“Upset, angry and let down can only describe the experience I’ve had with Daals.
Being a repeat customer I had high expectations for the £749.99 ottoman bed I ordered which was delivered on the 11th January in dirty damp moldy boxes.
The bed was put together a few days later after arranging for my old bed to picked up on the same day we were able to assemble the new bed due to my partner having back issues after a bad child labour.
Unfortunately the metal bed frame does not fit inside the base with ample room for 1. The ottoman to function as it should (opening & closing) and 2. Without it ripping the material on the lip of the base every time you have to force it open. I have built plenty of furniture and am a professional builder by trade so very capable of assembling furniture correctly following all instructions provided.
I have been in contact with customer services over the last few weeks exchanging numerous time consuming emails and photo/video evidence to which they will not provide me with a full refund as requested due to the bed not working as it should!
They want me to buy new boxes (old boxes had to be thrown out as were damp dirty and ripped upon delivery) big enough to re package the bed, send a photo of it packaged then they will arrange a pick up which could take up to 10 days and then exchange the bed which could take another god knows how many weeks to be delivered.
Apparently in their terms and conditions you’re supposed to keep the boxes 30 days post delivery (even if I had they were not have been fit to re package the bed due to the poor condition they arrived in).
As mentioned above my partner has an extremely bad back and cannot sleep on a mattress without the base due to poor support.
I am appalled at the level of ‘customer service’ provided and will NEVER use this company again.
All I can say is DO NOT order from daals unless you want to be consumed with stress, anger and pure frustration. You pay a lot of money to this company to be left with a faulty a product that does not do what is it advertised to do. Shocking.”
“The Absolute worst customer service.
Do not buy anything from this company! I purchased 6 chairs, upon opening three out of the six is where the problems occurred. One chair was damaged with scratches. Another chair has a terribly wrinkled cushion. Another chair has rusty colored screws and misaligned backing. I’ve reached out to customer service one week after the chairs arrived. I’ve informed them of the issues. I also let them know the other three boxes were not opened. Customer service informed me to send photos and video to ensure I’m not lying. I sent the photos and videos and they asked for more videos. Customer service also informed me to open the other three boxes to check there status. After 2 weeks of back and forth emails, customer service told me new customer service department will reach out. This company is a scam!”
“Two months have passed and still waiting for my order which should have arrived by 19th December. They took my money knowing the item I had purchased was not in stock.
Stressed with keep chasing them and again told 2 weeks ago it would be going out for delivery.
Found this page this morning and all my fears confirmed. I will be asking for my money back on Monday.”
“Daals have been a nightmare to deal with. I would advise anyone to not purchase from them unless they want to lose money. They refuse to refund for faulty products and will not let you speak with a member of management. Faulty parts are falling out on the floor and I have a young toddler who can easily swallow this. Terrible quality, terrible service AVOID!!!!”
“I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with daals. I initially called to cancel my order before the delivery was attempted, yet my request was completely ignored. Despite my proactive efforts to avoid unnecessary issues, the delivery went ahead anyway, and now I’m being charged an outrageous £80 for a missed delivery fee.
This charge is unacceptable, especially considering I made every effort to cancel the order beforehand. It’s clear my concerns and requests weren’t taken seriously, and I feel this is a poor way to treat customers.
To make matters worse, the lack of accountability and customer service has left me feeling frustrated and unheard. I expected better communication and a fair resolution, but instead, I’m stuck dealing with unfair fees and delays in getting my refund.
I wouldn’t recommend daals to anyone based on this experience, and I hope they take steps to improve how they handle cancellations and treat their customers in the future.”
“Daals Pienza Cane Sofa bed - Taupe and black armrests and frame:
Firstly, problems with delivery (not within the agreed timeframe), secondly the sofa was delivered in a single box weighing 56KG. The delivery team would not take this up to the first floor.
Thirdly and most importantly, when partially opening the box, the colour of the fabric is significantly different from the images on the website (see photos) and extracting the armrests, the quality was appalling - nothing like the picture on the website (see attached photos).
Daals have responded that to them both are acceptable. In my opinion they are in breach of the Trades Description Act.
Returning the sofa in the original package as demanded by Daals will cost the minimum of £225 + VAT”
“Their delivery is an absolute mess. Many items haven’t even arrived after promised delivery of 18-20th December and now won’t refund part of the order as it has “been fulfilled”.
Products are decent but I’ve honestly spent hours chasing this company and dealing with a totally broken delivery system. Save your time and shop elsewhere
EDIT: you can see in the response that this was meant to be delivered on Friday... unsurprisingly, it was not delivered meaning I still haven't received my items. A total mess.
EDIT 2: it’s January 9th and I still haven’t received anything. Not even a delivery date.”
“Potential buyer beware. Don’t ever buy from this company. I’ve been waiting to receive my in stock items for two months. If you call their delivery company, the delivery company says they’re waiting on Daals. Email Daals, wait a few days for a response ,and they say they’re waiting on the delivery company. Can’t talk with a human because their “live chat” feature doesn’t work. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.”
“The Algo 2 seater sofa bed was purchased to enable to let my grandchildren sleep on it, the sofa bed I would call it A piece of wood with a thin layer of material .
It is not a sofa bed i could have gone out to B&Q to buy a piece of MDF and put a thin layer of material on it or even better told my 7 year old granddaughter to sleep on the floor as that would have been much more comfortable.
They refuse to give my money back ,as the packaging was completely damaged on how we had to open it to be re used to send it back.
At the moment i am feeling very stressed trying to get my money back through PayPal as I thought it be better to pay through them incase anything goes wrong .
It has and still been a challenge for PayPal to accept that Daals a fraudulent change their reviews on their website to make customer think the items they are selling are good quality as they say . I don’t know how PayPal can let a company get away with all this!!”
“The most ridiculous company ever. They send the product a month late and their return policy is horrendous. They expect me to use my own money for returns which is turning out to me more expensive than the actual cost of the product. In addition to that they deduct 49 dollars plus 10% restocking fee plus 25% more for oversized items. Please never do any business with them. This is one of the worst furniture store experiences ever”

“I will never ever buy from this scammers, they will scam you , I bought a living room tv stand , they charged me twice , they sent me two of them when I checked my c card I found the double charge , I sent them an email within 3 hours from the order , they responded 2 days later on purpose and told me that too late , but don’t worry when you receive just seem it back to us , well guess the no problem became a big problem, I had to pay 175 for sending it back and the plus 475 for the tv stand .

“The worst customer services and product you will receive!
One of the worst customer services you will ever experience, Their products will destroy your home and are very poor quality, their policies and procedures are despicable this company sent me 4 dining chairs that I paid a lot of money for and they all have manufacture Faults with the legs having a very sharp plastic mechanism that scratches and destroys your floors even if you put those soft safeguards on from amazon, the bottom of the dining chair legs, design and shape wil keep causing the safeguards to come off and your floors will keep getting destroyed and scratched.
when I reported This to daals they offered me an exchange for the exact same piece which does not solve the problem and will make me go around in circles. I told them the only thing I’ll accept will be an exchange for a different collection that doesn’t have this defect or they can give me a full refund, which they declined and told me that an exchange for the same piece is the only option to offer me. They have terrible customer service. They don’t have the customers best interest at heart. I am now having to submit a section 75 under the consumer right act to have this resolved through my bank.

Daals has the most horrible customer service. Terrible return policy. I will never ever shop with them again. it will cost twice the price of the merchandise to return defective products.”
“Complete lack of consideration and respect for their customers with zero empathy, impossible delivery time-frames with no flexibility, insufficient warning and poor communication skills. Charged exorbitant fees for a 'missed delivery' despite my clearly informing them well in advance (the week before) that I would not be available for the delivery that day. Furthermore the delivery window times are not adhered to, I received a delivery at 6:30am when it was expected between 7-9am (also note that they assigned this time slot, it was not requested) And to add insult, customers should be aware that Daals do not insure their drivers to carry items up stairs which is not obvious when placing orders. While some customer service representatives themselves are polite and professional, they are inflexible and totally unable to adapt to any delivery problems. I will not be ordering from Daals again after my third incredibly frustrating, bad experience.”
