“DID Electrical are one of the worst Companies in Ireland for after sales service. I purchased a hob and single oven from DID Electrical Malahide Road Dublin 5. I paid
€834.35 for these goods which included €80 for installation. I booked installation date on 11th September to have the work carried out on Monday 20th Sept. They never came to install. I phoned Mslahide Road 3 times that morning to sort it out. They said they would phone me back but I never heard from them and then in the day when I got through to them all I got was excuses. Then today Tuesday I phoned distribution and spoke to Helena. She said she would phone me back in an hour and a quarter but never happened. Then at 3pm I phoned again spoke to Laura she said she would me back again I heard nothing. This service is absolutely disgraceful. They advertise they are an Irish Co. in business since 1968. The Management should be ashamed of the service they provide the Irish customers.

“Still waiting for TV ordered on 19th August, it is now 8th September. On order tracking it is still at the "order accepted" stage. They were quick enough to take my money. Phone never gets answered. Will not buy online from them again.”
“Waiting since last July for a replacement for a faulty fridge. When promised delivery today I waited in all day and no fridge arrived.Very disappointing.

“We bought landline phones in May in Crumlin DID- Several times calls weren't heard when calls came in or if we calls. Eventually we returned them in August but calls were still with crackling on line
Today once more called to DID shop where customer service was nil- refund but not full amount- we have been customers for years and the assistant would have seen this by looking on shop computer- payment always by credit card- so even without receipt this would show
Returned with receipt- assistant on lunch- but another salesperson listened- refunded the amount but this is too late!!
We always found staff pleasant to deal with over the years but thanks to this episode DID have lost customers because a member of their staff was not polite or helpful”

“the biggest disgrace of a shop ever, I ordered 6 weeks ago online, waited 3 weeks, cancelled ( after very much trouble to get through, hours on the phone mailbox full) they said refund in 3 to 7 working days., 12 working days on 5 weeks since purchase they are still holding my money no communication, not one apology or offer to make things better, right now waiting on the phone to ask where is my money!!!! avoid if you don't need a ton of problems!!”
“Oh why, oh why did I not check out the reviews on this company before ordering online. A simple order for an urgently needed laptop which I presumed I could collect next day from my nearest shop....WRONG. Message to say it could be 5-7 days or even longer if not in stock?? Wish to cancel but waited yesterday on phone to customer service for 45 mins before the line disconnected. Phoned again and left msg for a call back. Have sent 5 emails in the last 24 hours requesting a call...Nothing. Does their customer service centre even exist, or is it all a sham? I want a refund of my €540 (in their pockets for 3 days now) immediately so I can purchase from Powercity. Should have ordered from them in the first place (100% better company) but I thought it might be good to spread my custom with other Irish suppliers. Big mistake.”

Worst service ever. Ordered a coffee machine for my friend's birthday online. It should have arrived by this TUESDAY at the latest.. Its now Friday. The order hasn't progressed since placed at all but I've of course been charged. I've tried calling several times and get cut off after holding at length. I then selected their leave a message for a call back option where they promise a reply within 24 hrs...no call. I've now sent 7 service request emails via their request form and they keep marking the issue as resolved without replying or progressing my order. The item hasn't even reached the picked stage. Facebook is full of similar complaints. The Trading Standards Board should look into this and I will be notifying them of my experience. I'll be adding my order regret to the list of others on FB and twitter tomorrow. What an embarrassing lack of "service". This is starting to feel like a scam @DID.”
“The worst and unprofessional and dishonest service I had seen .
Bought full appliances for almost 4000 euros from there , scheduled delivery then no sign of delivery and not even any contact from them , kept calling Blanchardstown DID and manager answered and said sorry expect to have it delivered tomorrow and that he will follow up . No sign of delivery again and they Don’t pick up the phone. Completly unprofessional and dishonest. Easy to take your money but can’t deliver . That’s to add they lied about having the oven in stock when it wasn’t ( sorry it’s a system mistake - that’s what I got ). They need to be exposed in press - thinking about that now !”
“Absolutely DISGUSTING, I bought a TV went to the website and scheduled the delivery for Friday, it got confirmed to Saturday and still on Saturday it didn't show up, no heads up no update, i went to the chat online and no explanation why( just that had been a mistake). Remembering that this is a 25 euro delivery, when about any shop anywhere it is free.
Expect to be treated like a fool by them.”
“Absolutely dreadful customer service from manager of DID Blanchardstown. A customer for 40 years. Purchased a TV for 700 euro in Jan 2021. Has.sound issues from early on. Again now and am expected to go the process of sending it back for repair again..weeks without TV. I did not hand over 700 euro to DID to have to go through this kind of treatment. NOT GOOD ENOUGH!”

“I purchased a Lenovo laptop from DID in Finglas. The microphone stopped working whilst still under guarantee so I returned it to be repaired. When it was returned to me, all my data and information had been totally wiped. This was an unnecessary action to repair a microphone issue, so I had not backed anything up. I received absolutely no warning that wiping my data was even a remote possibility. This is contrary to DID policy, which states should it be necessary to wipe data, you will be advised and asked to give consent.
Furthermore, the laptop was returned with stress cracks in various locations on the keyboard. Having researched it, this seems to be a recurring problem with Lenovo products. Basically, if I open the lid, the plastic pulls in 2 different directions and the cracks worsen.
I brought this to the attention of DID in December 2020 but only got a final answer today. The store manager I dealt with was very polite and helpful. But basically the decision lies with the Customer Service Manager. She has decided absolutely nothing will be done to address either issues of wiping my data without warning and consent or the fact that I cannot even open the lid of this laptop without the case cracking. I have been left with no data and a laptop that must sit open, in a stationary position as the mere action of opening the lid causes more damage. I have asked that the Customer Service Manager, who has never even seen this laptop contact me but I have been told that will not happen. I have lost all my data and am left with an unusable product.”
“I ordered laptop nearly 3 weeks ago. Paid few hundreds and nothing yet. Contacted customer service and they couldn’t answer themselves what’s gone wrong. They didn’t even know if the item had left the shop after 3 weeks. So disappoint, especially cause this laptop was for my daughter to access home schooling now.
Waiting their call back with explanations but do t have much hope. I think at this stage I just want my money back.”
