“My initial interaction through the website and booking to collect the item was smooth and efficient. When I went to the store to collect the items, it was a challenge to find a staff member to assist me and when i finally managed to find a member of staff, the girl could not track my items and after numerous questions to other staff she finally located the items after approx 15 mins. This last part of the service let the entire process down.”

“As a golfer I have to order on line even though my nearest store is only a few miles away it does not stock any golfing equipment. However when I have ordered on line the transactions have been very smooth.”

“You can't go wrong with Decathlon! They have consistently solved my queries and problems quickly, and I can't get over just how much great value for money they are. If I have walked out the shop with an item that had a defect, they made it painless to get it changed, or they simply let me swap it for another item–hell I've even got my money back on several occasions. I've also stress tested their stuff against better-branded equipment and often found no difference. With their awesome loyalty program, I'm also able to renew my walking boots often, which then lets me give my used but still in great condition pair, to someone who needs them more. Unless I'm really looking for highly specialized gear to accomplish very specific criteria (very rare), I'll always find myself dropping into a Decathlon store. Thumbs up from me :-D”

“These shoes were perfect for water sports, I used on a 1 week canoe trip and it was perfect, kept my feet warm (splashes on the boat) Highly recommend it!”

“I was pleased with the goods when they arrived. I was also extremely pleased with the staff at your Stockport store when I phoned up for some advice. What I was not pleased with was the cost of the delivery £10:00, which I had to pay because the nearest store to me, I live in Southwest Wales, was Southampton. This cost has definitely put me off buying from u again.”

“Great products. I ordered on line and collected via click and collect from your Reading store. The Girl on the til wasn't very helpful and seemed under pressure due to lack of staff. I ordered 2 items 1 of which unfortunately was too small and you did not have this item on the shelf to exchange with, so I was given a refund. Being honest I purchased this item (similar jacket) from another retailer as they offered free delivery and I did not want to travel to the store again to click and collect a larger size as the store is some miles away from where I live. The other item was cycling gloves which are great and will give me extra comfort through the winter. Overall... great products which would benefit from free delivery and I am sure this puts consumers off ordering on line from you.”

“I had to send everything that I ordered back first time as your size guide was completely wrong, i.e. size guide showed UK medium top was 100-103cm, however when both the base layer and jersey arrived the label read medium 92-95cm. However your customer service department replied to my email very quickly and arranged for me to return all items. I reordered the large size and the jersey fits great, however the base layer is still too small; I can’t be bothered returning them again so shall give them to my wife as a Christmas present (only joking). So in conclusion, customer services top of the class, size guide needs improving.”

“I bought a Kemmel mountain bike from your Braehead store in August 2015 and am very happy with it. It is a basic model but well made and at £85 is exceptional value. I ordered and paid for it online for pick-up at the store. I duly received an e-mail and picked up the bike. It was fully assembled and ready to go which impressed me further. I took out a loyalty card at the time of pick-up also. A few days later I received an e-mail stating that as I had not collected the bike the order would be cancelled and I would have the purchase price refunded to my card. I telephoned the store during working hours but nobody ever answered the phone so I left a message with my name and number and a brief outline of what had happened. Nobody has ever returned my call and I don't seem to have a refund so I can only assume that all is well. I did worry a little that I could potentially have a bike that I had not actually paid for. I would stress that all members of staff whom I have spoken to were very nice and very efficient - it is just the automated side of things which let me down here. I would be interested in any feedback from this? I have always liked your products and prices but my latest experience was a little off-putting.”
