The worst store ever. Purchased shoes for my girlfriend to wear at a wedding last weekend. Opted for 48hr delivery. They came in 72 hours. The shoe box was heavily damaged and inside was a pair of 2nd hand shoes. We contacted you straight away via email with photos of the shoes. We heard nothing back until the Monday so my Girlfriend had no time /options but to wear the shoes. We have since been told to return the shoes but that would leave us with the same problem, no shoes to match the outfit for another function we have to attend next weekend. I have since been offered a 10% refund. So in effect I tried to purchase a pair of brand new shoes for £X. Instead I've ended up with a pair of 2nd hand shoes( clearly no good to you) for £X minus 10%. Very disgruntled customer and I will never use your store again. Mr Johnny Howden

Dear Johnny, Thank you for your review. All our orders should be quality checked before they are sent out to a customer so I apologise if this had not been done, this has been taken up with the relevant staff. Our Customer Services Team are available Monday to Friday 9am-6pm, so unfortunately your email was not answered until Monday. We asked you to return the shoes to us for a full refund or exchange, however the shoes had already been worn so we offered a discount of 10% based on the photos that had been sent to us. As you were not happy with this discount we offered 15% which you accepted. If you would like to discuss this matter further please do contact us via email or by calling 0113 2426555. unfortunately I can not say I've had pleasant experiences with you. Twice I tried to order a product, and I twice and the order was canceled. and certainly not for lack of money to the credit card but I have not yet figured out why.

Daniel Footwear was very quick to take my money. It's been well over a week and I am still without the shoes I purchased. So they have my money and I have nothing. No phone call, no apology. I will be quick to go now to the ombudsman to explore how I can expose this poor service and make sure no one else is ripped off by these charlatans and incompetents.

Dear Christine, Thank you for your feedback. Firstly, apologies that you have had such a problem with your order, I believe your husband was in contact with my colleague Laura until recently regarding this parcel. There was a specific issue with your order, that did our utmost to resolve as quickly as we could, but delays meant that we could not resolve the issue as swiftly as we would have liked. Your order was dispatched on the same day that it was placed, but unfortunately through no fault of our own a courier error meant that this was cross labelled and received by another customer. As soon as we became aware of this, an email was sent explaining the situation. Usually, in this scenario, a replacement pair would have been dispatched to you the following day, but unfortunately the one that had been sent was the last pair in the company, which meant we had to wait to receive it back before we could send it on to you, which was unfortunately the cause of the major delay. I am aware that this will have tested your patience and shaken your confidence in using our company in the future, but i can assure you that every step was taken to try to ensure that you received the item as quickly as possible. A partial refund had already been agreed during the time your husband was in contact, and now a full refund for the remaining amount has been actioned for you. Have not received my order. I was out when the delivery arrived. Rang the delivery company and they put me on hold, put the phone down twice, then told me the address on the computer was different from mine and would not discuss the outstanding delivery with me even though they had already tryed to deliver!

We do not usually have any problems with getting in touch with our couriers regarding particular parcels, arranging re-delivery or delivery instructions, so apologies that you have been one of the few that have experienced problems. These didn't fit me very well at all so I have returned them. However I am STILL waiting for a refund from Daniels. Not very happy with this service at all!

Dear Kate, Thank you for your review. If you have sent your order back using our free returns label, this is a 2nd class service and can take up to a week to be delivered to us. Once received we aim to process it within 48 hours. If you are worried please send me the tracking barcode from your post office receipt and I may be able to process it earlier for you. Terrible service, online the shoes were available, you took my money then realised you didn't have them and took 4 days to return my money. Contacted your customer service on the phone and email and again got very poor service, cheers for wasting my time

Dear Gareth, Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that you are not happy with the service provided. Unfortunately our stock is pulled from store and is subject to availability as per our terms and conditions. We do have a stock buffer on the website so that we can avoid these situations, this is a rare occurrence. Your order was placed and refunded with 3 hours so your payment was voided rather than refunded. This means that the payment should have never left your bank and should have cleared instantly. I apologise if this has not happened, the payment left our bank and unfortunately took longer to clear with yours. I ordered a pair of shoe and paid for next day delivery so that I had them in time for my nieces communion. After placing the order and changing the delivery address to my work address as I wouldn’t be home to wait for the parcel I got an email a few hours later telling me my order could not be processed because my billing address wasn’t the same as my delivery address. I don’t know why it gives the option to change the delivery address if it is then going to be denied. After several emails back and forth trying to resolve the issue and asking for them to go head and deliver for my billing address I was told that this could not be processed and I had to cancel the order and try again. This meant having to wait several days for my payment to be returned which in turn meant that I could not purchase the shoes in time for the event required.

Dear Paula, Thank you for your review. I am so sorry to hear that this has happened and that you have been inconvenienced by this situation. Our payment system runs a series of fraud checks to enable us to send our orders out securely. When ordering through PayPal, the addresses that you use need to be verified with PayPal. If they are not able to verify the address then we are required to contact you and ask for proof of address before we proceed with your order. These measures are taken in line with our payment processor’s guidelines and for the protection of our customers as well as our own. In this instance your order came through with your delivery address as your billing address. This address had not been verified with PayPal so we contacted you requesting proof of address. Unfortunately we are not able to change the address on PayPal orders as the new address has not been processed through the system. Our only option is to cancel the order as it stands and re-place it with the correct information. I am aware that your billing address changed to your delivery address whilst using PayPal at check out, so I will look into this matter so that it does not happen again. I am not aware of this happening before so I sincerely apologise for this technical difficulty. Dear Sean, Thank you for your review. I apologise for my late reply, we have had some technical issues with our review system. I'm sorry to hear that your order was out of stock. Most of our stock is pulled from store, so we rely on their stock count being correct. We are required to have a minimum amount of stock available for the website so that any discrepancies do not affect our online customers. Checked the returns policy before ordering and was assured that returns were free. Went to return the shoes I bought and had to pay £8.90 because they were in the sale and not covered by free returns. Will not be shopping with Daniel again.

I returned the flip flops as they where not the colour I thought they would be, tired to call there customer services, it went to answer machine left message that was a week ago, still waiting for them to call me back, also haven't received refund, so not impressed with Daniel footwear, quick to take your money but no after sales customer services.

Sent the wrong size.. 5 days after returning the item still refused to refund me, in the end I had to open a case with paypal.. Love them in the shop awful online experience will never shop there again

I purchased a pair of uggs and had to follow up with your company myself a week later as I had heard nothing. I was then told I was supposed to receive an email from you asking for proof of address. After a number of emails back and forth I was told my order would be dispatched only to receive an email the following day telling me the product was now out of stock! Not a good example of customer service for a first time user of your site.

I ordered the tan classic short boots with chocolate logo and received them with the light logo,not accepeptable when ur paying £150 pound for them.
