Don't know where to start so think its best just to say to potential customers of Currys there is a reason why their reviews are so bad and to take note. Usually items purchased are expensive so for peace of mind IMO you are best going to a company that have a positive feedback

I would enter a minus star if it was an option. My parents had a freezer delivered 6 months ago and the delivery men dropped the freezer and badly damaged their wooden floor. After spending over a hundred pounds on their very expensive telephone number and having to source four quotes for a new floor (should have been 2 but currys lost the first 2), sending in photographs and doing everything they asked, they were finally sending someone out today between 11-3. My parents have waited in all day and guess what.....no-one turned up!!! This company is a joke and they should all wear clown masks!

Very poor returns. Queues for returns at Cheltenham branch very frustrating. Many staff in store seemingly doing very little. Staff on tills with no customers not willing to help Ben on the returns desk was having to deal with all returns, collections and repairs. He was so hard working The customers queuing for returns were all so angry, some declaring they will never shop at curry's again. This was Tuesday morning, not a busy Saturday.

Ordered wash machine 28th Jan Was delivered with a party missing 29th Jan Called know how who reported it Called them again because I hadn't heard anything about what they were going to do to fix it They report its been ordered Called again a week later as I hadn't recoded part They said it wasn't available for a couple of months They then reported they couldn't order me a knew one as they had to speak to engineers on Monday (it was a Saturday) Then said they would defiantly call me Monday to check it had been sorted, they did not call me. Then got a text saying a reference number on 16th Feb for me to get a new one, I have been on hold 28mins now waiting to speak to the correct person, after being transferred to several people who couldn't help me. Never ever buy anything from Currys the customer service is truly terrible

Bought a TV 3 months ago from her the pixels went they removed it to the warehouse and refused to repair it said it was damaged intentionally bearing in mind it was on the wall and I have no little ones. I went to bed on Thursday night and TV was off until I came in on Friday afternoon in that state. The delivery driver was very rude and arrogant and said he was told he was picking up a 42 inch when its 65 laid the TV down on its screen on my sofa banged it when he took it out and uncovered in pouring down rain I am absolutely livid ive seen loads of posts over the pas few weeks how bad the TV these are selling are now I know why and will not be buying from here agan!!!!

This is what it's like ordering a washing machine from Currys. Delivery drivers arrive. They proceed to:  1. Initially refuse to install the washing machine, saying they had only been booked to deliver, forcing me to call Currys to sort it out (installation had already been paid for) 2. Crash their delivery van into the washing machine they were delivering, damaging it  3. Speak very rudely to both myself and each other on numerous occasions  5. Tell me they only had 10 minutes to be off site (how can they deliver, install, check, and remove that quickly?)  6. Spend less than 30 seconds hooking up the new machine,  failing to notice their was an issue with the water line connection.  7. Initially refuse to take my old machine away forcing me to call Curry's to sort it out (again) 8. Did not check machine was working, only pointing at it slowly spinning and saying "that means it works", ultimately leaving me with a non functioning machine  Several days later another driver arrived to look at the machine. He proceeded to:  1. Angrily berate me for not having answered the phone when he called "20 times" (he was calling the wrong number in spite of both my landlord and myself separately calling Currys to give them my mobile number and their call centre assuring me it was "in the notes."  2. Tell me how the first crew that delivered my machine must have been "Asians/Indians"  3. Tell me he wasn't racist before complaining about how angry it made him when he delivered to people who couldn't speak English properly. About two weeks later Currys agreed to deliver a replacement machine between 1:00 pm and 4:59 pm. They didn't show up. At 6:00 pm, when the delivery had still not arrived, I called in and was told that the drivers were "stuck on another job" but they were sending out another van to finish off various jobs and that I would receive a call on my mobile within 20 minutes. I never received a call. Around 7:45 pm, the driver apparently arrived, called my elderly landlord's number, and began yelling at him about my no longer being there. My landlord pointed out that he was almost 3 hours late, and he became verbally abusive. My landlord asked him to discontinue his verbal abuse and the driver hung up on him. Delivery was rearranged for a couple of days later between 16:00 and 17:00. Instead, the delivery drivers arrived at approximately 3:00 pm. When I explained on the phone that they were early, and I wasn't there, they told me that they didn't know why they had been sent, since their shift ended at 16:00 and that I would have to reschedule again. I refused to accept this, and he eventually reached an agreement with his depot to return. When the delivery men arrived they proceeded to initially refuse to install the washing machine or remove the old machine, saying they had only been booked to deliver. Pretty incredible when you consider they were delivering/installing a replacement.  I emailed Currys describing my experience and asking for compensation for the inconvenience and additional costs that resulted, but not only did they refuse, they also refused to even discuss it with me further since my landlord had purchased the machine (I'm the one that was repeatedly inconvenienced). You might save a bit of money buying from Currys, but I think it's worth asking yourself what your time and aggravation is worth. John Lewis will be the ones getting my money.

Poor online and Customer Service I purchased a camcorder and care plan before Christmas on sale. It was never delivered and Currys didn’t known when it could delivered. I was annoyed and cancelled the order. At the time of cancellation Currys agreed to send £20 voucher. It shame that Currys refunded the cost of camcorder and not the care plan. I had to call again to asked care plan refund. Agent was told me the refund has been processed. After two weeks no money received. Call again today to find out. I was surprised by the irresponsible answer received. I was told it will take 20 to 30days to receive the money over post. The reason for that was it was cancelled from store. I cancelled over the phone. But on the system shows from Store. When I asked, if it was on store, why it could not refund on my credit card instead of a cheque. The agent could not answer it. But repeats the same dialog again and again. Also not received any voucher too. Currys become untrustworthy store now a days. Currys Website says Cancelling an online or phone order cannot be processed in store.

The worst, most disrespectful, dishonest customer service I've ever received. Short version is: bought an oven which has broken four times in 8 months, once on Christmas day. We've tried to complain so many times it's unreal, all letters, emails etc have been ignored and unanswered. Have been refused access to a manager on the phone, lied to about my rights and told my own oven hasn't actually broken four times, by curry's employees. Spent fifty quid on a phone bill (over Christmas, mind you!) trying to sort it, took five days off work to wait for various engineers and they can't even find it within themselves to say "Sorry we ruined your Christmas"? We'll be following it up with ADS. Never, ever, ever shop there - there are better electronics shops out there!

I have a very long story to tell about the horrible experience i have had after sending my Acer laptop for repairs under warranty. It was sent back to repairs for a small issue - the laptop has intermittent charging issues, which was seemingly due to the power supply cable being loose in connection to the laptop charging socket. I had explained it to the person at KNOWHOW counter at Currys in High Wycombe and even showed it to him so that they correctly understand the issue. It came back from repairs on the 13th of Jan, with a letter inside the package that they had taken great care in resolving the issue and their quality assurance had done a through test to see that everything was working properly. I brought the laptop home and found the issue with charging was still. I called the KNOWHOW centre which took me good 30 minutes to get to them, and the person on the call checked the records and told be that they had rest the software on the laptop and installed the required drivers and had done nothing with the power supply problem. They assured that they will solve the actually issue within 4 days of the laptop coming back to them. I sent the laptop again for the repairs around 18th Jan and now they are waiting to receive the powersupply, and hence till date the laptop is lying with them. Called them many times, each time with them on the phone for hours , moving the call from tech support, to after sales support . On 2nd Feb, someone from after sales finally acknowledged that they could not provide a date for the fix , hence they were willing to exchange the laptop with a new one or process a refund. She was willing to take the order for the replacement, but since the same laptop was not in sock, I was asked to order another one for a similar price and if new laptop was more expensive , then I would have to pay the difference. Hesitantly I agreed for the same and told her that I will check what is on offer on the currys site and then order the new laptop. After selecting the laptop, I called them again. I had to explain the whole story repeatedly. Finally the person on the call agreed to process the refund told me that the money should be in the bank in 2-3 days. Luckily, before buying the new laptop I called KNOWHOW to confirm through an email that the refund is being processed so that I have a proof of refund coming in before buying the new laptop. Not to a big surprise, the lady on the call pretended to find no history of refund going through and I had to be on phone with her for another 30 min explaining the case. She promised to call back in a "few" minutes.. - NO call back I call again which I am still on - my phone shows the call duration to be 1 hour 20 minutes and I am listening to music..... SUch a frustrating experience .... dont buy from CURRYS is not honest advice.

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. Do not touch Currys, Know How or Indesit with a barge pole. My story is too long to put down here, but bought a dishwasher 2 days ago. Spent 6 hours and 2 mornings on the phone trying to locate someone to come and sort a problem out. Indesit pass you to Know How. Know How pass you to Currys. Currys pass you to Indesit/Hoover. And round and round you go. No-one wants to take responsibility for the fault. All they keep barking on about is a £54 odd call out charge should it not be a genuine fault. Worst shopping experience in my life. Stressed to the point of suicide. Hate these companies with a vengeance. If you do not want to go through what I have gone through this last couple of days, DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM CURRYS. Do yourself a favour and spread the word and save yourself a shed load of worry. There isn't a rating to give, so one star it has to be but on a scale of 1 to 10 it is minus a thousand!!!!

Absolute farce!! Ordered a washing machine on Saturday told it would be delivered Wednesday in the time slot we paid for, didn't pay for removal of old machine, Wednesday came and I waited and waited got to the end of the time slot so I checked my phone, delivery driver had left a message to say they had broken down and would deliver the next day, well I couldn't t guarantee I would be there so went in to Currys to tell them I needed to change the day ( tried phoning but couldn't get to speak to a person! ) They changed the day to Friday and said they would take the old machine away for free as compensation for not delivering on time, next day Thursday the machine turned up! luckily I was in, so they fitted it not very well either! as they went to leave I said you have to take the old one away, no way said the driver its not on my pad and anyway we don't have room on the van errrrr you've just taken one of the van so there must be room! No they just left, so back to Currys to complain and they said it would be picked up Friday, waited all afternoon and eventually they turned up. ...with another washer!!, obviously there is no communication between Currys and the dispatch department! As for the fitting of the machine, it wasn't level, they didn't fit the new hose which it clearly states in the handbook they should, and as the one man was trying to fit it into the space I asked where his mate was to give him a hand and he said probably texting his wife! The whole 3 days!!!! have been a complete farce! Wouldn't recommend Currys delivery and install to Anyone! !!!

Absolutely disgusting service. I have had to wait 13 days for know how (know f*** all) to come and see to a broken washing machine. That isn't customer service when you have already paid up front for cover. They never respond to emails, they just send a generated response and then ignore you. My machine better be fixed tomorrow or I wont let your employee out of my house. DONT USE THIS COMPANY

I purchased a dishwasher from Currys and it was delivered with water & grease inside. It was so smelly. We did't even bother connecting it and the next day I called the customer service to arrange a refund and I've been sent backward and forward and they are refusing a refund despite their policy of returning items within 21 days no questions asked. I have written to them by post, emailed them, called them 30 times and also visited the store 4 times. Don't ever buy anything from Currys their customer service is so poor its unbelievable. I have now reported them to consumer rights.

Washing machine under know how 5 year care plan still not fixed or replaced since December. Engineer came to try and fix it on the 30 December but couldn't work out what was wrong. Engineer now not coming again with another part to try until 29 January! Care plan says they will fix or replace washer within 21 days. Complained to customer services who say it is not their fault it is because they have 3 million customers and numerous different timeframes on care plans. Apparently I am not the only person requesting washer to be fixed/replaced and I must wait in the queue to be contacted to find out what will happen next which will be at least another 72 hours.

I've just received a long awaited email - "We’re pleased to confirm your refund. The amount of £.... will be refunded shortly, as follows. We do hope you’ll choose to shop with CURRYS again soon." Um, no, I won't be shopping at Currys again, not soon, not ever. This e-mail comes 2 WEEKS AFTER my telly was collected for return after having it back from a repair without the stand that it went into repair with. Just checking my account and having received the e-mail, I STILL haven't been refunded, ONE WEEK after confirmation the telly had been received at the depot and my I would be refunded by next day (Tues 19th Jan). I received the telly on 3rd Nov, within a couple of weeks of minimal use the telly packed up, no picture only sound. It was returned to Carmarthen, a week later it was still awaiting the part, 2 weeks after taking it in I could collect it. I took it home and the stand was missing "No problem!" I was told on the 29th or 30th of Dec "I'll send another one, it will leave us on New Year's Day". Over a week later no sign of it, when called customer services there wasn't one in stock and I was accused of lieing about the missing stand, if there was none in stock why did the previous bloke say there was and it would leave on Jan 1st? I was then told I couldn't go to any of my closest stores to collect a replacement telly (all are over an hours drive for me but I was prepared to do it, to finalise things). So because I then had to wait for the telly to arrive before all the was sent (probably another couple of weeks!) I decided to go for the refund. Telly was collected on 11th Jan, on the 18th I was told it had arrived and I would be refunded on the 19th, here we are on the 24th and still not in my bank!! NO, I WILL NOT BE VISITING YOUR COMPANY AGAIN, and neither will anyone I shall be telling of my experience!

Bought a dishwasher from Curry's. Paid a considerable fee for delivery, fitting and removal of old dishwasher. Asked sales staff if I had to do anything. Answer was "No, the engineer will sort everything out". First delivery date was not possible.Spent 25 mins on hold before I could rearrange delivery. Unfriendly 'Engineer' and mate arrived 30 mins late in a beat up white van , pulled out old dishwasher and announced that the original water pipe wasn't long enough so he couldn't fit the DW. Couldn't understand why a decent firm wouldn't carry spare pipes in their van but they didn't so I had to tour the local DIY stores to get a longer pipe PDQ while they waited. Managed to get a rather long replacement which 'Engineer' fitted but didn't cut to fit so there is plenty of spare pipe. Took original pipe with him so I cannot be sure that wouldn't have fitted. 'Engineer' then stated that electric cable wouldn't reach plug socket and suggested that we used an extension cable. Not very happy about the safety of this idea, but when dishwasher was fitted the cable reached the plug socket with plenty of length to spare. Began to wonder about water pipe. Engineer left without testing the dishwasher. Sales staff at Curry's had assured us that test would be done. Contacted Knowhow and, after 15mins, on hold was able to register a complaint. Received a totally unsatisfactory reply by e.mail today with no offer of payment for the pipe,my petrol or my time.
