I purchased a digital recorder in March 2017, but for several reasons it was not set up until near the end of the 12 month guarantee. It was then discovered that the sealed box was incomplete and there was no remote control. On returning it to the shop they bluntly told me that I could not prove that it was missing, and in any case it should have been returned much sooner. I shall not make the mistake of dealing with them again and I advise everyone else to avoid them also. I had a problem over 20 years ago when I purchased a new item which was a repackaged faulty one. An enquiry subsequently found that this had happened so often that the company was fined several million pounds for fraudulent practice. It seems that their business ethic has not improved.

Poor service. Recently I bought a new oven from this shop and paid extra for installation and for removing the old oven. On delivery, they just laid the new oven in its packing on the floor, made some absured excuses about wire being thick and walked away leaving me to find an electrician and appliance deposal service. This was very costly and time consuming for me. I am very disappointed. I will not recommend Currys service to anyone. MM

I contacted CURRYS today to buy an item...I was on the phone for a total of 65min. I phoned 5 times , my problem was not resolved so, on call number 4 and 5 I requested to speak to a manager and was fobbed off. Both agents would not put me through despite that I never got a clear response if it was company policy to block callers from speaking to management. The feedback facility was so amazing When I said hello the, automated voice said "We are sorry we could not get hold of you....for your feedback, .. you don't have to do anything...GOODBYE" I cant see this review being published... but will pass this on to everyone at tonight's dinner party and ALL my contacts on social media...also, I shall be taking my business elsewhere.

Its a pity there is no option for NO STARS but here is my story...... I have had nothing but problems with Currys and I certainly will NEVER use them again. I have had my Sony TV for 18 months and it been faulty for over 12 of them, I have a 5 year warranty, the TV has been "repaired" twice and the faults are still there. Currys have said that they have exhausted all their avenues of repair and have offered to buy the TV back from for £484, Is this fair for a TV which cost £850 when I bought it?....I think not. I cannot stress enough, If you are in the uk DO NOT buy any Sony products, if you have to and you think this "wont happen to you".....DO NOT BUY IT FROM Currys. Furthermore, Currys have constantly insisted that I direct my complaint through Sony even after I insisted to them that I have no contract with Sony my contract is with Currys. I have had all my actions verified correct by the "consumer rights" people before contacting Currys and they constantly flout my legal status. They will not win with me, I am going to dedicate all my spare time to exposing them for what they are.

UDATED REVIEW 22th March: Fourth attempt at delivering/installing tomorrow cancelled by TeamKnowHow. On to the 5th attempt now!!! No communication when cancelling this time (again). Monday 12th March: So, I was due to have a new integrated fridge delivered and fitted today so worked from home. We set this day when ordering a week ago and received a confirmation text on Saturday saying they would arrive today between 8:45 & 12:45 to do the job. Great! So, it is now 7pm and no one has come... We haven't received any message, emails or phone calls and the rather hopeless website just seems to show our status as "Order in Progress". Very disappointing. I'm kicking myself for not reading the many bad reviews here. If I had I wouldn't have touched Team Knowhow/Currys with a barge pole. Very unreliable. UPDATE 10am Tuesday 13th March: It is now Tuesday morning at 10am (The day after delivery was supposed to take place). No one has got in touch so I have contacted TeamKnowHow directly. On hold for 10 minutes and eventually the chap who took my call had the same information as myself (i.e. Zero) so he called the depot (another 10 minutes on hold). The depot eventually reported back to him that my order didn't even make it on to the lorry on Monday and wasn't even scheduled to go out. I have been told now the delivery and installation will happen this Friday because all the other days are full. Somehow I don't think this will be the end of this. UPDATE 11am Friday: So, today we were supposed to be having the fridge delivered. I suspected above this wouldn't happen and sure enough I was correct. I received a text from Team Knowhow on Wednesday saying that they would deliver on Friday between 7:40 & 11:40 and this morning (the day of delivery) they have left a message to say the item is not in stock and they will be delivering on Sunday (when I am not around). I've had to call them (another 10 minutes wait) to move the delivery to Monday. Let's see what happens on Monday (the 3rd attempt). So, to sumarise so far: Delivery slot number 1 (Monday): Did not show. No message at any point in the day. I had to call the follow. Delivery slot number 2 (Friday) Message received the morning of delivey saying they don't have the item to deliver. ** IF YOU HAVE TO TAKE TIME OFF WORK/MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO BE AROUND WHEN THEY DELIVER DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY DO NOT GIVE A ****. Update: Monday 19th Received a message yesterday telling me they can't deliver today because of the bad weather. I obviously have no quarms about this because the weather has been poor over the weekend however on my drive back from the school run this morning I passed a "TeamKnowHow" van in my neighbourhood! My sympathy has done down a notch and suspect the weather is being used as an excuse for another reason they'd rather not pass on. I have called the service team now and they have booked me in for the 4th attempted delivery/install this Friday. They could not do any sooner. Watch this space! Update Thursday 22nd March 4th attempted delivery due tomorrow and was slightly worried by the lack of communication regarding a time slot so gave TeamKnowHow a call to check. Low and behold someone at TeamKnowhow in the week cancelled my delivery slot without telling me and created a new slot without setting a delivery date so basically, no one is coming tomorrow, I don't have a delivery date and the earliest them can do now is Monday. This in now the 5th delivery attempt. If it's not delivered on Monday the order is cancelled

Most of the staff were very helpful but exceptionally rude customer service lady (Emma) in Guildford store - clearly thought she was more important that everyone else, kept interrupting, rolling her eyes. So unhelpful that we cancelled our order.

I ordered a washing machine on Saturday, and it was suppose to be delivered today (Monday). But apparently due to "snow and ice" (I can't see any) that we have I now have to wait until Thursday! If I ordered the same washing machine, it would be Wednesday delivery. I've contacted Currys 2 times over this and the attitude that I seem to be getting is they just don't give a toss. Do they like to p*** there customers off?

Bought a JVC tv from Currys and in less than a month I woke up to a loud bang, the TV was on the floor. It had ripped itself from the plastic stand which was supplied with the TV. I had originally paid to have the item delivered on a weekend as I cannot afford to take time off work but now they are saying that I should pay to have it taken to their store as it is a 32 inch TV and I can't carry it, or take time off to wait around on a weekday for them to collect it. They claim they only deliver on weekends they cannot collect on weekends... have you heard anything so ridiculous. They won't reimburse or replace until they get the item back... Why am I meant to extend myself in this way when it was not my fault. I bought this product in good faith, but what they sold me was shoddy and not fit for purpose and the onus should be on them to put things right!

I ordered a new oven and when they arrived they said they couldn't install it because I did have a "red cutoff switch" to cutoff the power. They said it was a legal requirement. I called an engineer to get a "red cutoff switch" installed and within 1 minute he had found the existing one. What a waste of my time and money.

bought a tv for£ 2700 on the sunday with wall bracket etc too be fitted by currys and with sky package .on the Monday I got an email that stated if I didn't get in touch with sky they would terminate the contract they were very vague as too why . they told me too get back in touch with currys who said they would have too change too another provider as sky could only guarantee 1.7 mb they then suggested talk talk which I accepted.the tv arrived on the Tuesday with 2 guys .I suggested they came through the back of the house as this would be easier with no staircase too negotiate .they said it was only light so they struggled it up the stairs into my lounge and left tv propped up against wall .this is a brand new house with brand new carpets..after I let them out the house .I walked back up stairs and noticed black marks left up walls.i tried too use sponge and warm water too remove marks but didn't work very well .then the guy too fit tv too wall came he started removing packaging too take tv out and called me into lounge too show me that the box had oil on it and had marked carpet ..he then fitted tv and called me back in too show me crack in trim of tv.i got in touch with currys who said they would sort it out.they then said that an engineer would come and fita new tv last Wednesday but at 7.30 in morning told me he wouldn't be coming ,at 10 oclock same day a guy calls me too say he is outside my house with new tv but isn't fitting it.i said too him are you sure this is correct he says yes ..so I get in my car too go home too meet him and halfway there he calls me too say he has been told too take it back.someone then calls me too say they will bring new tv on sunday between 1 and 4 and they will take damaged one away and replace with new.two guys turn up on sunday ..and then tell me they cant fit it because its on wall even though they (currys fittedit too wall)..today they tell me they will fit Thursday morning .I wont hold my breath.as for oil stain on carpet of which oil stained box is in my kitchenfor evidence I had a guy who called me today and basically was trying too infer either I or the original fitter had somehow got the oil into my place ..know how really should mean no nothing ..they are a catastrophic disaster too be avoided at all costs.it was easier too actually buy the house than deal with currys too fit a tv and broadband...every night looking at oil stain on brand new carpet with no resolve whatsoever

Currys do not care about the customer and I had called in and heard people swearing and shouting racist jokes across. I think this would go down as knowhow or whatever you call it. Really unpleasant l.
