Purchased a vtc5911nb (tumble dryer) which arrived without any fuss on the 31st of December 2015. Wife used it and said it was great but it was noticed that sheets rolled up into a tight twist and wouldn't dry properly. We discovered that the machine had NO reverse spin during the run and bigger items like sheets needed to be taken out and untwisted before continuing the cycle. Phoned Curry's and they passed us to Hoover who then passed us back to Curry's who again passed us back to Hoover...... Eventually got told a replacement machine would come and I did not. More phone calls and refund apparently on the way because they never warned customers that machine had no reverse spin. Told us they would phone back to arrange a pickup date and no call back occurred. On the Saturday we had some washing on and were going to dry some small items when we got a call from Curry's. Their van driver was 15 minutes away and coming to pickup the dryer. Clothes ended up on the radiators and dryer was taken away. Told refund would arrive promptly so we bought a new dryer for delivery a couple of days later which came and is running perfectly. Just checked my banking online and found that the refund has NOT arrived and I will probably get bank charges as a result since I am now in the red. To add insult, Curry's have not updated the stats for the vtc5911nb to include the lack of reverse spin so other customers will also be duped into buying it.

Ordered a tablet/keyboard with currys on 5th November for a Santa Claus present. It was hp pavilion x2. My child opened it on Christmas morning only to find the keypad wasn't working. I brought it back on 28th December and they sent it away for repair to be back the 8th Jan. They wouldn't give me a refund or replacement as they said it was over the 28 days. I collected it again on 8th Jan only to find out the webcam didn't work and it wouldn't charge. I brought it back on the 9th jean only for it to sent away again. The docket said it would be back on 20th Jan. I have rang them and the machine said there was a waiting time of 6mins I have been waiting 20 mins. My child is disappointed as he has not got using his Christmas present. Maybe it will be fixed in time for Easter and we can say it is a present from the Easter bunny. I will never buy anything from this store again please don't you either!

Awful experience, I bought a new cooker and it has been delivered damaged twice in two weeks and then I have to wait for the third without a compensation, they said sorry but it is not enough, it is simply awful.

Order a gas cooker for an 87 year disabled lady to be delivered on Monday 11/01/16. Supposedly in stock item - website on Sunday 10th said item to be delivered on 11th. At 10.30 website info vanished and after calling customer care number, I was told this was not happening - no reason why - very rude and unhelpful - no Manager available to talk to either. A text to my mobile followed about an 1 hour later informing me that delivery would now be Monday 18th - no explanation or apology and no call back from Customer services. After talking to the Ladys' carer we agreed to have this delivery and once again, checked last night on website. Delivery confirmed for today between 14.35 and 18.00 so again, another day of work to help with this delivery. Checked website @ around 9.am and a message was now left there stating - WE NEED A QUICK CATCH UP ABOUT YOUR DELIVERY - PLEASE CALL 03445611234. After calling this number i was told again - sorry your delivery is not coming we have no stock !!!! Absolutely disgraceful service - no phone call and if i hadn't checked online, we would have been waiting again. No response from two emails sent, no phone calls, no nothing - USELESS CURRYS !!!!!

Went to local shop to buy a tablet. Female assistant kept pushing various add-ons despite me telling her many times I wasn't interested. Given I had made it clear, she still insisted on giving me the spiel with the comment I'm only explaining it - a bit rude. Got to the point if she said one more word, I would have shopped elsewhere.

I purchased an lg55uf680v smart TV from St Andrews quay in hull, when I got home I realised it was to big for my room and was making my daughter feel ill. After 2 days I went in and explained my issue and asked if I could have a refund, I was told that because I had opened the box that I couldn't return it. I asked to speak to the manager who told me the same thing. I wasn't even offered a smaller set or a bit less money on the refund as I had opened the box. I will now have to sell it privately. I have bought items in the past from curry's and haven't had an issue, but at almost £700 this leaves a bitter taste. I will go to currys again but only to look at something before buying it online cheaper. Regards

Bought a Samsung television from the Weybridge store yesterday. The salesman asked whether we would like their Knowhow Plan and explained that for £7.90 we would be covered for repairs etc. for 5 years. I asked whether it was a one-off payment and he said it was. Driving back home I looked at the Plan and discovered that it was actually a direct debit payment of £7.90 per month for 10 months, and then we would get the cover for 5 years. This is an overall premium of £79 which we would not have agreed to. We were deliberately MISSOLD this plan and now have the big bother and frustration of cancelling it!!

Ordered an American style fridge freezer on Sunday for delivery on Tuesday the 12th January as per their website, only to be told upon payment confirmation that they are unable to deliver until Friday (very frustrated at this point) . All delivery dates on their website were incorrect as advised by their customer services when I phoned to check on my order!! After a week of waiting the delivery finally arrived BUT was told at the door that they only deliver to door step and not inside and delivery men returned the fridge with very bad attitude and maner, saying that for safety reasons and their policy they don't deliver inside. Nowhere does this say on their website!! After complaining to customer services, who were of no help and were only able to rearrange the delivery for next day with no guarantee that it will be delivered inside .... very dissatisfied, disappointed and unhappy with currys. Not buying anything with them again.

I have just contacted the call centre in relation to know how policies I have with them, after holding for 15 minutes ny call was answered and after giving advisor my name and informing him of my issue I was informed that I would have to be transferred as he could not deal with this or give me another number to call. I informed him that I called the only number on the internet for them and I was not prepared to call another number and be on hold again and asked to speak to a manager, as I was on the review site and was not prepared to be passed from 1 department to another as other customers were, after about 5 times of asking I was put on hold for a manager. The manager finally came to the phone and asked my name, by this time was very angry as had already given it to advisor, and explained issues to him, who informed me he had to contact another department, again on hold, he then came back and informed me what the 2 live policies were for, I asked if any paid up policies were showing and we got into as heated conversation and I was asked to provide information about these but I stated that he was looking at a computer with this information. I had enough of this person and asked him to put me through to the correct department to allow me to speak to them and on 2 seperate attempts he could not put me through this department and the first time he blamed a syztem error. As I type this I am still on hold to speak to this department and this is 1 hour and 20 minutes. Come on Currys what type of service is this to give your best asset, YOUR CUSTOMER, I think I will be taking my business elsewhere as I dont think I canget any worse customer services.

We ordered a washer dryer for our tenant, who has been without a washing machine for two weeks now, thanks to Curry's. We paid for it to come on a Saturday, when we had time off work to let the fitters in. We waited in the car outside the flat for 5 hours as we had been given a 10.00 until 14.00 delivery slot. It did not come and the delivery tracker randomly changed to the next Tuesday, having informed us it was on its way already. We called customer services and had to wait on hold for almost half an hour and then spent another 40 minutes on the phone trying to resolve this issue, racking up a high phone bill. We were given no reason why this had happened, and no effort was made to rectify it, other than being given another extremely reliable 4 hour slot. We were then PROMISED and GUARANTEED that the washer dryer would come on Tuesday. My partner's mother has taken a day off work just to wait for it, now only to be told it is being delayed until Friday. Again, no reason has been given. This is absolutely appalling. They have now wasted 4 people's time and money and the tenant is now on our back about it. It is unacceptable. The past two times, I have ordered with Appliances Online and they have been EXCELLENT. They have come exactly when they say they will and even ring you 40 minutes before to let you know they are on their way to you next. The only reason we used Curry's is because my partner organised it. We will not make the same mistake again. Use AO, don't use Curry's, even if it works out cheaper. It will probably work out more expensive in the long run when you are having to reimburse launderette bills, pay for people's petrol and racking up huge phone bills, trying to follow the equally as useless complaints procedure who have offered us a mere £20 compensation and then rudely told us to take them to the small claims court if we weren't happy. Reading through, it seems that a lot of people are having bad experiences with Curry's. This is NOT good enough.

Reserved an Apple iPod Touch at my local store to collect and pay next day. Arrived and presented my printed copy of order and reservation number. An assistant said he would collect from the store as I waiting at till. The item arrived and was handed to the cashier at the till. I paid my £149 and left the store. All good so where is problem I hear you say... After Christmas my wife asked.....please to you have the receipt cause I have not opened it and would like to exchange it for an I pod touch... that's what I bought you I said.. no you have an Apple I pod nano @£119. We checked the original reservation and also THE TILL RECEIPT stating I purchased the Touch @ £149. Now I accept the wrong item may have been picked up from the store but why did the till operator not spot it and why would it ring through the barcode till as an I pod touch. Make your own mind up. Make sure what you order is what you collect. I will shop at my slightly more expensive independent next time.

Ordered a fridge freezer to arrive on Sunday morning and had text off currys to arrive between 7am and11am. No sign of the item at 12 o'clock so I phoned and spent 40 minutes on the phone passed to 3 different people. When it did turn up it was left in the middle of the kitchen unopened even though currys say we'll unpack your product and dispose of the packaging for you. Customer service very poor

I purchased a washing machine in mid -November from Currys. The machine arrived on the correct day and was installed. However the machine was faulty (wouldn't drain, spin or complete a cycle!). So I called Currys, and there the nightmare begins... It took about 3 days to get through to someone because (a) the call waiting times are around 20-25 minutes and even then you may not get through (b) the only option for dealing with a faulty machine on which you need a refund takes you through to the manufacturer - who then tells you that you have the wrong number (c) if you eventually get through to a Currys person, you are told they are the wrong person. Eventually I get through to someone who can help me. I have to go back to the inside of the washing machine and copy down the serial number. I'm not near the machine so have to do this and call back. After many failed, frustrating attempts I get through to someone at the call centre. The refund is sorted out and I'm told I will be called back to arrange a collection date. No one calls back. 4 days later I again go through the ordeal of trying to get through to someone at the contact centre. Eventually I do. They tell me the collection should have been arranged at the time of the refund and that no one had been scheduled to call me back. He arranges for collection of the washing machine. It wont be for over a week. Eventually they come and take the machine. A few days later I get a text saying I will be getting my refund. It is now December 15th. A month after getting the washing machine. I wait for the refund. Nothing. Eventually I call up on December 24th I also send and email to customer services. After much too-ing and fro-ing I'm told I will be refunded by the end of the day and that I'd get a call back to confirm. Surprise, surprise, no call. I get a response to my email on 26th December saying I would be getting my refund. After Christmas I check my account, no refund. I've been checking every day and STILL NO REFUND. I write back to Customer services on 2nd January asking where my refund is. No reply. I'm still waiting. Currys YOU ARE APPALLING. I will never ever buy anything from this store again. Nothing. Not only have you failed to refund money that you owe me - and have admitted you owe me - your customer service is non-existent. Its not just about the sale. The service is critical too. Take a look at John Lewis - that's how professionals operate.

I ordered a new Indesit Dishwasher on 3/8/15. Delivered and installed by Currys 11/8/15. Stopped filling mid October (bearing in mind I had been away from home in hospital, effectively after only one months use). Since then have been locked in unanswered telephone calls with both hotpoint and Curry's - the service line (which is the same as the one advised by Curry's in their responses below) is permanently engaged, but takes 10 minutes to get there. Emailed indecent 9/12, and had a response on 18/12 asking for details of the model and installation. Answered the same day, but still no response - 5/1. Have now been queuing for 20 minutes to talk to a Curry's customer service (complaints) adviser - the appliance is not fit for purpose, customer support is not as advertised, I fully intend to insist that they remove the appliance and give me a refund - I will never do business with either company again.

I am so appointed in currys service,I had a double oven delivered yesterday. I paid £90 as recommended by Currys exact wording " Please note this product should be installed by a qualified engineer, such as one of our Knowhow experts.". I am sorry to say the oven was installed but left not working, The engineers comments were, Contact the manufacturer as there is a known fault with this product. They refused to take the oven back. I have spent hours yesterday trying to speak with Curry's on the numbers provided without success, I emailed a complaint and am yet to hear from Curry's. I want my money back. They left me with non working oven, no copies of delivery note, no instructions or contact number and stated they have spent more than the expected time here trying to get the oven working. and it is my responsibility to get that done by contacting the manufacturers. Why did you charge for such service!!! it is beyond comprehension. I have paid for a service that has not been delivered.

Although the staff I have encountered on the numerous occasions I have bought items from curry's have been polite and informative, I have found each and every visit stressful and extremely time consuming. I've always spent a considerable amount of money on various appliances, computers and tv's. Never bought anything on a whim and on most occasions my visit has been to replace an item that has ceased to work. I have never been approached by a member of staff to ask if I need help with anything despite hovering in the same area and attempting to catch their attention. Today was no exception. My daughter and I had decided to avoid the Livingston store thinking service at Glasgow road could only be better. How wrong were we. With a particular laptop already researched, we went to look at the product with the intention of buying if it lived up to expectations. Laptop seen, decision made, we could have been in and out within 10 minutes, product in hand. 30minutes later, we decided to reserve on line, did so and went to the pay desk. We were instructed to return to the laptops and someone would bring it to us. 20 minutes later and a member of staff appeared. 10minutes later, he handed us the laptop. I was almost loosing the will to live(a slight exageration). Said for the umpteenth time l will never be back and here's hoping I have the sense to listen to myself in future.
