Terrible company, as are their other ones, PC World. Uninformed know nothing staff operating along much the same lines as Argos. See my Argos review about buying up manufacturers old model stock. Do all your homework first before venturing into a Currys or PC World store.

Avoid Currys. I ordered a machine from Currys and paid for them to deliver it, take out the old one and install it. They couldn't take out the old one and it took nearly 3 months for them to take away the new machine they hadn't installed and a further 3 weeks to issue a refund. After many phone-calls they offered a "goodwill" payment of £20 but two weeks later there's no sign of it and they haven't responded to recent emails. They are useless to the point of immoral.

Terrible after sales, cosmetically damaged appliance delivered which I had to spend hours over several days on the phone trying to get a replacement, only after demanding a refund did they start making calls to the manufacturer on my behalf. Apparently I had to have an uplift number from Rangemaster before Currys could do anything. Never called back. I have ended up getting one elsewhere and am now awaiting a refund/collection.

My son purchased a TV, fridge freezer and washing machine to go in his new flat, was told it would be delivered Monday 5th Feb, then gets call saying truck broke down and cannot deliver until the following Monday. This is no way to run a business and the diabolical way you treat customers

Attempted to buy Lenovo Tablet at Cribbs Causeway Branch. 1st assistant excellent and informative, having made decision to buy returned to section, where original assistant was serving another customer. Asked if help required to be told would be added to queue. Will use different branch in future

We brought a tv 2 years ago and paid extra for the extended warrenty, the other week the tv kept turning off and on continually so we rang Currys up.team knowhow collected the tv and fixed the fault and sent the tv back when it arrived the delivery men opened it and it was completely smashed it had been done in the warehouse! it's been a nightmare getting any information we've even been in to the store twice. a couple of days ago we had a email to say the tv had been fixed and a date it would be back. it's so far been 17 days without a tv and then we be left with a tv that I can only describe has reconditioned, if we wanted a reconditioned tv we could have brought one second hand for less than half the price! also customer service is shocking!

I ordered a Washing Machine on 6/11, put up with 3 failed deliveries, average 40 minutes wait for each call to @Teamknowhow & they don’t call you back even when they assure you that they will. In frustration I visited the stores on 2/12, cancelled my order and was promised compensation, none recd. Another customer was there too with a similar complaint to mine. No compensation received yet. I lost 3 half days of my annual leave and was without a washing machine during Xmas. I will never use Currys again. In contrast my experience with OA was exemplary. It's the first time I have used them and it won't be the last. They delivered and installed my washing machine exactly as per order and sent me accurate and regular notification texts. Great service.

I ordered an oven from Currys on 29/12/2017. The money went off my credit card the same day. I received a text on 16/01/2018 to say the oven would be delivered within the next three days. When the oven didn't arrive I tried to track it but it seemed my customer reference number didn't have the required number of numbers. I called the customer helpline (which also didn't recognise my reference number). When I finally managed to get passed the automated reply, it rang for so long, I gave up. I emailed customer service and got a reply five days later to say the oven was out of stock and they didn't have an availability date. I have asked for a full refund. To add insult to injury I received an email the following day asking me to rate the product!!

Dear Sirs On 08 Nov 2014, I purchased a Candy Washing Machine/Dryer from Currys/PC World, Mahon Point, Cork. The cost of the machine was €449.99. Currys/PC World offered Product Support Insurance called Knowhow Coverplan offering “Protection against mechanical breakdown”, “We will fix it or replace it” and a “14 day repair promise” after which “you may request a replacement product”. The cost of this insurance was €89.00 for a 5 year guarantee. Being a working mother with 3 children, I purchased the insurance in good faith and believing that I would be guaranteed an operating machine for at least 5 years, with a 14 day repair promise. My machine broke down last October and the case was first logged on 29th Oct 2017, reference 17756. To date, I still have not had the machine repaired or replaced. During this time, I have had to do all my washing and drying in public machines and wait in cold car parks for the machines to finish. And I have a lot of washing with 3 children and very little time as I work full time. This is also an expensive way to do laundry. It is now nearing 3 MONTHS since my machine broke down and I have exhausted every effort in contacting you and your service company to try to have my machine repaired or replaced. Your guarantee states that the machine will be replaced if you cannot repair it within your 14 day specified period. Yet I still have no repair and no replacement. I wish to formally request that you replace this machine immediately. I request that you have this installed with 10 days of this letter or I will be forced to take a case against you in civil court. I have all the necessary paperwork to lodge with my solicitor and he will be seeking additional damages for the breach in contract, the loss of use, the financial costs, the additional time wasted and special damages for the distress that this has caused me. I am also considering complaining to the FSPO, the Consumers Association and “Which?” magazine regarding the dreadful treatment I have received. Relevant details pertaining to this case are on the next page. Yours sincerely Daniela Balint Brief Diary of Events: My machine broke down last October and the case was first logged on 29th Oct 2017, reference 17756. To date, I still have not had the machine repaired or replaced. 29/10/2017 - Breakdown logged. Currys issued the case reference: 17756 14/11/2017 – First visit from repair engineer (Maurice – 087 910 1735); he said that he needed to change the heating element (or at least he was 95% sure that this was the problem) but he needed to order a new heating element. 27/11/2017 – Repair engineer changed the heating element, and stated that washing machine is working. 29/11/2017 – On first use after repair, while the machine was in the spinning cycle, the machine made terrible noise and just stopped without draining the water. 30/11/2017 – called the engineer he promised he would come the next day 1st of December 01/12/2017 – engineer never came, called him in the afternoon he said he forgot 04/12/2017 – engineer came; checked the machine; said that he needs to change the pump also, he said that the flashing lights show that the heater is faulty, and said that his company is specialised in Samsung and Bosch and he doesn’t have experience on Candy machines. He told me they will order the parts and he will call when the parts arrive. 11/12/17 – called the repair service company (021 4273796), they said that Sean ? is still checking with UK… they sent Candy a technical query email and Candy haven’t come up with solution (txt message saved) 13/12/2017 – I went to Currys PC World in Mahon Point, where I bought the machine, in the hope that maybe somebody can help. Tracy at their KnowHow customer service said she would have to reopen a case. After asking the manager to help me he was dismissive and said that there was nothing he could do. Tracey told she can’t get KnowHow on the phone. I was waiting for more than half an hour. I left. After 20 min she called me that finally she contact KnowHow and she gave me a new reference number (18317 , service nr C4250908)), and told me if no one calls me after 3 days to go back to her. 18/12/2017 – nobody contacted me so I went to Curry PC again. I was told they don’t have an update and lines are busy at the moment, but they will call me. 21/12/2017 – nobody contacted me again, so I called Knowhow Customer service 1800303100. I was told that the replacement request had been rejected because nobody reported that the washing machine is still not working. So they opened a new case (same ref. nr. 18317), and because of Christmas period there was nothing they could do until 5th of January. 04/01/2018 – went again to Currys PC World. They promised to call as soon as they got an update, I got a call later from David who told me that the engineer will call next day 5th of January 05/01/2018 – nobody came 09/01/2018 – called Knowhow on 01 8781640, they put me on hold while they contacted the service dept. They told me that the reason why the engineer hadn’t come was because they still hadn’t received the parts. So maybe next week………………

Bought Double Cavity Cooker from Currys/PC World in store in Crayford and the door came off literally in my hands 3 months after buying it in store. Called BEKO as on the receipt after one month I have to call them for a repair. After waiting 25 minutes to speak to BEKO who ordered the spare part and took 3 days! only to find they had only sent the door no hinges/pins just a door!!!! so nothing could be done when the engineer came to fix the new door and opened up the package . Will have to wait yet another 3 days for the spare part to arrive from Beko and sent to the engineers department. I am not able to cook as don't have an oven! This is disgraceful. I have called Beko who have apologised and said the person I spoke to at Beko should have ordered the door with hinges/pins. Have gone to Currys in Crayford tonight as want a refund now, as this is disgusting. They have said they will speak to Beko on Monday. Sales of Goods Act is that I bought the item from Currys so they should issue me with a refund!! Will take this up again on Monday

Team dontknowhow are completely useless. Idiot installer tripped by electrics by yanking the washing machine away from the wall. He started blaming my electrics. Stupid idiot didn't unplug the machine. He then broke the plastic lever on the valve claiming corrision. Came in through the front door and wouldn't use the side door as requested. Tossers left dirt all through the house. Didn't bother to use a bucket to catch the residual water, but let it pis all over the floor. Didn't bother to level the machine either. Dont let these people into your house they will trash it.
