“Appalling.
One item delivered so one star. Second item - I was informed that it had been 'despatched' My Hermes tracking still said waiting for your parcel. Tried phoning Debenhams, a recorded message said there could be a 5-10 minute wait. Tried e mailing, got a ticket number . Phoned the next day, waited 24 minutes listening to recorded music. Yes I really wanted this item as a gift. Finally, someone came on the line and said that as the tracking had not been updated for 3 days , the parcel was considered lost in transit. I was offered a refund which took 3 minutes to authorise and give me a number and confirm that the long phone call was not free.
My husband tells me that Debenhams had a new CEO to improve company especially online side, he has failed!”

“How Debenhams ruined Christmas.
I ordered a laptop for £1500 from them, booked the day off work to receive it, then 22 hours before it was due to be delivered, they cancelled the order saying it was 'unavailable' - except it was available, they had just INCREASED the price by £410. Despite this I had everything organised and time was running out to get it before Christmas (this was the 9th), they ignored every e-mail I sent, I was unable to contact them using their live chat system either.
I know what you're thinking, "So don't shop at Debenhams then, get it somewhere else" - but they have taken payment in full, despite cancelling my order haven't refunded it back to by card - I'm actually having to go to the bank and declare it a fraudulent transaction in the hope of getting my money back and I don't have a spare £1500 just lying around, but now it'll be too late to get delivery before Christmas.
Don't risk having your day ruined, avoid Debenhams at all costs.”
“Got my order -candelabra for Christmas and it's all in scratches!!!! Never expierenced such an awful quality!! I ordered from Norway so it is too much effort to return it, but never ever ordering from here again! And would offer for other international buyers to avoid thos shop!!!”
“They are useless takes at least 1 hour on hold before you speak to someone, when you do eventually get on the phone to a person they are rude and don’t help you at all.
Made a claim didnt fight my corner and put me at fault straight after I made the claim although I had proof to prove I wasn’t.”

“I phoned up my local store as I had seen a jumper on their website I wanted to buy but couldn't get into town to purchase. As the offer was only on for one day only I asked them if they could keep it for me to pick up the following day at the same price. I was s told it wasn't a problem and they put it one side for me. I was very impressed with this customer care and when I went in to collect it I was able to purchase my item very easily and quickly. I was very pleased with the way I was treated and use defendants for a lot of my purchases throughout the year.”
