delivery drivers appear to be adopting a 'chuck it in' approach and run. On hearing a crack when getting a washing machine through a set of french doors , promply left faster than a 100 m runner before could check throughly for damage. If you can't treat peoples property with respect then you shouldnt be in the business. wont use them again

I bought a Samsung oven in October 2018, it's now 29th December 2019. The oven is in its 3rd breakdown ( as am I now) and is yet to be fixed so we haven't been able to use it since Saturday 20th December. It 1st broke down in March, then on the 22nd of November...wasn't fixed until 7th December and now again its broke. Went to Curry's, and yes the staff are nice, but didn't solve my problem. So no Christmas lunch for us this year. We are both pensioners, my husband is ill, yet that doesn't matter to Currys. They will gladly take your money, but your literally on your own from then on. Yes we have a team know how plan (by the way, what a pain it is getting through to them) but the oven is still under Samsung warranty, so currys won't do anything for me. But I bought it from them so surely should take some responsibility for the products they sell. The oven is supposed to be repaired on 31st December. I hope so.

Called into my local Curry’s at Teesside park today to purchase a Dyson Hoover and a set of telephones. Picked up a twin set of phones it stated they were reduced to £28.99 saving 40.00 on original price. Checked the price ticket matched the product code on the box and they did. Off I went to the till. The price for phones came up as 48.99. I said to the girl I would go bk and check the price again as I was sure it said 28.99. I went bk checked again and yes it said 28.99. On returning to the till with the price ticked to show her another lady was waiting. She looked at the label and proceeded to read through it. She then said to me I’d picked up the wrong item as the barcodes don’t match. I pointed out I don’t read barcodes as a customer I look at the description and the price and were the product is placed. I pointed out the product code on the box matched the product code on the price label. She just looked at me and said it’s the wrong set of phones. So I cancelled the sale of the hoover and the phones and said I would shop elsewhere. Somewhere I could be more confident the price it was showing was actually what I was going to pay. In this present climate of internet shopping I can go anywhere and spend my money but I do like to shop in store and support local jobs etc. With poor customer service and poor pricing policy’s it makes this more difficult. I have now ordered on line. Curry’s just unwilling too help in any way

There is an obvious flaw in communication between their website and their stores. I will say now early that this issue has been resolved in store and we are satisfied with the outcome. This review is solely describing our customer service experience and to also highlight a big problem with the website/store’s communication and commitments with each other. My partner and I reserved the Nintendo Switch Bundle online which included: - Nintendo Switch Neon (2019) - Pokémon Shield - Nintendo Store £15 Gift Card Online It stated that there wasn’t a store near us stocked this bundle which was unfortunate however there was stock at Currys PC World Staines. We drove 20 Miles to get there specifically for this bundle. When we got there, we were told that the don’t actually have the Pokémon Game in stock. Given that we’d received confirmation of our reservation and it stated that it was ready to collect from Staines, we were quite rightly frustrated and disappointed. The staff there at first didn’t seem to be confident about what had happened nor how to resolve it for us. Alfonso (Customer Service Manager) at first was dealing with it, but it was eventually handed to Adrian (Management Team) who came up with a solution that we felt was satisfactory. We left Currys PC World Staines with the Console, Voucher & a different discounted game, which we’re okay with. The whole ordeal was stressful considering the on-site Customer Service’s initial approach to the problem. It highlighted to us that more training in that department is certainly needed. This all could have been avoided if Currys PC World had a better reservation system in place which accurately showed stock levels at each store. It just seems like an unorganised and poor attempt at a ‘click and collect’ system. From what we heard from staff at Staines, this isn’t the first time a mishap like this has happened which has ended with disappointed customers. Yes, the issue was resolved eventually; but this whole confusing ordeal has left us feeling that we don’t want to buy anything else from Currys PC World in the future.

Hi, I am very happy with the item I bought from Curry's but it was bought on the basis of Amazon and Curry's online reviews. The sales assistant in Crayford was very helpful BUT, after spending some time talking to him, listening to the soundbar in store, the product wasn't available either online or in store! Soooo I went back to my reviews online and found a different item which was showing as available in store yet there were none on display! The assistant, despite being fairly helpful, knew very litttle about the soundbar I wanted to buy. It all ended well but not without an awful lot of effort on my part. Comet (that was!) used to have their staff trained on all their products, pros, cons of each, etc. That is the only reason why I would shop in a real store and not online - and I really want to support local shops which is why I bought from the store. Please, Curry's, if your assistants are spending ages extolling the virtues of a product, back them up by monitoring your stock availability!!

American style fridge freezer delivered today. Two men arrived with it, took off packaging before trying to move thro the front door. The weight was far too much for these guys. They had nothing to put down to protect the floor and consequently managed to dig a gauge in my wood flooring! From my observation they had had no training and were not strong enough to carry such a heavy item.

Be careful about what you buy. Curry is aware of possible software issues but will not let you know of their existence when you buy. And how software problems can generate random errors, they keep silent until you need service for the purchased item. And as the warranty does not cover the sotware side, I wish you success in shopping from the curry.

I will start by saying that I have used Currys successfully many times in the past, but my recent experience has been bad. Our new fridge-freezer was not delivered on the day it should have been; there was no phone call and by the time I realised it was not coming the phone line had closed. I rang next morning and the lady apologised for the lack of phone call, but not for the lack of delivery - the drivers had just run out of hours. She said she could rebook for the following day, in the morning, which I considered acceptable. Luckily I checked online and the delivery had not been booked that day, but for the following one, which I couldn't manage. We cancelled the order at that point and got one the next day through an online firm. We also have a separate issue with Curry's over a 5-year warranty for a washing machine which we thought we had, but which was never implemented. Another story, and hoping for a positive response. Will make sure to post a good report if I'm satisfied! To be fair, I've had good conversations with some of the KnowHow team, though some are very off-hand.

We went into the Luton Currys store in am attempt to not buy online. Found a vacuum cleaner we wanted but couldn't find staff available to obtain one from the stock room as there wasn't a boxed one around. I went to queue at the tills with a photograph of the item and the wife hung around the vacuum cleaner hoping to catch a staff member. There were staff stationed in other areas but refused to help. The item wasn't in stock according to the uninterested till operater. I found it not surprising that he didn't try to sell another vacuum cleaner to us. In that time the wife managed to find out the same from a staff member. Again, no attempt to sell an alternative. Spoke to the manager who apologised but was clearly uninterested. Suggested we go online. Sad to see the staff are so uninterested. Sad also to admit that shopping online would have been a better experience. Not sure I'm going to go back to Currys again....just not worth the hassle.

Recently ordered a telescope that arrived promptly, this was good as a birthday present. Upon inspection it was damaged, I had the online order picked up but this was 2 weeks ago. After numerous calls to currys I have been told that there is a 10 day delay in them booking items in. (This is when a refund/exchange can happen) So even though they confirm they have it, without them "double checking" I'm now a bad uncle for not sorting it early. Still nothing from Currys despite many calls and an email and still none the wiser to when this will be sorted. Thanks Currys, so glad there isn't a comet visible and I'm not having to let my nephew down constantly! I don't normally leave bad reviews but anyone sending anything back in December, don't expect anything until the new year from them.

Just bought a AEG induction hob. The hob on display didn’t point out that you need specific cookware and I have just spent £120 on new saucepans and pans as mine were notvsuitBke fir this hob and displayed error messages. I really think this should be pointed out at the point of sale.

My order was damaged on delivery, and it took 4 phone calls before call centre staff responded to request for collection and redelivery of new oven. lo and behold it was the wrong model! It took over three weeks to get the product we ordered. I send a complaint email to customer services and the reply was sorry it has taken so long to get back to you and hope the matter has been resolved. Not exactly an acknowledgement of all the frustration caused.

Took 20 mins for 2 calls to main office as no one rang back again. Told l would get a time the day before delivery. No call again. Arrived 8am so l had just got up. Driver said delivery was down for around 6.20 am. Poor customer service.

I was buying a TV for my daughters Christmas and told the salesman that I just wanted the TV and no add-ons, with this he tried to sell me a TV stand, sound bar and a wall bracket, l again told him no I didn’t need anything else. The salesman then went and got his manager, who was told the same and proceeded to try and sell me extra cover for the TV and if I took it out I could cancel it a month later, so I’ve got to ask what’s the point of having this extra cover, the manager wasn’t happy because I said no

I have bought several large items from currys over the past few months and have always been happy with the quality of the goods and the delivery until now. I bought a new electric cooker less than 2 weeks ago and within days it was clear something was wrong with the top oven which tripped the rcds in main fuse box everytime it was used. Getting through to customer service was the first obstacle and I was on hold for 50 minutes before the piped music stopped and an advisor spoke to me. Having explained the fault he said no problem we can get that fixed for you, he then said he would transfer me to the engineers who would make an appointment to come out and fix the cooker, if only, I was duly put through only to hear a message saying nobody was available to take my call, I left my name and number but have had no response whatsoever. It's so frustrating. I'll think twice about using currys in future.
