“Poorest service I have ever experienced!
Despite cancelling an order and receiving a confirmation email of the cancellation, the order arrived at my doorstep without me being present and is taking 10 working days until they collect the order again.
The customer service is extremely poor, you cannot even escalate the matter. They simply don't care.
I would highly recommend not purchasing from Daals!”
“I have had similar experiences as others. Strange experiences when it comes to shipments of 2 boxes.
They shipped me 2 boxes and it was 2 different colors. I had to ship one box back. FedEx confirmed the delivery of the item. No response from Daals. I wrote them 2 days later and they were "Waiting for the item to reflect in their system". I wrote them and asked for a refund. Then they sent me a confusing email about how they are waiting on the item.
The latest update is that there is an "internal issue within our warehouse which we are trying to investigate". They can't send me a replacement box.
All emails to customer service respond with
Kind regards,
Name of person
I've interacted with "3" people. There is no customer service line.”
“I purchased a coffee table from Daals only four months ago, and despite minimal use, it's already showing signs of significant wear. There are white marks and a small chip on the surface, which makes me seriously question the durability and overall quality of the product. It’s extremely disappointing, especially considering it hasn't been subject to heavy use. For a relatively new item, this level of deterioration is unacceptable and speaks volumes about the quality. I’ve already been in touch with customer service and they’ve called it normal wear and tear, despite me reiterating that I’ve had the product for 4 months only.
If you're considering buying furniture from Daals, I'd strongly advise against it. Based on my experience, their products simply don't hold up. I won't be shopping with Daals again, nor would I recommend it to others. Terrible quality, and a disappointing experience overall.”
“They ask to confirm delivery by calling them within less than two hours. If you happen to work or whatever and can’t call them during this timeframe, they fine you for missed delivery! Probably the poorest service I’ve seen and they should be reported!”
“Poor quality couch. I asked to return it. They sent me from pillar to post. Then told me they wanted the couch in its original packaging which I had disposed off due to living in a small flat. I had offered to purchase special bubble wrapper but they refused.
I won’t buy here again. What a waste of my money.”
“Absolutely disgusted that Daals sent me a faulty sofa. Then, when I contacted them, with copious photos, said it was 'a change of mind' and wouldn't even attempt to rectify the issue. Gaslighting at its finest! Pregnant and ill in hospital I had to try and deal with this atrocious company and their cheaply made, shoddy products. I've now contacted Trading Standards and I've just made an appointment with my Solicitor for legal advice. Daals, you are a disgrace!
Oh! And 'Leanne' don't bother sending a copy and paste response that you can't find my order number as this would be a blatant lie, along with your blatantly sub-standard products, customer service and fraudulent positive reviews! I emailed Daals CEO (see below) zero response. Daals, you are in breach of UK Trading Standards Law.”
“Do not order with this company if you want to be treated as a valued customer. They do not state on their website at the point of purchase that express delivery (costing £29.99) has it's own set of internal terms of conditions which means they can wriggle out of any obligations if the item cannot be delivered on their advised date (they will only tell you 24 hours in advance when this will be).
If you are not available at that time then they regurgitate their well rehearsed scripts about how it can take a further 10 days simply to be rescheduled (even though you paid for delivery within 5 days) with no reassurance whatsoever that express delivery takes priority.
Once you have confirmed you have no choice but to reschedule, they will tell you that you can't ask for a refund on the delivery cost until the item is delivered (and they will flatly refuse to do so once it has).
You will then call regularly for an update, desperate not to get a slot which you can't be around for, every call handler fobs you off with, "Its with our planning department" or "I can't put you through to a manager" etc etc.
I'm happy to accept that there are terms that apply which allow businesses to operate but this information is not published at all on their website when you enter in a contract with them and quite frankly the way they operate their business is shameful.”
“Terrible experience. Daals fined me for not being able to collect a delivery with less than 24 hours notice.
I couldn't contact them to say i wasnt available because they didnt give me sufficient time and im a teacher who doesnt look at their phone during work ours and couldnt call after work as daals was closed.
I managed to get through in the morning but they said it was too late.
I was given a 2 hour window to reject the delivery day during work. 1-3.
They wouldn't let me contest the fine even though this is an error in their system.”
“They sent me the wrong colour of the table I ordered and sent 2 chairs when I paid for 4. When I told them to take it back as the colour of the table doesn’t go with my furniture they refused and said I have to send it back myself and won’t do a collection. This company is a scam so watch out!!”
“If I could give less than 1 star I would. The couch we had delivered was very expensive, and the quality is extremely poor. It is more like a futon than a true sofa. As for customer service, it is even worse. You have to pay 35% of the total cost of your item to return it, plus a shipping fee. For expensive items, this can amount to a lot. I am regretful to have bought from this company and can guarantee it will not happen again.”
“DODGY DAALS! We ordered a dressing table with two side tables for our bed. We were waiting for our items on 5/9/24 but the dodgy daals dodgy driver went to the wrong address. Now they are asking for £60 fee for missed delivery.
This is absolutely ridiculous. I advise you to avoid this dodgy daals.”
“Would give 0 if I could. I spent $710 on a table that was supposed to come in two boxes and only one was delivered. I've been in contact with Customer Service for two weeks via email (since they don't have a phone #) and after telling me they were "arranging shipment of box #2", the latest update as of today is "We're showing both boxes were delivered." I have provided more than enough documentation to show the issue. FedEx tracking # shows they never received the box. Will be taking to small claims court if it's not resolved.”
“DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Worst experience I've ever had with a retailer. Sofa arrived damaged, so I contacted them and they sent the wrong parts. The 2 sides of the sofa didn't fit together, so it looked wonky. And to top it all off, the legs of the sofa collapsed. Daals don't offer any form of compensation for the distress - be warned. We are having to wrap our sofa in bubble wrap, wait for it to be collected and then HOPEFULLY we'll receive a refund. Process has taken over a month. Absolutely shocking customers service with staff who couldn't care less. If you're looking for an alternative at a similar price point, head to Dusk.”
“STAY AWAY,this company is awful,I can't stress enough how unhelpful and absolutely appalled at their ( not so helpful customer services) I had ordered a 3 seater, chair and footstool, the delivery driver basically throws them at you and drives off, they are flat packed and the quality is absolutely terrible,we called them to explain that they weren't as described,we got told tough you have to pay to send them back to us,we tried 6 shipping company's that either wouldn't because of their weight or the cost would have been nearly as much as the suite?myself & my partner are both disabled so we can't move them ourselves, and the wouldn't pick them up for a few?we now are stuck with a suite we can't use and over $1000 lost, and I've had to order a new suite. I've never experienced the most disgusting attitude of them (you can't speak to anyone in the UK) of their call centres...awful!!!never buy because if you have a problem you're stuck.”
“"Terrible Experience and Discriminatory Practices!
I had an appalling experience with Daals, and I feel compelled to share my story to warn others. As a person with a disability, I specifically requested that my items be delivered to my door since I physically cannot carry heavy boxes on my own. Not only did Daals ignore this request, but they also left the heavy boxes in a locker room 200 meters away from my building—at a location I didn't even have access to as a new homeowner.
I was forced to wait two days to retrieve the boxes, and then I had to hire someone to carry them to my flat, incurring additional costs. When I reported this clear disregard for my situation to Daals, highlighting how this violated my rights under the Equality Act 2010, they simply deflected responsibility and told me to take it up with the courier—a courier they chose, by the way.
To make matters worse, when I requested to return the products, they had the audacity to tell me I needed to pay the return shipping costs. This is not only unacceptable but outright discriminatory! As a disabled person, I cannot access cheaper return options like drop-off points and am forced to pay higher fees for at-home collection. Daals’ treatment of disabled customers is not only shameful but shows a complete lack of empathy and responsibility.
They have since gone silent, ignoring my concerns, and it's clear that people with disabilities mean nothing to them. I will not accept this blatant discrimination and will pursue this matter further. If you value customer service, fairness, and basic human decency, stay far away from Daals!"**”
“placed a ~£900 order and opted for Daals' express delivery (£29.99), following which I received an email stating my delivery slot, and a request to confirm it's acceptable. After 3x emails + 3x calls I asked the Daals team to cancel my order, as they had 0 flexibility and would not offer any alternatives (except for another random day, 1+ week later).
Despite the customer care rep's assurances they did nothing and I had to call again next day to get confirmation of cancellation. Just to be clear, this company preferred to lose the sale than offer some options on delivery. They still charged me the £29.99 - what a horrible customer experience”
“Can confirm ALL of the terrible reviews. It is more or less a scam company geared toward getting you to cancel or return items and then charging a crazy amount for "return" and "restocking". Please be advised.”
“Terrible Quality and Even Worse Customer Service - Avoid Daals at All Costs!
I am beyond frustrated with my experience with Daals. I purchased a bed from them, and within a week, it became clear that the product was of shockingly poor quality. The bed headboard shakes with the slightest touch of one finger, which is completely unacceptable for something that’s supposed to provide stability and comfort. We are scared to sit in the bed and lean against the headboard in case the whole thing collapses and we hurt ourselves.
To make matters worse, when I reached out to Daals on July 21st—just 7 days after delivery—to express my concerns and request a refund, I was met with dismissive and unhelpful responses.
Despite clearly explaining that the bed is unfit for purpose, Daals had the audacity to claim that the bed is in perfect condition and refused to collect the item for a refund. According to their so-called quality control team, there are "no confirmed faults" with the product. Really? Since when is it acceptable for a bed to wobble with the slightest movement? This kind of response shows a complete disregard for customer satisfaction and basic product quality.
It’s infuriating that Daals refuses to honor the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which clearly states that goods must be as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality. Daals is in blatant breach of contract, and their refusal to issue a refund despite these clear violations is unacceptable.
I am stuck with a substandard product that I no longer want, and Daals has shown absolutely no willingness to rectify the situation. Their customer service is non-existent, and I would strongly advise anyone considering a purchase from them to think twice. I will never be buying from Daals again, and I urge others to avoid them at all costs.
Save yourself the headache and shop elsewhere.”
