. Indesit said they couldn't do anything because the fridge didn't have the right serial number. I rang customer services again and was told to go into the shop to arrange a replacement. I did so, but they said this model was out of stock. I enquired about other makes but every one I asked about they said were out of stock. They said I couldn't have one of the display models which were sitting there in the shop. Having waited two weeks for delivery and wasted most of a day trying to get Currys to sort the problem they caused, I ended up with visitors coming in three days time and no fridge. They didn'go out of their way to help me. Thanks for nothing Currys.
